We also paid $139.99 to have a problem fixed with one of our Microsoft programs. It was never repaired properly and we had to pay the A T & T ConnecTech service to get it resolved. I have called and called TechVedic to speak to a supervisor, been put on hold, told that someone would call us back, been given the [protected]@techvedic.com email address to write to with our complaints. No one ever returns the email or phone calls. So, I called Microsoft and spoke to someone there who told me that the so-called "repairs" they were making to my computer, never existed in the first place and that this was a scam. They said that if we had gone through them, they wouldn't have charged us anything until the problem was resolved and even then it would have only cost us about $59. The strange thing is that my husband swears he got the TechVedic contact info from Microsoft, so we cannot understand how that happened, unless he called a number on a website for Microsoft that was a front for TechVedic. We have filed a dispute with our credit card company and I will update here later on the results. Bottom line---DON'T USE TECHVEDIC! They are a SCAM.
I had a problem with techvedic yesterday, very similar to the comments above, got the number from Microsoft, or so I thought.
I was entitled to a free download of Windows XP 3 to update my laptop and finished up paying £139.99.for repairs and the removal of so called hackers from my machine. £139.99 appears to be a very popular amount for almost everything

Contacted my credit card company and am hoping to stop the payment, even so it is very frightening, and not good at my age
my blood pressure went sky high, and I havn't been feeling well all day.

A SCAM COMPANY
I have just started useing the company above the only problem I've had is that me Credit card's dont apear to be able to work over there I cannot name the card's or the agent in this mater, my computor and printer sofware were fix'd very well, but I have as yet been unable to settle my outstsanding bill with them, there agent has tried everything to fix this hichup but the problem seems to be there end, I will be having one more try ! my computor was in one hell of a mess and it was almost at a standstill, they fixed 138 errors and I do know that this figure was correct, I now have an old printer orriginaly for XP now working very hard with Windows 7, as I stated its just paying them is a problem which I have no dought they will also fix.
If my judgment I rong in this matter I will keep you informed.
I will say one thing to all of you there a language barrier and this may cause missunderstandings, all of you try to obtain there assistance one more time, we have several dialects in our language me included, may somtimes be hard to understand, please just try one more time you've have nothing to lose, always give sombody a 2nd chance the may surprise you.
How do you ever call them when after going through all the motions, pushing this number, pushing that number, all you get is a very curt "Goodbye" and then cut off.
I too recently contacted them for media help on my computer and could not repair my issue...their claim of 24/7 is a lie. I also sent them several emails that they ignored. I asked them to not take the money out of my checking account because they did not fix my problem and they did. They basically stole my money! They advertise a money back guarantee which is a lie. I finally called and got ahold of someone there who said I would be receiving a refund in 5-7 days BUT it has been 3 weeks and still waiting. This company is a FRAUD. BEWARE!
My girlfriend was unable to login to Hotmail or reset her password. She did a google search for hotmail support and called TechVedic thinking they were Microsoft. When I came into the situation they were already remote controlling her computer and telling her her computer had been hacked.

I took the phone and the "technician" told me that the computer had been hacked and that all the online banking passwords had been compromised. He showed me a windows system directory listing and a list of services (manual start) that were not running as proof and started talking about fees.

I hung up on him before he could finish. What he showed and told me was absolute BS. I've been a computer tech for 15+ years and know a scam when I see one. Avoid these SCAM ARTISTS at all costs.
well i have worked with the company. i donot agree with those who say that this company is a fraud or it is a scam.
Techvedic is supporting a lot, their technicians are well qualified. My name is Vincent. I really appreciate the work.
Hello
I have been dealing with Techvedic - under the mistaken guise they were Hewlett Packard support.

They spent a while trying to supposedly 'fix' my computer - until I became wary and specifically asked if they worked for HP.

Instead -- they wiped it, lost a lot of my information, inputted a 32 bit operating system on a 64 bit operating system and corrupted the factory image reset.

I am now paying to have my computer properly fixed and have been without access to it for two weeks now.

I tried to contact Techvedic and was passed around on the phone for over 25 minutes with them refusing to give me an email address or a Head Office address to complain to.

Do not used them under any circumstances.
I have just got off the phone to them - a total scam! I fully agree this company is full of crap. I am really worried as I let them have remote access in to my computer and also a password which I said I should not do but he 'convinced' me this was fine. I am not an easy target, trust me and am annoyed at myself for falling for this.

My hotmail account had been hacked and I needed to get it sorted asap. I spoke to Deepak who understood very little English and also spoke very little English. He had me on the phone for over 30 minutes constantly putting me on hold. He took remote access and could not fix it. He did say it would be fixed within 48 hours and just as I was away to hang up he said I would be charged for this service!!!

I refused this and said the problem was not fixed (and still hasn't been!) I asked to speak to a supervisor who was not much better! He then gave me a false number to contact.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I am now very worried about information I have let them in to on my computer and would appreciate any advice.

Thanks
Well i work in tech sopport and I know what might have happened... you might have called them saying is this STOPZILLA anD they have replied "yes sir we do support stopzilla".. now they are correct here they do support stopzilla and all the software but there is a service charge for it... even if you take it to a local technician they will ask you for money even for scanning your computer. the technician might say you to install a new hardware to increase the performance ( which is true as you are spending money on it) ... but tech support people do it without installing a new hardware and they knows there job well
if you compare the service then

1. No need to take computer to technician site
2. One stop solution for all problems
3. They have ways and hell lots of software to help you or to install on your computer.
If you go to market to get the same it might cost higher then the whole new computer
4. If you ask them do you have any free software ( antivirus, computer cleaner, spyware removal tool, malware removal tool or pdf converter pdf reader or email client and hell lots of sofware) they will give it you free of cost with just a small service charge or with "Annual Maintenance Contract"

5. They work 24/7 means no wait to get computer fixed.
6. They are in this for a long time ... and there are at least 100 technician present at any moment so if you have a prob and one cant fix it there is always a second.

dont worry be happy .. just ask for best possible plan

you will get it ( its the rule of support to tell if there is any other plan present)

Samson,

This company is without a doubt scammer company, yesterday I contacted HP UK by phone, to register my new computer, I was redirected to who I thought was HP, they ask me what my problem was, my answer I need to register my PC, next up came a registration form, which I filled in, and pressed send, the Indian guy then said I had a major problem, you have a Trojan within your computer, he then said he would have to screen share, believing it to be HP, this I allowed, he said it would take between 1 and 2 hours, eventually. just before it was all finished he told me the cost was $199, or £126, which turned out to be £137.39, not only that, what bill will I get from my phone compant. and wht should I pay when its a new computer and had a warranty, I asked him if he was in England, no it was India, it was then he told me the name of the company wasTechvedic, I went to the bank to stop it, but the money had gone, theft is not the word for it, they also ruined my new computer, which will have to be put back to factory settings and rebuilt, but how do they get away with it
This bag company also scammed me. Told me I had a Trojan, tricked me into paying £126 for virus software that is FREE. Then I tried to get my money back... they keep telling me that they issued a refund. ... and they actually took £136 not £126
Hmmm I'm still in two minds with this company I think their intentions are to try and sell Microsoft software but also try and resolve customers like myself today and my IT problems. I think at the end of the day we as customers allow them to do the work and access our pc. So long as we are not stupid and pay by MasterCard or visa we can claim monies back if not satisfied by the level of service. I think that it's just a shame that due to language barrier and our inability to resolve problems locally that we end up on these complaint websites.
Credit to the owners of tech Vedic just wish I had thought of it first. If desperate why not call them but expect to pay a premium.
I have just escaped a close call from a scam begging to happen. Same scenarios as above but i was overcharged for a Mcafee renewal and found the number through googling 'mcafee contact'. I called techvedic in India who insisted my laptop had trojans and needed 2 hours to fix it at a charge of £120. I was angry i was already overcharged and was not prepared to pay even more.
I then googled a UK contact number Mcafee who put me through to the right department and was discounted my renewal which i was happy with and told me that Techvedic had nothing to do with them. Mcafee technical support is FREE!

Techvedic is truly a SCAM company so do not pay anything to them and do not let them have remote access to your PC's too.

This company cold called an elderly neighbour telling them they had a computer virus, they then took a credit card payment and "fixed" the problem, however the computer was then infested with viruses and spyware. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Just had a friend of mine pay these people £131 to take viruses off a brand new machine taking advantage of an older person who dosnt know anything about computers. on ringing up to complain promised to call back in 10 mins but I spent the next 2 hours trying to get to speak to someone again but as I know what im talking about with computers they wouldnt talk to me but phoned back to already upset older lady to say that she was the one who had ok'd the work and she would not be getting a refund.

THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY DO NOT USE THEM
Stay away from these guys! They are definite scammers! I discovered this in good time ie hadn't put my credit card details into the screen they provided (I advised them It would take a few minutes to find my credit card - I then checked the company separately on my IPad and saw all these comments). I immediately closed down the screen. It is so sad and annoying that we continue to be exposed to these fraudsters!
I have paid £139 believing the company to be, Norton Securities I was down loaded nortons free 30 day trial but when that expired I have not been able to get a further download or any satisfactory explanation, how can I now get my down load or a refund??
