sir, i have applied for a passport long back at lucknow.its number is z883111.

after a long wait of 7 months, it was updated on net that it was dispatched on aug 2 2008with post no A981143.IT HAS TO BE SENT TO BANARES.

till date it has not been reached.
i was really tired of contacting post office ppl at banares.
i really dont know what to do.please help me out.

BEWARE OF SENDING CHECKS THROUGH INDIAN POSTAL SERVICE.

A month back we mailed three blank signed checks that was urgently needed back in Mumbai. The packet was sent via Regd Post to be delivered in Mumbai. For 3 weeks we waited for the delivery and nothing happened. One fine day when I checked tht bank statement online it shows as two checks being encashed by an unknown person. We immediately notified the bank and put a stop payment on the third check. We would like to caution all NRIs that apparantly the main incoming International Postal Office in Mumbai is full of crooks. Thses crooks open each mail to see whether they can steal anything worthwhile and reseal the packages that are useless to them. Possibly the upper management will also be involved in this shady business. SHAME TO INDIAN POSTAL SERVICES. They are a useless and corrupted organization with good for nothing people. IT'S BIG TIME THIS ORGANISATION SHOULD BE DISMANTLED AND HANDED OVER TO PRIVATE SECTOR.

I applied for my son's passport on 03/04/09 in Mumbai. The update is showing passport despatched on 18/05/09 from Passport office in Worli. We stay in Andheri (E). I believe the passport should have been delivered by now. The passport making is already delayed and the delay in delivery is making it even worse.

The bad part is there is no online tracking of registered post. If the postman misses you then there is no way you can find it.

An important cover matters relating to RTI was sent through registered post, acknowledgement due vide no. When I started the account I was informed that it could be prematurely closed after one year. The passport site for Pune is displaying the following status regarding the delivery of my passport:

However, I still haven't recvd it. I have following questions regarding the registered postal service:
1. what is the standard delivery time for a registered post within the same city?
2. if there is nobody available at the address during the delivery time, how is the addressee informed?
3. will a second delivery attempt be made or can the passport be collected from the post office?
4. how can the registered post be tracked?

I really need help in this matter as I'll be travelling over the next 4 days and there will be nobody at my address to collect the passport.

I sent medicines by Registered Parcel to my son in Australia from GPO, Vadodara vide Receipt No. CP[protected] IN on 28th Oct. 2009 alongwith doctor's prescription and certificate but as on today he did not receive. I always used to send medicines through postal authority every time as my son requires medicines for whole life as per doctor's advise. I have been informed by the postal authority that the parcel will reach within 6-7 days but, I regret, he has still not received and this is my third incidence. The medicines are very essential for him. Is this the service of India Post that evenafter lapse of 20 days receiver has not got the medicines?

Please investigate and let me know whether he would get the medicines and when?

My name is Kalpesh Bhadra, i am staying in Thane (Maharashtra State). I had applied for Graduate Trainee Test-2010, organised by ONGC. The test held on 20th June, 2010, all over the India.

I had applied for this test, but i could not appear for the test because Posatal department made delivery of my Hall Ticket on 24th June, 2010. The dealy in Delivery of Hall Ticket was the reason for me to not appeared for the test, and the entire Postal Deprtment is responsible for that.

When I went to the Post Office in Our area Wagle Estate, they are not ready to accept their mistakes and saying that if you want to do complaint do it, we donot care about that.

Therefore, i would like to register complaint against Postal Department for their irresponsible Postmans and thier imporper management.
