Hello
I'm manu. I purchased vw polo, petrol (Highline), reg no: ka03mz7006, chase no: mexk1660xht077542, engine no: cjl128950 in the month of jan. 2017 from apple auto, whitefield, bangalore. On 19 may 2017 the car was noticed with a starting problem in kottayam, kerala. The vehicle was handed over to evm volkswagen, kottayam for repair.
I was further informed that the clutch plate in my vehicle has completely burnt which has resulted in starting trouble. My vehicle as on date has run only 2195 kms. The technical team of volkswagen has reported that the defect has occurred due to bad driving practise and my vehicle is not eligible for repair under warranty norms.
I have been used to driving vehicles for the past 10 years and has not come across such a problem. I would also like to emphasis on the fact that for commuting through cities like bangalore where traffic is hectic you need to use frequent application of clutch. Since the failure has happened within 4 months of vehicle purchase and 2195 kms o[censored]sage the explanation given by vw looks futile in every sense. A brand like vw and its products are expected to meet customer requirements which has clearly not happened in this case. This is an absolute disgrace to the customer. Hence i'm pretty sure that vw has compromised on the quality of parts fitted on my vehicle in the first place. Now as a customer i feel cheated with the kind of product delivered to me.
In view of the premature failure of the clutch on my polo i request vw to consider a warranty repair for my vehicle. I also request them to look into the failure of this part in detail so that these problems won't recurre for future customers so that they can be refrained from humiliation like i have faced for the past few days.
Regards
Manu
