I have a Polo petrol 1.2 MPI Highline purchased in July 2014 . I served me very well for these many years because of regular service. Total running 50000 kms. in 8 years)
Before 10 days, as there was a noise and because the clutch became heavy to operate, I sent it for repairs to Above mentioned company in my city ( for years this car's service is done by Automark only. A list of problems was sent to company on 23rd Feb.
I was told by service engineer Mr. Rikit Prajapati that clutch is OK but there are other issues that needs to be addressed. He said that the problems is due to bearings. I paid 29668/- to the company on 23rd Feb. Repair order number SOO2305339. To my surprise, the whole repair was finished in 4 hours
Within 2 days of return, the car started making funny noises when clutch was pressed. I was out of Ahmedabad for my cycling trip to Srilanka so could not drive the car & examine problem. My wife put aside the car but she informed Mr. Prajapati for the same after 3-4 days of car return
My car was taken to same service center yesterday ( March 6, 2024) & I was told that there is a problem with Gear box, clutch, Flywheel etc. The estimated repair expense is 23722/- . i was categorically told that
I am not able to understand
1/ why sudden development of such a problem when car was repaired by an authorized service center? why this was not diagnosed when the car was sent for repairs?
2/ The parts those were changed ( brake pads, bearings etc.) Was done as per suggestion of service engineer- we never faced any braking issue or other noises while driving even on speed breakers ( plenty in Ahmedabad)
For me this amounts to cheating. Repair of 55000/- within a span of 10 days without accident is too much to bear for me. There is lacunae on the part of Automark motors in service to a loyal customer. I demand explanation by company and compensation for my previous works
