I had booked a bus ticket @ www.redbus.in for Hyderabad to Nagpur journey by Omer Travels Volvo [tdax55525949] at INR 900/- I was supposed to travel in an omer travels volvo [Seat F3] but what was actually sent to the Bowenpally boarding point was a regular Non-ac bus for which fares through the www.redbus.in site itself are 450/-
The reason given was that the volvo I was supposed to travel in was held by police and was not released in time.I was offered 200/- as refund which I declined. Apparently rates of the non-ac bus had been hiked from 450/- to 700/- just for the journey. I called up omer travels representative and I was told that he could not do anything as he was out of office. Seeing no other option I boarded the bus. I was told @ boarding that the bus would reach Nagpur by 7 am at the most whereas the bus actually reached nagpur at 10.30 am.
I also happened to miss the engagement that was the purpose of the trip as I was late by 3 hours. This whole fiasco was reported to the customer care who then advised me to send a mail to support team. The customer support team did not reply and later I was offered a 100/- refund. Its just adding insult to the injury.The support staff does not believe in emails or so it seems, going by their unwillingness to hear me out or reply promptly. thanks you redbus and Omer travels, I am never using your services again and going to actively discourage anyone who wants to.
