I placed an order from Nathu Sweets in GK. The person who was carrying my order called me and I explained the way to my house. He was already half way through and I though he will reach in 5 minutes. After 5-7 minutes he tried to call me again and unfortunately I could not take the call. Hence, I tried to reach back to him. To do so I opened my swiggy app and tried to look for his number, but the app showed that my order was cancelled and the amount shall be refunded. I called the customer care helpline. The swiggy executive told me that my amount shall be refunded with 4-7 days and I can place an order again if I wish to.
This clearly seems intentional that the delivery executive did not take the efforts of finding my residence or even contacting me again before cancelling my order. This seems very similar to Ola and Uber drivers who do not wish to pick up customers from a certain place. Also, we are unable to use the amount that I had already paid and with no fault of mine, it shall be refunded in 4-7 days. I was actually happy with the services of swiggy before this. It is not a matter of 350 rupees, its a very small amount, but its a matter of how important a customer is for you. I will not recommend swiggy to anyone after this as you never know when they cancel your order without you knowing about it. Was this information helpful? |
