I had placed home delivery order through swiggy.com from Bikanerwala. Order number was generated online which was[protected] of amount Rs 981. Order was placed on 4th october 2022 between 8:30 – 8:40 pm. Order was supposed to be delivered at C 103 Ats Greens 1 Kailash Dham Road Sector 50 Noida.
Order was tracked online and delivery time was 41 minutes. Order was delivered on time but on checking the items I found out that the order number was different and contents were also different. Bill which came along with delivery boy was having order number[protected] of amount 610. This order was also placed on 4th october 2022. This order was supposed to be delivered at Gurgaon as per the address mentioned on bill instead it was wrongly delivered at our place at Noida.
I immediately contacted Bikanerwala at Sec 18 Noida from where order was picked up and delivered to me and informed them about the wrong order being delivered to us. They told me to contact customer care of Swiggy and said that they can’t do anything. I returned the wrong order immediately and asked delivery boy to take it back. He took it back and I contacted Swiggy customer care and spoke with Mr. Amanpreet customer care executive. I explained him the issue and he gave me mail id of [protected]@swiggy.in. I wrote a mail immediately attaching image of bill of wrong order delivered to me so that they could understand that my original order number was not delivered by the company.
However, after exchange of many mails with Swiggy since 4th October till today no resolution has happened. The company is denying to help me in this regard. They are asking me to submit images of food contents along with packaging details. I informed them that I had already returned the wrong order with the delivery boy immediately and kept image of bill which I attached in my complaint mail. I have been writing repeatedly that wrong order number was delivered to me whereas my original order was yet to be delivered. This could be make out from the bill I enclosed which could be tallied with my original order. Both the order numbers and total bill amount are different. But still the company is denying to settle the issue.
I have requested the company to either refund the bill amount of my order number which is Rs 981 or else deliver the food contents.
I am raising this issue on this platform since I am seeing that company is not willing to make efforts to resolve the matter. They could check with the delivery agency and also with the restaurant from where order was picked up. However, they seem to be escaping from their duties towards their customer and trying to just close the case without proper investigation.
I request the concerned authorities to direct Swiggy to either refund my bill amount of Rs 981 or deliver the food contents as per my order number[protected]. I will be enclosing image of bill of wrong order delivered to my place and correct order placed online on Swiggy. I displayed genuine customer behaviour by returning the wrong order so that it could be delivered to right place. But now I am being harassed by the company for showing ethical conduct. They are feeling that what can the customer do and trying to suppress basic modalities and ethics of customer service.
