We purchased Whirlpool IntelliFresh Pro refrigerator, Serial No. INE[protected] on 10-Nov-2020 from Vasanth&Co, Vinayagapuram, Chennai-99, Tamilnadu State.
The demo person from whirlpool had set up the default temperature to "5" during installation. Just in one week we started noticing that the cooling wasn't adequate in the refrigerator. With the help of Whirlpool refrigerator manual, we tried adjusting the temperatures to 4, 3 and finally 2, wherein the cooling seemed to be better.
Meanwhile due to an emergency situation we had to travel out of state in January 2021 and returned home only after 2nd week of February 2021. To our dismay we noticed that there wasn't adequate cooling in the refrigerator. By this time the food placed inside the refrigerator started getting spoiled. I had called up the toll-free number on 21-Feb-2021 and raised a service request mentioning the problem, but they didn't give us any service request number.
My father, a senior citizen of 70+ yrs of age had to approach the Vinayagapuram branch and raised a service request with Whirlpool through them on 22-Feb-2021. We were lucky enough to get a Service Request number this time.
One whirlpool service person visited our house while my parents were at home and I was at work, and set the fridge on "quick chill" mode. When I reached home and noticed this, I called him only to find out that the service guy didn't even know which mode was freezer setting and which mode was refrigerator setting. He finally gave up and accepted that only the demo person knows how to set the temperature and that he will contact us the next day along with the demo person which never happened.
My father, again approached your Vinayagapuram branch. Again they assured us of service and one of Whirlpool service personnel had called us and asked us to set the temperature again on "quick chill" mode. We lost our patience on hearing this, post which we were finally connected to a some person who knew his work quite well. By now crystal formation started in the freezer. The service personnel visited our house on 25-Feb-21 and had assured to submit his findings to Whirlpool. We had insisted that the fridge has to be replaced. When followed up for the status on 25-Feb-21 with Whirlpool person, we were informed that the TAT for the entire process take another 15 days. We received a similar reply from your Vinayagapuram branch as well, and they added that they will not be able to assist us beyond this and we will have to follow up with Whirlpool only.
This kind of a faulty product delivered to us is completely not expected and acceptable from a renowned dealer as Vasanth & Co. We completely lost trust in Whirlpool because of their poor service response. When requested to return whirlpool and purchase another company refrigerator, your Vinayagapuram branch staff is claiming that it is not possible.
We do not want to purchase any other model in Whirlpool refrigerator. Please assist us in returning whirlpool refrigerator and purchase another brand refrigerator.
