I placed an order on Swiggy on March 12 2022, for an order value of ₹1578.
The order was cancelled due to items not being available. I was told I will expect a refund within 7 days. Which I thought was unreasonable because payment back to original method (UPI in my case) should happen instantly. Nevertheless I waited for 7 days and as on today, I have waited for almost 17 days and counting… there is not sign of the refund.
I have lost track of how many times I have reached out to the customer care executives, explained the same thing half a dozen times and got scripted responses like “we apologise” etc. but my issue remains unresolved.
I was even asked to share my bank statement to prove my claim of non receipt (as if I was lying), which ai reluctantly did by sending it to an email provided by Swiggy. Forget a response, I have not recd an acknowledgement of the email I sent including bank statement which is private information.
I am not sure if they would bother to reply even here as I think they have lost all sense of customer service (barring sugarcoated responses).
I have uninstalled the Swiggy app pending closure of this. My sincere suggestion to all readers… be very very cautious dealing with Swiggy. I for one have decided to stop, unless adequately compensated not just for the refund, but also for the harassment and lies I have been subject to.
