1st week of February 2020: Travel ticket booked via goibibo, PNR: H3JJP. E-Ticket number:[protected]. Passenger Name: Nitin Kumar Shrivastava. Travelling from Chennai to Hyderabad, Travel date: 10th April 2020.
10th April 2020: Passenger couldn’t board the flight because of the imposed nationwide lockdown.
23rd December 2020: Called the airline to use the unused ticket because we were told that we can reschedule the ticket free of cost, we just had to pay the fare difference. Air India customer service agent, Sanjana Singh created a payment link and shared to my email id and we booked a flight for the 25th Dec 2020.
I made the Payment online on the Air India Website and paid 2774.
Once the payment was confirmed, I received the PNR.Y0RDK
But when the traveller reached the airport, he was told that the PNR: Y0RDK in invalid since the payment has not been received by AIR INDIA. So the traveller had to book a new ticket and board the flight.

I called the AIR INDIA customer service team and they told me that sometimes technical glitches happen and hence the amount will be refunded in 9-21 working days and they told me they created a case. However, on the 13th of Jan when I made a follow up call to ask the money was not refunded, they replied, “there is no case registered for this” and hence they created a case for this.

20th March 2021: An agent called Poorvika Singh told me that there was a mistake, The reason why the amount 2774 was not refunded is that nobody was able to see the booking amount 2774 in the booking ID: BI-124453 and she will now created a refund request for the same.
23rd March 2021: The ticket was cancelled via goibibo and I received the ticket amount but still not the fare difference 2774.
Since 13th Jan I have called more than 40 times and mail at [protected]@airindia.com several times.

The AirIndia customer service has done nothing but harass me.
My questions to AIR INDIA.
1.) On 23rd of December when the PNR was cancelled even after the payment, why didn’t they contact us to tell us that the PNR was cancelled? The traveller had to travel 60 KMS to reach the Chennai Airport. Absolutely no concern for the customers.
2.) Even though mentioning clearly that I am not contacting about the refund of the ticket, I am contacting about the fare difference of 2774 which I paid why did the AIR INDIA team find so difficult to answer it and kept responding that the ticket is booked via travel agent, hence please contact them. Why should I contact my travel agent when I made the payment online on Air India Website? Was it that difficult to understand?
3.) Why does AIR INDIA need more than 200 days to refund an amount which is stuck due to a technical glitch?

4.) Why are the customer service people responding like bots, without understanding the problem?

5.) When I was promised that someone from the so called escalation team will contact me, why didn’t no one called back.

6.) Why did the customer service team misbehave with me?

      My flight was cancelled three days ago by Air India itself. The email had no information whatsoever about refund or rescheduling. I called customer care more than 7 times, each time I had to be on hold for long periods of time upto almost an hour a few times. Finally even someone did answer my call, the agent would just disconnect the line when I asked about my refund status!! This happened 4 times. My emails were not answered either even though I was asked by the agent to send them an email with my refund request. Didn’t imagine AI would be this unprofessional and incompetent. Never taking an air India flight ever again. Lesson learned.

        I am BHANU.
        I purchased 3 tickets from HYD to IAD on Aug-2-2021 from Airline website, Payment went through and I got successful payment message but I didn't get confirmation on AirIndia website after redirecting me back to AirIndia site from payment site. I haven't received email too.. Please help. I am stuck, I really to book the tickets ASAP. Money deducted from my account : 1lac, 37thousand. Customer care says ticket got auto-cancelled because of some website issue. They asked me email customercare and ecommerce team.

        I called and emailed Customer care many times, no response yet. PLease help.

        Hi Sandeep, Send an email to ecommerce emailID and to airIndia support emailId and keep waiting. After that call them and ask for supervisor's desk, and make a compliant and take that case number. Make sure you call them once a day with that casenumber. I know those contact numbers dont work or dont answer or long waiting time, it is frustrating. You will receive money within 10 days. I got money back in 10days. I know airIndia is not good at customer service but I had no choice to travel to USA otherthan AirIndia. I would not prefer this airlines, if I have other options.

        I'm Sampath form Madurai, Tamil Nadu... Actually Iam a defence person...I booked ticket from madurai to portblair I got successful payment message but I didn't get confirmation on AirIndia website after redirecting me back to AirIndia site from payment site. I haven't received email too..pls help me...I also call me to this number[protected]Abinash roy) in the time of 21:50 but very very bad response I ever heard ... I'm having lot of respects towards Air India but this man (abinash roy)... towards that refund 😢

          Air India one way tickets from Delhi to Bangalore were cancelled by me on[protected]
          The ticket No. are
          1.[protected] and 2)……….50. These tickets were booked with a link provided by Airindia call center and payment was made through internet banking.
          More than a dozen times reminded the call center, could able to get only an eye wash reply.
          So far the refund is not received. The last ticket number 10687761 from your escalation wing was communicating a promise to refund the money by[protected]. The refund is still awaited.
          I have paid Rs 11218/- for the above one way tickets
          Please arrange my refund at the earliest.

              I've booked the ticket on June'2021 for my dad, later on Air India cancel the ticked from their side, From Last 3 months, I've not received my refund amount from Air india, After 20 follow-ups calls, email sent to E-commerce team 3 to 4 times, Updated Feedback in Air India websites but still no response from Air India.
              They don’t respond to return money cancellation of my ticket due to Covid no one answers after sending mails when I call them they keep on putting me on hold for more than an hours.

              I want my money back to book new ticket asap.

                    I had Booked a ticket on Air India on 27 July 2021 (Confirmation attached) for Delhi to Hyderabad (31 July 2021, 9:55 am).
                    Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to reschedule my booking date to 7 Aug 2021.
                    Intimated by the website to call the customer care for rescheduling (all airlines have this feature in their website itself). (1 Free reschedule is possible 12 hrs before the departure ).
                    I called customer care well in advance for the same only to be mentally harassed and put on hold. Due to the incompetence and unsatisfactory attitude, I was put on hold for more than 5 hours causing my free reschedule option to become invalid.
                    In addition to this, there was no way for me to reschedule my flight as I kept getting transferred and hung up by the substandard and poor behaviour of the staff.
                    This resulted in the cancellation of the ticket to save whatever amount I could.

                    Mental harassment and torture for a day in addition to monetary loss of 10000 due to incompetence by airline staff.
                    I still have not received my cancellation refund (more than 24 hrs have passed).

                    Have also put up multiple emails but no response by Air India staff.

                    *All tickets and cancellation documents are attached with call screenshots (can not upload call recordings as file format not supported).

                      I booked a two way flight from US to India.
                      When I was in India the return flight got cancelled due to covid.
                      When the flight was cancelled I reached customer case twice for refund but didn't get any refund its been 3 months now.

                        I canceled my flight to India on April 26th 2021, but haven't received a refund yet.

                        The flight was scheduled to depart on May 6th, 2021 from Newark to Bangalore with a layover in New Delhi.

                        The flight was booked via BudgetAir, and I have attached the ticket details below. Airline reference: 2UQ8WK

                        PS: The ticket conditions specify that I should get a refund of the amount which I paid minus a 165$ cancellation fee.

                          My flight was cancelled due to bad weather. PNR - HLKD2. E-ticket no.[protected].
                          I reached out to booking agency from where I booked my flight but they said Air India rejected my refund request and marked me as no show.

                          I have a proof and refund note from airlines itself stating that they will refund my full amount.

                          I don't know what to do in this case.
                          Now I'm done and don't want to waste my time anymore with their pathetic customer service.

                            We booked business class, for me and my wife from Bangalore to Sanfrancisco. Due to pandemic flights have been rescheduling.This should be free of additional cost but air India charged, for their rescheduling from 5 August to 12 August. PNR Y10B9. Must refund to Travel agent as DGCA has given guide lines not to collect Rescheduling charges. Air India is the worst in customer care

                              I am waiting for refund of ₹ 6164 to be received in my account for the cancelled flight by airindia due to covid.

                              I booked a flight on 18th Mar 2020 and The ref number of transaction is[protected]

                              My travel date was 22nd March 2020 (Goa - Mumbai) and the flight was cancelled from Air India only.

                              I have sent almost 20 plus mails for follow up but they keep saying they have refunded the amount but i have not recieved amount in my bank account.

                              The last reply i got from airindia is to check with my bank:
                              "With reference to your below mail, we want to inform you that as we checked your ticket PNR:Z942L status it's showing refunded on 08th September 2020 with refund reference number [protected]D7. So kindly get in touch with your bank."

                              When i contacted my bank HDFC ( they said they have raised request with airindia to give details). its been 2-3 months since HDFC is waiting for reply.

                              Its been almost 1 year 4 months now since the flight was cancelled.

                              I recieved refund on same day when airindia announced its taken over by Tata. Hope the service will be better now. It took 2 years to process the refund by Airindia.

                                Two days back i booked a ticket from air India website, due to certain issues i had to immideatly reschedule the date and post pone it for one day. There was no such service on the website nor was the cancellation option working. I called up customer care several times and every time they would take my details and put me on hold for 1 hour or even more. I have been trying to contact them on Twitter, however no response whatsoever. These are ways of cheating the consumer and causing acute distress.

                                Just see the images and check the amount of time am spending on hold with this company. Such distress is being caused to me. This is nothing less than mental harassment.

                                  Air India allowed one extra luggage for international students.So many times asked to Air India customer centre, all staff told no extra charge in whole journey. Journey Ticket references no Z504P. Date of journey was 05.07.21 from Mumbai to RDU. Mumbai to EWR by AirIndia flight .From EWR to RDU by Jetblue. But Jetblue charged $150 for that extra luggage which was given wrong information by AirIndia.So, that I demand that amount.

                                    Dears,

                                    I clearly mentioned in call and told in mail and replied asking about how much you will refund for the ticket. No information/Reply to my mail but when i called back your team says a refund of 700 Rupees is done which is NOK.

                                    WHy would i cancel the Ticket and lose 3500 Rupees. I never recived terms and all for this ticket after making it open. Please check all your call logs this is not ok. Please tell me next steps. I am not in india also to do regular followup. I already called 5 to 6 times spending 1 hour just waiting and no response at all.
