I placed an order (Order #[protected] with Swiggy Instamart on 10th March 2022 at 8.23am. The order was worth 2193. I paid extra for delivery because I wanted the order sooner. I waited for the delivery executive but he was moving in the opposite direction. I contacted the chat support as the executive wasn't responding. They assured me the order will reach in 20mins. I patiently waited. 1 hour later the rider changed. The newly assigned executive was at the store. I tried calling him but he did not respond. I again got in touch with the Chat support sharing my concern as my order was delayed. They again assured me the order will reach soon. I tried calling the rider again but no response.
After 10mins, I received a notification that your order was cancelled due to an operational issue. After that I received a text message that your order was cancelled and no refund will be given.
I reached out to the store support asking them about the reason for not getting the refund when it was an operational issue. The store support representative responded and informed me that the order was cancelled because the rider reached the location and tried calling me multiple times which was not the case. The order was placed on 10th but the team was unable to find any order but can see a cancellation on 9th. I even informed them I have a CCTV to see who comes and who doesn't and a security guy who will inform if someone's at the door. Clearly the team doesn't want to look at the facts but repeat scripted answers.
I spent Rs 2193 on groceries, waited patiently, didn't get the order, my money not refunded and on top of that getting reasons like the rider was outside my house but I didn't take calls and that too after waiting for around 2 hours.
Request you to please refund the money.
