I called Techvedic by mistake today (thinking they were Microsoft, which was easy to do if you don't read Google results properly).
I had a problem with Word 2013. The techvedic rep asked to connect remotely to my computer so I let him.
He then typed in CMD and then in the Command window, he typed MSCONFIG and when the Graphic User Interface (GUI) came up,
he gasped and said I had loads of trojans and malware on my computer and that this might be the problem. He then listed lots of trojans.
THEN, he said he could fix it for £139 pounds, which was when I got suspicious and hung up the phone, and then immediately disconnected from his remote connection. I then went into cmd / msconfig and there were NO TROJANS OR MALWARE. I then did a full Kaspersky search and no problems. Based on my experience, I would say that this company (who may be able to fix things FOR A PRICE?) is not a good company because they told me I had problems that I did not have so that they could get money out of me. Luckily, I didn't fall for it. Be careful with TECHVEDIC.
My mother has just been scammed by them - they advertise on Google that they are Dell support. The real Dell is now fixing what they've done.

They logged on remotely for over an hour, does anyone know if they try to download data from your PC, I'm concerned that they will try to steal my identity?
This firm has just scammed my 70 year old mother. First by telling her she had lots of trojan viruses they said they could fix, then by selling her microsoft office that she didn't need (or want) she paid £300, they have lost all of her emails contacts. Do not touch this firm. They should be shut down
Whoever is saying that techvedic is fraud, let me tell you one thing that they resolve every software problem and ofcourse it's not free. Why would they provide free services. Also check their products. They provide Microsoft office pro plus for about $279.99 but the price on microsoft website is $399.99. What more can you expect.
on July 3, 2012 i phoned techvedec who told me they were a microsoft affiliate, microsoft deny this, i was double charged and one computer put out of action. AVOID, L INGRAM
Techvedic - Totally suspicious bunch. When I let them in to manipulate my computer I immediately regretted it; it was like opening my house door to a criminal posing as a repair man. I could just tell they were snooping around, trying to find my ID details etc. Also they went off the problem into some spiel about problems they'd discovered on my computer. I felt it was an invention to fool the unwary. I could just tell where it was headed - just like when you take in your car to a garage and they find a whole host of (non-existent)problems, the pay meter is cranking up and UP. When I told the guy I wasn't happy and would terminate the call, he got rather aggressive and said loudly 'NO' (twice). He also started calling me 'Bud' - totally unprofessional. Turned off modem and computer as fast as I could.
I paid £178 for Techvedic to sort my computer out and install a copy of Windows 7. Included in the deal was a copy of MS Office 2010. Not only did they supply a spurious copy of Windows (continually flagged as illegal from Microsoft) but the MS Office was not provided. I asked for a refund - this was seven months ago - during which time I was promised the refund and was told continually that it had been paid. It had not. I called Techvedic approx. thirty times and on the final occasion was told that the six month refund period had expired and that a refund was not available. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with, by a long way. Do not use. - they are fraudsters.

Techvedic charged me £131 to make my computer worse, while they pretended to be agents for AVG!
By the time they finished the computer was shutting itself down, after not even properly starting up! Boy what a mug to be taken in by these con artists! I had to pay a proper IT engineer £120 to clear up
their mess, get rid of all the viruses and get my computer working again! I've had to change my credit card, change passwords, PINs and everything I can, to make sure I'm safe! AVG has got to go too, I shall never trust it again!!!
techvedic are not to be trusted! Thinking I had phoned a dell support uk site, I explained to the technician that I found two problems with C: drive "Targeted read test failed and Smart Short Self Test failed". The technician `Shankar K` said that this was very easy to fix, he took remote control of my laptop, he pointed out via command prompt that my pc had a trojan virus and other faults. He gave me a load of speil in his indian dialect most of which I did not understand (I think they do this on purpose to make you even more confused) then came the MONEY moment= £131.33 I commented that's a lot of money (more speil from Shankar) stupidly I filled in the money transfer page of which I had to sign. Then I noticed there was another to sign for the amount of £184.79 for Microsoft office. I told him I did not need or want this, he told me that Outlook was a very important part of keeping my pc safe I again signed. I was then told not shut down my pc and it would take maybe two hours to complete the work, finally via message box "All issues have been resolved" I typed in "Thank you". I then did a pc checkup again and found the same two problems, I phoned the number given and told them that Shankar K did not fix the problems and that I wanted my money back, after 20 minutes I was put through to the billing department and I spoke to Prerna, I spent another half hour arguing my case and her defending, saying that they had paid the technician for the work he did and that I was given Microsoft office at a knockdown
price, she then asked me to hold while she checked the recording of what I said, she came back on the phone and said they would refund £184.79 and agreed that I did indeed not want the office. Because I wrote in the message box "Thank you" she said that I had agreed to the work done and that I should pay that amount (more arguing) she said that they would refund £75 from the £131.33. The outcome I`m £60 down due to a bunch of scammers, but I do have microsoft office DO NOT USE THEM my name is Ian Campbell.

We have not even set anything up or given any bank details is it possible for them to just take money without us submitting details?
Techvidic are totally fraudulent. They kept a link through rescueme remote access and changed auto settings on my computer to manual and stopped many services. They told me there were viruses and Trojans on it. I refused to pay and have now had my computer completely
serviced and freed from Techvedic's control by a local reputable computer engineer who believes any problems he sorted on my computer were maliciously put there by a previous company and that has to be Techvedic as they are the only company I had used.

NEVER use Techvedic,
I just read the email about Techvedic pretending to be MicroSoft. The same thing happened to me last year where Techvedic told me they were part of MicroSoft and took remote access of my computer. Techvedic are scammers they are involved in pharming. Pharming is where they are able to remotely access your machine everytime you access the internet. So everything you download they are also able to see including all your passwords. Pharming is just one form of remote access tools they use to run scams. The fact they are using this tool and x-scripting means they are involved in organized crime. If you have already given remote access to Techvedic be very very careful with the laptop you are using, The fact that they have your DNS since yoy gave them remote access even if you change your laptop they can still hack your router as they did to me
I got suckered into this SCAM!!! I agreed to pay them £131.79 but after my payment they said that I don't seem to have windows office on my computer and that I needed that for them to work on my computer remotely. I am clueless with computers so I thought, okay, that probably makes sense, but then they said that it would cost me £399. WHAT!!!????? I can get that loads cheaper off Ebay from registered licenced sellers, I know that because I had been looking for this on ebay the same day. That's when I realised this was a scam, but by then they had my card details, they had my IP address and they had accessed my computer and all my passwords.
THIS IS WHAT I NOW KNOW TO DO IN THIS SITUATION...
Turn off computer...Turn off router, so there's no internet access...Call your internet service provider and tell them your IP address has been compromised and it needs changing, Some Providers change your IP address every time you go online as did mine so it was now secure.
Call your bank and tell them your bank card has been compromised, They will cancel the card you paid with even though the payment may still go out they can no longer take any more money.
Take your computer to a reputable computer shop, PC WORLD or somewhere like that, They will deal with the invasion of your computer and remove anything they have done. That only cost me £50, worth every penny!!!
Once your computer is clean, get back online and change all your passwords or use a friends computer to access your emails and change all your passwords using their internet while you wait for your computer to be cleaned.
This is what I did and now my computer is secure. It's a lot of hassle but it's better to be safe than sorry.
I hope this helps anyone with this problem.
BY THE WAY...TECHVEDIC UK ARE A SCAM...ANYONE SAYING THEY OFFER A GREAT SERVICE DON'T BELIEVE IT!!! IF YOU GET SUCKERED INTO IT, DON'T WASTE TIME FEELING STUPID JUST GET YOUR COMPUTER AND BANK ACCOUNT SAFE AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.
It seems that there is a scam company passing themselves off as the genuine article; if you phone the real company, they will tell you that they never phone customers, so anybody making a call TO you is a fake. If you check up with Techvedic, the number you are given to call back on and the technician's name are both fake.

Why can't something be done about this ? Why don't the genuine Techvedic do something about it ? I suppose that they must have been hacked to get their customer details, but it does seem as if there are a genuine Techvedic and at least one scam copy
DO NOT USE THIS FRAUD COMPANY ! i payed them £65.99 to fix the problem, they informed me that people have hacked into my computer. They could not fix the problem and refused to give my money back as promised !!!
Hi,

Dear Prashant Dhakal, I was very impressed with your excellent technical ability when dealing with my problem. The problem was solved in a very professional way with a very courteous attitude.

Thanks Techvedic for the concern.

I had a pop up window that looked like the one you get when you do a Norton scan that said EMERGENCY-CRITICAL ERRORS FOUND CALL[protected].

So of course I called them and the computer engineer told me this happens when your computer and software puts its hands up and says please help me I can't fight all these virus alone.

So, I let him take control of my computer it was a long call with me being put on hold many times because I had too many problems he had to keep "going" to his supervisor for help. He said I had many Trojans that were days away from taking over my HD and whole system including the router and I needed to buy their software for £186 at once or face a total *** of my system. When I declined the engineer got really pushy with me and blunt, so I ended the call and deleted some recently installed programs that looked suspect and ran a Norton scan and now it is running smoothly. Norton didn't detect any Trojans at all. The call also lasted an hour and because I called from a mobile it's not toll free so I had to pay nearly £13 to listen to a bunch of manipulative lies.

All in all. AVOID THESE SCAMMERS!!
