I ordered food from Swiggy on May 8, it was some fries, burgers and chicken nuggets. Buns of the burgers were completely soggy and the patty was cold and smelly and not properly heated. Not even able to chew it properly. Fries were cold. The chicken used in chicken nuggets literally smelled like it had been left out for days and were very old. My mother started vomiting after eating one piece of nugget just because she wanted to try it. I had to throw the whole food away because I was worried about getting food poisoning. I wrote the complaint to Swiggy customer care and I received a call from Swiggy Executive who got McDonald's Executive on call, after 10 minutes of conversation McDonald's executive said he can provide me a replacement or if I want a refund, I have to ask the Swiggy for it because it's a 3rd party things and Swiggy will initiate refund. On the conference call with McDonald's executive, Swiggy executive said she will tell her accounts team to initiate refund at the earliest. I had a feeling that they might refuse it later on so I asked her specifically on call because I know it must have been recorded, I told her if they are going to refuse the refund later on I'd rather take replacement right now but she assured me not to worry and her team will initiate the refund at the earliest. Then few days passed and I mailed them asking them my refund status and so they refused to make refund and honor their word. Now it's been almost one month and I am losing my patience. Their executive reply every Friday that they won't refund even though I have shared with them the screenshot of the call. I could have gotten the replacement instead of refund but THEIR executive said they will SURELY initiate refund at the earliest. This is not ₹100-₹200 order it was an order of almost ₹1000. It's my hard earned money. It makes me furious that Swiggy is refusing to honor their word. I have asked them to call me several times but still they keep copy pasting the same stuff. I want my refund at the earliest.
