27th March 2022: I raised a services request for pickup & delivery through Swiggy/Genie application at about 3'40pm AFTER paying my store 520/- for 2kgs raw chicken & paying for the delivery services in advance through Paytm.
Swiggy/Genie delivery guy Shiv Pal [protected] accepted the pickup around 3'45pm & took roughly 10mins to reach the pickup point & picked up my already paid stuff & cancelled the order from his app THEREBY switching for next delivery partner Mr Prashant Singh [protected] who reached for the pickup by 4'15pm.
Mr Prashant Singh calls me from the store informing me that the pickup has already happened.
After analyzing what had happened I realized Swiggy/Genie delivery guy Shiv Pal had stolen the chicken hoping to put the blame on everybody but him.
The store owner suggested to me that I can visit his store & look at the camera feed for that time which will confirm that Shiv Pal had taken the order form his store.
Since I live in a gated society, it's impossible for any delivery guy to enter without consent from the delivery point owner (Me in this case), & I haven't received any order till 5'45pm HENCE my conclusion of my good being stolen in broad day light by Swiggy/Genie guys.
After reaching out to Swiggy complaint center & raising my concern multiple times, it has brought clarity to my that Swiggy/Genie call center reps are equally involved & play there part in swindling money from consumers like myself.
I wonder if Swiggy top mgmt are aware of this practice & if they are then the only reason why they havn't done anything about it is because they probable make a healthy cut out of episodes like these.
