Every time I place an order on instamart the payment has to be done multiple times as the swiggy payment system doesn’t recognise the transaction but the amount gets debited from my end and then I have to wait for 2 weeks to get a refund. Why is this happening?
I placed an order on 3rd of april ( order #[protected] for ₹352, the payment had to be made twice as the swiggy payment system couldn’t detect the 1st transaction even tho it was debited from my a/c, then customer service asked me to wait for 5-7 days and today being the 22nd of april I still have not received my refund.
I contacted them on the 6th day and I was promised within 2 hours I will receive my refund but nothing was done, then I contacted them on the 7th day and again I was asked to wait for 24-48 hours. It’s been 19 days today how many more days should I wait? Other apps provide instant refunds and why is that swiggy is not doing the same even tho it’s an error on their end.
I have reached out to the customer care executives daily since and explained the same situation multiple times and got scripted responses like “we apologise” etc. but my issue remains unresolved.
I was asked to share my bank statements to prove my claim, which I’ve sent to the email id provided by Swiggy. Forget a response, I have not received an acknowledgement of the email I sent including bank statement which is private information.
I am not sure if they would even bother to reply here as I think they have lost all sense of customer service, all they do is sugarcoat their automated responses.
I suggestion all be very very cautious dealing with swiggy. I have decided not to use instamart, unless adequately compensated not just for the refund, but also for the harassment I have been subject to.
I have sent them a screenshot of everything I’ve mentioned here including the fake promises made by their executives daily, but they are least bothered I guess. This is looting. Was this information helpful? |
