I have a Swiggy Account that I haven't used in a few years because I was not living in India during that time. Now when I want to use, it asks to enter phone number to activate the account. I don't have access to the phone number, as I changed my phone number during this period.
I explained this situation to them, and requested them multiple times to deactivate my account, but everytime I send them an email, they keep saying they need access to my phone number. I told them everytime that I no longer have the number, so please try a different verification, but they keep denying.
Everytime I reply to their support email, some other customer service agent replies and they will always come up with the standard response, "we are sorry to hear you wish to deactivate, we tried calling you on your phone number, but you were not available, please let us know when we can call you.". They keep ignoring the fact that I no longer have access to the phone number.
It has been a very frustrating experience, and I have never had a worse experience with any company. I do not want my account lying around that I can not use. Therefore I am filing a consumer complaint to urge them to take action and to delete my Swiggy account. Was this information helpful? |
