Our pnr number is kyp66g. We were supposed to fly from madurai to hyderabad yesterday (22nd) at 1640 hrs. When we reached the airport, we were informed that the spicejet flight for 22 april is cancelled whereas the flight-information-display-screen showed that the flight was delayed and would start around 1745 hrs. Even after our continued insistence that the flight is delayed and we can wait, the spicejet check-in team repeatedly said they had information that the flight is cancelled. After trying to shift us to another flight for 22nd (Yesterday) and failing, the check-in team rebooked for 23rd (Today) and promised that we would get a voucher for future travel because it was spicejet's fault.
We checked the flight status today and we find that the spicejet flight from madurai to hyderabad had travelled yesterday (22nd) with a delay. We planned this travel and booked this ticket on 8th feb, 2019 two months in advance. How could they make us (With a kid) lose one whole day of our job and pay, make us unnecessarily stay back, find a place to stay etc.; by lying about the flight status. A pointless voucher wouldn't help us in any way and cannot possibly help us explain our leave of absence in our job.
We have already raised a phone complaint with the customer care associate neha, who informed us now that the flight was overbooked yesterday and hence we were transferred to today's flight. This was completely without our knowledge. Nobody in that entire check-in team even breathed a word about an overbooked flight. We have sent an email and awaiting response from the team.
