I brought a brand new Taigun from a dealership in Gurgaon couple of months back. The overall experience with the dealership has been very poor including after sales support and service support. Below are few examples -
1. VW Connect was activated couple of weeks after the car was delivered (30th Nov) and stopped working 6 weeks later (24th Jan). Despite multiple follow-ups, the issue has not been resolved and keep getting one excuse after another. This is a so-called safety feature (geofencing, driving quality, etc.) that VW claims but does not care about it being properly functional. Email to VW customer care regarding issue #1 remains unanswered even after 6 days. Dealership keeps kicking the can down the road.
2. The car has issues with its DSG. It switches from D2 to D1 often at low speeds during bumps with a jerk and sometime even a noise. Raised this with VW service center but no resolution. The whole process of booking, pick-up and delivery of the car with the service center itself was quite challenging and poorly managed.
3. VW dealership is selling ceramic coating from a third party. The communication from VW sales team, OEM and service center on maintenance of the coating is different. There seems to be a complete breakdown of internal communications amongst various stakeholders leaving the car and customer vulnerable.
I owned a Ford for 4.5 years prior to this and the service experience was always excellent. Certainly VW has a lot of improve here.
Still awaiting resolution from VW and have communicated with them on email, WhatsApp, and phone.
