Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to inform you to inform about the poor customer service provided by the Sony India Company. I bought a PlayStation 3 Super Slim on 9th October 2013.The console cost me 23000/- . The console was brought from a Sony Center located at 42 Gariahat Road, Kolkata - 70029. It had 1 year warranty. But after moderately using it for 20 months one day it suddenly stops working. I called the service center regarding the repair of my ps3 but I was informed that PlayStation 3s are not repaired in India. As an alternate solution they will only give me a discount if I want to buy a new ps3. After further asking I came to know that this discount is rather measly and I would have to spend perhaps more than 18000/- (maybe more) to buy the same ps3. This situation is very disheartening for me because I paid full price for an original console and avoided other any other black market/ modded ps3 just so I can get the service from Sony. If I had been informed at the time of buying about their policy I would have never bought that. As far as I understand, concealing factual information about the true nature of Service/Repair to a customer at the time of purchase and forcing the customer to "buy" a "replacement" at a discounted price is deceptive and shameful. I sincerely hope that I have been able to describe you my problem and request you to come up with a viable solution at the earliest.

    Sir,


    I bought a Sony Xperia ZL mobile handset from M/s Sony Centre, Kottayam, Kerala on 4 October 2013. After a mere 14 months o[censored]se, the phone developed complaints and I gave it at M/s Madona Care, the authorised service centre of Sony at Kottayam. I thought that it was just a software complaint. But the service centre told me that the phone was not repairable. They also told me that the company would give me some offers, so that my phone can be replaced. Their offer was that they would give me another phone, if I gave them 1/3 of the price of the handset.


    Accordingly I surrendered my ZL phone and remitted an advance of Rs.5000/- to them.


    After three weeks, I was informed that the replacement was ready and that I could accept it after remitting the balance amount of Rs.4240/-. So I got a replacement phone after remitting a total amount of Rs.9240/-. When I asked about the warranty, they told me that, in case the phone developed any complaints, I could approach them with the invoice given to me.


    After six months, the replacement phone also developed complaints and I approached the service centre with the invoice. When I contacted them after a week, I was informed that the complaint was not repairable and another replacement would be given within a week. When I contacted them after a week, they told me that approval was not received from the Company and that everything would be ok soon.


    When I contacted them next time, they asked me to contact the service manager and gave me the phone number of one Mr. Vinod. When contacted, he told me that the company was reminded about my issue and that the problem would be sorted out soon. Again I contacted him after two days, and was told that a complaint had been lodged to the company for getting warranty. I also got an SMS to this effect. When I called him again after two days, I was told that the set had no warranty. Actually, if they had not offered any warranty, shouldn’t they have repaired my set then and there?. If there was no warranty, why did they resubmit my issues to the company? I believe that, if one checks the emails sent by the service centre, one can get evidence that my set had been offered warranty. What I had narrated above is absolutely true. It is gross injustice that a world- famous company is treating a customer like this. Actually I was cheated by the authorised service centre of Sony. What I spent during last one and a half years for a phone is nearly Rs.40, 000/- I request you to do the needful to redress my grievance and to remedy for the hardships I faced both financially and mentally. You may please take action to at least replace the phone as agreed by the service centre. You are also requested to take appropriate steps against the service centre for cheating and insulting a customer.

        Respected sir, this is second complain . I have purchased sony XperiaT3(Imei number - [protected])(model -D5102, Black) from Suryansh communication sanjay place (address-block no-41/2G, sanjay place agra) On 5th june 2015. I faced many problems while using my phone like -heating problem, while my phone is unplugged then also charging sign is shown above with improper and fluctuations of battery usage, in camera -time burst effect backs itself, pattern lock not working, on first time using of Google Chrome and play store message occurs-" unfortunately Google Chrome/play store has stopped working"respectively, Back key is not working while using whatsapp. I went to the shop from where I have purchased (mentionedabove) on 7th June (exactly after 2days of purchase) for complain but in response I got that I have to wait for 15 days unless an update of lollipop version occurs and I wasn't informed that I can replace my phone in 7 days, I have one year insurance... Also I went 5 to 6 times to authorized service centre near subhash park agra(ankur care centre), but they were unable to resolve my problem... I kindly request to intervene my problems resolve it as soon as possible or give me cash or you can also give another seal pack mobile ... Or I have to take a legal action against company.. After one replacement of my mobile he give another mobile to me with same problems as mentioned above .He also doest not give me mobile smart band or flipcover but on mobile box there was sticker which wsas free New mobile replacement (IMEI Number-[protected]) Email id-www.[protected]@Gmail.com Contact me on -[protected], Thankyou!

          Sir, i bought sony xperia z1 (BLACK) 9 months ago on 28th october 2014. until 2-3 months it was working properly but after some days it started heating up and hanging on operating..camera shuts down popping up as it needs some time to cool down the device..i am not able to work properly with my Xperia device and i asked for service center to replace this product at mall road kanpur center. They didn't do so...as it is under warranty period, i am registering my complain here. i want to replace my device with a new one as far as the terms of the company are concern. Please help me out regarding this issue. i'll be always thankful to you. Name- ajeet kumar device name- Sony Xperia Z1 (Black) IMEI Number- [protected] Problems- 1- Over heating and shutting down while using camera and other applications. 2- camera shuts down temporarily and device hangs due to over heating. 3- Voice quality is degrading day by day...may be some kind of hardware failure. 4- many other hanging and switching off problems. please help me out on this issue.

            I Registered a complaint 0n 27th Jul for my LED TV (Sonay Bravia EX520 4o inch) as ther were some issue with the video card and the video was not coming through. Other features such as audio, video-audio playback through usb port etc were working absolutely fine. The service person from SOny service centre (Fortune-Jamshedpur jaharkhand) came and said that video card needs to be replaced and he took away the video card to repair it. On 28th he came with repaired video card but after replacing it the TV didn't started itself. He didn't had any clue as to why this problem was arising so he insisted that we will need to take the LED tv to service centre. ON 28th JUly 2015 only he took the TV to service centre and from that day till today 3rd august neither I have received any update on the problem in TV nor they service centre people pick up any calls. I have called up their inchrage personally 4-5 times, registered the complaint online on sony 4-5 times but the only thing I get is consolation. Moreover the service centre people were not providing me the job number and they delayed the same and provided on friday. 31 July.THis is absolutely weird on part of big name such as sony. Moreover the behaivor of service centre person was not decent towards the customer, he said that the person responsible is not there in office and he is not supposed to answer to any query raised by me. Sincere suggestion to sony please shut down all your operation if you cant guanrantee a smooth service experience

              This is in regards to Sony Xperia Z2 Phone purchased on 18th May 2014 for Rs. 48, 000.00. I have been using this phone and found to be one of the best phone ever purchased till date. Based on the battery backup, dual band WLAN card, amazing touch and much more I recommended multiple people to go for Sony products and people did buy Sony. I have been experiencing multiple issues on this phone specifically with overheating. I’m well aware of difference between heating and overheating. However, this phone is overheating a lot which caused pixel burnt issue and had to replace the panel. Overheating can be observed while using WLAN for more than 20 minutes. It’s more when recording video. Having a phone with 20 MP camera and cannot records videos for more than 2 minutes defeats the purpose. I have used Cyber shot and Walkman series of Sony phones they were best in market. I understand the technology keeps growing and so do the customer expectations. But phones are also not cheaper when compared to technology. You pay more to get best features. Below are the list of issues I reported when I handed over the phone on 4th April 2015: - Phone Hanging: While opening any application, there is no response and I have to wait for more than 10 seconds for the application to open. If this phone cost me less than 20k I’m more than happy to wait. Either it keeps searching for the access point or keep trying connecting. Tried factory reset, issue persist. - Touch Works Automatically: I assume this is again due to overheating issue as this can be seen when the phone is hot. Tried factory reset, issue persist. Apart from factory reset there is nothing much I can troubleshoot on this phone. Now coming to service. So far this is the first time I visited service center after owning at least 13 Sony products in past 10 years. My issue was heard, noted & acknowledged. I was told the phone would be sent to Delhi for repair and would receive a call from them with details. I was told that phone would be returned on 16th April 2015. Also, I was informed that I can get a standby phone meanwhile. However, there was no call from head office nor standby phone was provided. For the best customer service, I would suggest to make the promise you can keep instead of giving false promise. Hope the above technical details and explanation is sufficient for my voice to reach the high management. I’m just a customer who wants the product to work for what I paid. I cannot expect any excuses which defects the basic functionality of the smart phone.   Again on 11th July 2015 I submitted my phone for repair due to below issue: 1. Handset overheating 2. Touch gets activated automatically 3. Data keeps switching to 2G automatically 4. Network keeps dropping 5. Display flickering I received the handset back on 16th July 2015. When I asked the team on what parts were replaced any why, people did not have any relevant answers. They said back panel and adhesive were replaced. I fail to understand how touchscreen, network issues are related to back panel. When I escalated further and spoke to service center manager, he explained me Main Board was also replaced for the above reported issue. However, I’m still experiencing multiple issues on this handset. As per the Invoice, below parts were replaced: Part # Part Name [protected] D6502/Repaired Exchange PBA/RepExPBA [protected] Adhesive Panel Back [protected] Adhesive Battery Top [protected] Panel Back Black I have been patient and have given multiple opportunities to have this phone repaired. Now I have lost the faith in this product as well as in service. This is not only about me, there are N number o[censored]sers reporting these issues. There is a purpose of investing half a lakh on a high end phone and the handset with so many issue defeats that purpose. I have spent good amount of time without the phone which affects my daily routine. Hope the above details and explanation is sufficient for my voice to reach the high management. I cannot expect any excuses which defects the basic functionality of the smart phone. Hence I request the team to please help me with the refund for this defective handset without testing my patience any further.

                This is my second time complain against the company ...when i had given the first complain i was given assurance by the sony centre that i will be given a new mobile on their request so i backstepped from the complain to cooperate with them ...but now they are not giving me a positive response ..also since i have bought this mobile, either its with the shopkeeper or with the sony centre for recovery due to which my gaurantee period is affected ...so i would like you to ponder over my problem and extend my gaurantee period..

                  The so called waterproof phone failed to after after in water for about 4 seconds. Was fine for about 2 minutes then it began to buzz, the screen blanked out about an hour, and I could do nothing with it. Now it is totally dead. Three where I bought it refused to do anything saying it was water damage - it was sold to me as a waterproof phone ffs! I have now had to contact Sony and send to a repair centre. I am so furious that the phone is sold as being waterproof with videos of people diving into water and taking pictures with it fully submerged. It clearly has design faults on some phones that let the water in. I am now if the horrible situation n my 50k was gone.. Gave it to Sony service center they checked n now asking to pay 28880 to fix the display.. Not happy at all, cheating ppl wit all fake ads

                    I am using Sony Xperia ZL since 2 years 4 months, I was quite happy with the phone’s performance (knowing the battery does not last long with full charge) till I visited the Sony service center on 10th of July 2015. After upgrading it to Lollipop, the charging time increased drastically and one fine day, my phone could not last more than 5-10 mins after full charge. I was sure that the battery needs a replacement. I went to the ISCON ELEGANCE Sony Service Center, Ahmedabad and informed them about the issue. The technician said, he will update the OS which will take not more than 30 mins and see if the issue is resolved (even after I told him that its already upgraded to Lollipop just few days back and as per my knowledge the battery needs to be replaced). You can refer the attached Service Job Sheet. After waiting for the said time when I went to inquire about the status he said, as the phone is shutting down in 5-10 mins, he could not update the OS, so he asked me to leave the phone and collect it the next day morning. I was ok as far as my phone gets fixed. When I called up the next morning to know about the status, the reply was the same “as the phone is shutting down in 5-10 mins, he could not update the OS” and said that this phone cannot be repaired and if I want the same phone, I can go for the SWAP. He gave me 2 options (as per my phone’s purchase date): 1. 30% - I need to submit my phone at the service center against which they will issue me a voucher (which will take not less than 15 days) and then I need to visit Sony shop and pay 30% of the REFURBISHED Sony Xperia ZL (warranty period of 6 months) market price to own it. 2. 50% - I need to submit my phone at the service center against which they will issue me a voucher (which will take not less than 15 days) and then I need to visit Sony shop and pay 50% of the Brand New Sony Xperia ZL (Warranty period as per new phone) market price to own it. I paid Rs. 114 for nothing and collected my phone, said nothing about their incapability to repair or resolve the issue, more so about the so called SWAP scheme, which I feel is a Big Contradiction to the technician’s statement. I ordered the Sony Xperia ZL original battery, went to the local technician and got it replaced on 17th of July 2015 which took not more than 15 minutes. Since then there is no problem as such with my phone. Here are certain points which I fail to understand: 1. If Sony Xperia ZL and ZR are non-repairable, how can you people give the option of paying 30% for the Refurbished Sony Xperia ZL? (Refurbished products may be unused customer returns that are essentially "new" items, or they may be defective products that were returned under warranty, and resold by the manufacturer after repairing the defects and ensuring proper function) 2. If I being a non technical person figure out what the actual problem is, what takes your so called skilled technician to identify the root cause? 3. If a local technician can replace the battery without damaging the phone, why can’t your technicians do it? 4. If a particular phone is non-repairable, why don’t you mention it on the box? I use a lot of Sony appliance like; TV, Music system, Camera etc. but never experienced such pathetic service. I always thought Sony being a global brand will have the best after sales service, but my recent experience proved it otherwise. Thanks for the eye opener, now I know that Sony is just a brand and nothing more than that!

                      Hi, My father has Sony Xepria ZR handset. Yesterday the deivce fell from a small half feet tall table, because of which the speaker broke ( cannot listen to the person on other side of the call). We went to a Sony service center today and they said that this model is not repairable. They also said that we can go for another option in which we have to pay 400 INR and than Sony will give us another handset ( the handset type was not mentioned). So, if we accept the offer and take the other handset than it's fine or else we will lose those 400 INR. I have three questions here - 1. How can a mobile be not repairable ? Every electronic device is repairable. I work in mobile industry and I have been using sony and many other companies handsets both personally and professionally and till date I haven't seen a single device/model which CANNOT be repaired. And sony making such a device is totally unacceptable. 2. From when did Sony started giving such kind of offers? pay NON-REFUNDABLE 400 INR and customer gets a handset (model unknown) and if customer says no to the handset than those 400 INR are gone. Is this really Sony or are those service center guys making fool out of customers? I really need answers for these questions as this scheme seems to be fishy to me. Thank you, Samarth Shroff

                        Sony projector, VPLDX100/C1, bought from authorised retailer, undergone first repair within 100 days and then further 3 repairs in next 150 days and since then lying with the authorised service centre. I could barely use the projector as it had gone bad multiple times and used to be at service centre most of the time. Even after my multiple requests, company is refusing to service it ( warranty mentioned on bill is 2 years) and citing paid replacement of LAMP ( which would cost me more than half of the cost of projector) as a reason which I cannot afford. When they could not get it in order in previous three instances, how do I believe that it would not go bad the next time. Clearly, the product is faulty and instead of accepting it, they are psychologically harassing me ever since I bought the product.

                            Respected sir, I have purchased sony XperiaT3I(MEI Number-[protected]) (model -D5102, Black) from Suryansh communication sanjay place (address-block no-41/2G, sanjay place agra) On 5th june 2015. I faced many problems while using my phone like -heating problem, while my phone is unplugged then also charging sign is shown above with improper and fluctuations of battery usage, in camera -time burst effect backs itself, pattern lock not working, on first time using of Google Chrome and play store message occurs-" unfortunately Google Chrome/play store has stopped working"respectively, Back key is not working while using whatsapp. I went to the shop from where I have purchased (mentionedabove) on 7th June (exactly after 2days of purchase) for complain but in response I got that I have to wait for 15 days unless an update of lollipop version occurs and I wasn't informed that I can replace my phone in 7 days, I have one year insurance... Also I went 5 to 6 times to authorized service centre near subhash park agra(ankur care centre), but they were unable to resolve my problem... I kindly request to intervene my problems by resolve it as soon as possible... Or I have to take a legal action against company..

                              I brought the phone on 22nd July'15 and observed that the phone is getting heating over heated while using it after 3-4 days. so i handed over the phone on 29th July'15 to the service centre in noida wave mall sony service centre and the service centre person accepting that the phone is having the problem but not giving the D.O for the phone just giving the excuse that you are coming on the 8th day and you should have to come on or before 7th day.
                              This is totally illogical explanation i think so.
                              If the hand set is having the problem then the sony should have to come forward and had to accept the fault/ problem and need to support the customer without giving such ill logical explanation.
                              So i request sony to give teh replacement of the phone without giving any such explanation.

                                Dear Sir I am writing this email after facing lots of problem with my sony vaio laptop (SVE 1511a/b) product code: 27547091, product serial no: 7039278, Date of purchase: 02/12/2012 . I had taken an extended warranty on 31/10/2013. Till date I have taken my laptop thrice to the service center for getting it repaired. The problems were laptop keyboard(3 times) and (laptop screen). my extended warranty will get over in december 2015. so i am a bit worried, what will happen after that... Sony company had supplied me a faulty laptop which is troubling me since the day I had purchased. kindly look into this matter ASAP.

                                  my laptop is not working properly so i gave my laptop at the sony authorized service centre, 4, nehru road, near kehchari, meerut, uttar pradesh on 26 june 2015. the complaint job sheet no is J51558013 and model no. SVS13112ENS IN5 serial no. 7000551. my laptop is under warranty. they said to gave my laptop back by repairing in 10 days. i called up them number of times but everytime they gave me excuse. i waited till 21 july 2015 but they didn't respond. on 21 july 2015 i sent a mail to [protected]@ap.sony.com
                                  i got a mail next day with an assurance to do my work. but still they hadn't done. this is just unacceptable.
                                  its about 33 days, i still get my laptop repaired.
                                  my laptop's warranty will be expired in september, are they waiting for the expiry to extract the money. resolve my problem as soon as possible.

Dear Sony Team, I had purchased Sony Vaio laptop on 12/06/2014 from Rajwala Enterprises K-15, Lajpat Nagar-II, New Delhi - 110024. Details of Laptop: Model SVE15133CNW IN5. Serial # 0001349. Invoice # 21775. Since the time i have purchased the above laptop it has been working very slow ( it keeps buffering all the time ) and i have to wait for a considerable time for the system to get going and finally i end up wasting half an hour for a 5 mins job which i do it on another system. I experienced this issue in the first month itself and took it to the Sony authorized center on 11/07/2014 and they formatted my hard disk and gave it back stating that your system is okay now . After couple of months i again started facing same issue and again took my laptop to your Sony service center on 10/06/2015 ( still under warranty period ) and they again formatted my system and gave it back. For few days it worked and again it started buffering all the time for each and every activity so i had to take it back to the service center again on 16/07/2015 (pls note this time it was out of warranty) to get it checked . I did not hear from the service team for 5 days and when i contacted them to get the status of my laptop they informed me that the HARD DISK needs to be replaced and it will cost me Rs 6000/-. I would like to know why have they realized it now ( post warranty period is over ) that the hard disk is giving problem and needs replacement. They were waiting for the warranty to get over so that they can traumatize the customer and extract money from us. Sequence of visit to Sony service center to get the problem resolved. 1st visit on 11/07/2014 2nd visit on 10/06/2015 3rd visit on 16/07/2015 NOTE : My laptop is still in your service center (Club Electronics, E-25, south Extn - II, New Delhi - 110049) It is not at all acceptable form a reputed company like Sony to indulge in such practices. I would like to take this matter to the highest level in Sony India if it cannot be resolved on priority at this level. Thanks and Best Regards Sumit Mehra [protected]
