i have lost my mobile on 10.8.2013. SAMSUNG GALAXY S III and i have already lodged a complaint in the police station.

I lost my cell phone Samsung Galazy Grand in Bangalore during transit by over crowded bus. I lodge the FIR in station and submitted the FIR, invoice letter and acknowledgment sheet for duplicate sim card purchase. A female named Tulsi called me to inform that the documents have reached Insurance firm but ever since I'm unable to track the progress of my mobile insurance.
After hearing so many reviews, calling her number so many times.. I have lost patience towards your company. I bought this phone through Universal and none wants to help on this.
Please let me know if I have to lodge a consumer court complaint or will this issue be resolved with normal regulations.

From past 6 months i am struggling to get my insurance company. I have submitted all the documents including Non traceable certificate. But now you are saying that delay in NTC(non traceable document) for 4 months. There are some points which i would like to make here.
1) You are saying non traceable document is delayed. Does it mean "police is not going to search for the mobile. And give you immediately the NTC". If we have put the mobile in surveillance then obviously its the duty of police and surveillance incharge to atleast trace the mobile and then finally if everything is failed then we get the NTC.
2) No where its is mentioned that NTC has to be submitted within the stipulated period of time
3) Point num 3 is very frustrating: I called the number 1)[protected] [sometimes they respond sometimes they don't/switch off/ busy].
-->They put us on hold and finally cut the call.
-->Call us tomorrow as the specified person is absent for today
-->Call us at 3 PM. On 1st Nov at 3Pm they told me to call. At that time[1/11/2013 15:00] number was switched off. Excellent right. Just tell the customer to call at 3 pm, then switch off the mobile.
then they gave me one more number :[protected] [the call always gets forwarded]
then the other number : [protected][busy always]
Now one more number :[protected]
Suppose if you have bought Vodafone/Airtel sim. If you have some problem. And whenever you call customer care wont respond properly. Do you think that next time you are going to buy that sim or suggest your friends to go for that sim. Answer is obviously not.

i filed a complaint in the police station...but they refused to give me an FIR as they told they usually don't give FIR for such silly cases...
but they gave me the acknowledgment letter of my complaint to me...even when i asked the Univercell Showroom, they told me only the acknowledgment reciept is required...
so i recently sent my claim documents without an FIR...will that be a problem for my insurance claim process.??

I sent the reports, after 25 days I called the insurance company and
they are telling they have requested few more documents :- FIR under
section 378 and non traceable certificate.
I went to police station and they told me there is no section 378 instead its 379 for theft and steal.Moreover the nontracable certificate is made after 3 months.Does
it mean i have to wait for so long.This is really harassing the
customers and making them wait so long. Now I am relocating to other
place. What should i do.
