[Resolved]  ALEgION Insurance Broking Ltd — Mobile theft insurance

Sir,

I had purchased a Cell phone in Oct 2009 from Universal. When I purchased, they told me about the mobile damage/theft insurance , I paid additional 450+ as the premium of the New phone.

Unfortunatelly, I lost the phone in bus stand. I tried to trace it but could not find it. I filed a compliant with Police and latter went to Univercel for claiming the Insurance.
I filled in a Form and attach all the docs like purchase recipt, police compliant copy, Non tracable copy etc... in ORIGINAL and send it to ALEgION Insurance Broking Ltd in Chennai. So, I had no choice than to send it to them through a corrier. After attaching all the documents I got back the mail from the Insurance comp twice asking for more info insufficiany of documents. They had given some phone numbers to contant which rings for ever and no one answers. however, I do get a engage/busy message at some time for these numbers but they never pick up my calls.....

This ALEgION Insurance Broking Ltd is just making money form the customers but not responding nor issuing the insurance.

Please kindly let me know what needs to be done.

I think these UNIVERSAL MOBILES and ALEGIEON INSURANCE COMPANY is collecting money from the people..Recently i lost my mobile in a crowded bus.Some body theft that mobile.As usually i lodge a complaint in police station and submit the original documents to them (ALEGIEON)..Based on your replies i don't have any hopes, that i will get my mobile..But has per my idea, if these 2 companies are collecting money like this from every mobile purchaser, just think that for Example:- 450Rs x 500 (mobiles) = 2, 25, 000/-rs per every day through out their outlets, it will be 2, 25, 000 .It means at least 300 days if they collect like this out of 1 year..Just think it will be 6, 75, 00000 (six crores seventy five lakhs)..Manipulating people in india is very easy like this..We like people don't complaint for 450 rs or mobile value..We know very well that thefted or loss mobile will not get back through this insurance people..If any body received the insurance, please POST your conversation here, it will be a relief to every body, who lost their mobile...ALEGEION phone numbers are not working.This is the service they are giving to every body..For this only 1 solution i think better to form a group of people who lost their mobile with insurance and purchased in UNIVERSAL MOBILES In every city and LODGE a complaint against this UNIVERSAL MOBILES & ALEGIEON INSURANCE COMPANY..If we are not receiving our claim with in a period of time..Better to form a group in every city and we can lodge a complaint against this people in every city..Come on wake-up we can stop this type manipulating people companies in INDIA..This is my 3rd mobile losing in last year at 2010.Send your review to form a group at [protected]@gmail.com..
Please understand that ALEgION is only a Broking Company and not an Insurance Company. We are only a facilitator to the Insurer, Insured and Insured's Customer. The Premium collected is deposited only with the Government Insurance Companies. Hence making money out of Premium as alleged by you is impossible. Please do not post accusations anonymously. If you have any genuine grievance you may send it to the Insurer for solution.

This is N.Naveen kumar who has lost my mobile model no. 5233, theft by somebody. Thge same was fcomplained at Local police station and they have given a certificate which as produced. The police had traced our my mobile, but they did not trace it.

Then we approached Univereel mobiles, Kurnool, A.P., where I had purchased Nokia mobile. According their instructions, I submited theft Insuance plicy to claim the amount through Oriental Insurance Company Ltd., Chennai. The documents had been sent by me on 19th Jan.11 through DTDC courier, KUrnool and same was enquired that they had deliverd the documents to your office on 24.1.11.

Hence, I request your goodselves to kindly do the needful in arranging the payment towards cost of the mobile.

I submit that i have purchased a nokia Mobile Phone model No. 5130 Xpress music from Universal Mobile Center Ameerpet Hyd on[protected].Unfortunately, the Cell phone was theft from the Desk of the class room, M.J.College of Engineering, Panjagutta Hyd . When i contacted them they However, I do get engage/busy message at some time for my follow ups. They never pick up my calls...

I also faced the same problem.I bought a SAMSUNG Chat mobile on 01.01.2011 and lost on 19.01.2011 while on travelling by Bus(Pickpocketed).I submit documents for claim. ALEgION...rejected the request pointing the lack of complaint's(Submitted at the Police Station) copy.Again I send the application with the asked copy and its English translation.I received an SMS from ALEgION that they received the applicattion and transferred to The Oriental Insurance company for the next steps.After one month received a letter from Oriental Co. stating ;they can't entertain the claim because they alleging ;that incident was "Missing / Miplaced " and excluded from the Insurance coverage.Behind the claim form (ALEgION) noted that the value of mobile is exceeding Rs.15, 000/- FIR is compulsory. My mobile's price was below Rs.5000/-.So there was no FIR taken but complaint's acknowledgement, Not traceable certificate issued from the PoliceStationwas attached.Now I think the thief is better than these corporates.He may have his own reasons of survival.Such Corporates may define the "Theft" also be the result of the lack of attentin.." Looting of Fifty rupees may be a silly matter; But if it is from the Thousands of clients?????????????/

THEY BOTH HAVE SOME ADJUSTMENTS - THE UNIVERCELL PROMOTES THE ALEgION Insurance Broking Limited FOR CELL THEFT - THE UNIVERCELL KNOWS THAT ALEgION Insurance Broking Limited IS NOT A GENUINE COMPANY AND CONSUMERS ARE CHEATED. THE CONSUMER COURT SHOULD BAN THE UNIVERCELL AND THE ALEgION Insurance Broking Limited.

THEY EVERYDAY COLLECT SO MUCH OF MONEY IN THE NAME OF MOBILE THEFT INSURANCE AND LATER THE CONSUMER IS NOT GETTING HIS INSURANCE CLAIMS WHEN HE LOOSES THE CELL PHONE.

i purchased a new cell phone of Samsung make and monte model on feb 7th 2011, unfortunately I lost the new cell phone on 14th of Feb 2011, the cell was just one week old and I have not even browsed through the features. The phone was purchased in jayanagar univercell shop, the sales executive told me to immediately send claims to insurance company, per his advice I followed all the terms and send the documents to insurance company ( Alegion Insurance Broking Limited), I have not got the insurance reward till date.


What nonsense you people collect our money by presenting all color color dialogues during purchase and it is we customer getting royally cheated because of the stupid insurance company you support.

Please note that we are only an Insurance Broker and not an Insurance Company. The sole authority for settlement of claims is the respective Insurer only. We are not authorised to process / scrutinize any Insurance Claim. We only facilitates in transmission of claim papers from the Insured Mobile Buyer from Univercell to the Insurance Company. We reconvey all communications from the Insurance Company to the Insured, if the insurer communicates through us. In many of the cases, the communication is directly from the Insurer to the Insured. This is a well known fact and there is no possibility of our cheating any Insured at any point of time. We sincerely hope that we have clarified the issue. For further clarification and clarity to know the difference between the Insurer, Insured and Intermediary (Broker/Agent), the IRDA sites www.irda.gov.in and www.irda.org may be visited and referred for an in-depth knowledge. Kindly read the Policy conditions mentioned at the backside of the claim form.

Request you to please handover my phone to above address if found. Please provide an acknowledgement in the receipt of this complaint to get a Duplicate Sim. "

Kindly note that your mobile claim request has been repudiated by the Insurer and the same was informed by our executive on 18th Mar 2001 when we have been contacted by you. Please don’t make these types of comments on the Public sites which create discomfort. Even if you have discrepancy, kindly represent the same to the Insurance Company.

Nothing is going to happen. They are cheaters. everywhere the Alegion agent has mentioned that they are agents. He didn't mentioned why he is broking an insurance company who is not settling any claims. Either both the agnts and Insurance company are minting money and taking the common man to a ride. Why not agent follow it and try to settle the claimms in 45 days as they have mentioned. Why giving insurance big claims are made but not kept while settling it.

We received your mobile Insurance claims documents on 30th Sep 2011 and found that the documents submitted by you are not sufficient to process the claim further. Hence, we had sent back the entire set of claims documents on 8th Oct 2011 to your address mentioned in the claim form through Professional Courier to fulfill the requirements which in turn as returned to our office as UNDELIVERED. On 22nd Nov 2011, we once again sent the entire set of documents to your address through RPAD.

Kindly fulfill the requirement to process the claim with the Insurer.

HI i lost my mobile while travelling in a bus chennai on OCT 10th. Then i filled the case and tried all the doc and sent to the Aligion COmpany address.red hills.They responded and got the amt of 70 % fro mthem in 20 days. BUt the thing is i could not able to get a Certificate stating "MOBILE THEFT"..But instaed "MOBILE LOSt"...Please NOTE that u will not get ur amt back i[censored]r FIR or CSR certificate containing "MOBILE MISSING" or "MOBILE LOST" terms..
IT SHOULD only be "MOBILE THEFT".
U can get this certificate in any city centered station.. like adyar, Anna nagar or T nagar.. No issues wer u got the mobile.. U can jsut frame a case like as u wish and get it from any station i mentioned.
