My consumer id is[protected] and inst. No is 01386595. As per web instruction I, was submit the consumer ID and Inst. No for consumer registration upto submit the mobile nomber for OTP generated and the process was successfully but get not any userID and passward in my email box.my email number is [protected]@gmail.com.please help me for compleete cosumer registration.

How can i get installation no for online payment registration

There is an option named as "quick bill pay" where you only need to provide the consumer id for payment. Until and unless you try to register as user, installation no wont be required.

It is very bad, no one from WBSEDCL is replying for all user question above for the same reason.
This is shame on there part for developing a portal and not bother about consumer problem.

I have found the installation number . The installation number is given on the main bill as inst no: xxxx xxxx. The eight digit no is under the consumer id at the top of the long bill.

For online payment through WBSEDCL Website the site requires "Installation No.(No/Type). This information is not in any of the previous bills. My Con id is[protected] . I hereby request to WBSEDCL send the same to my mail address given below

This information is for people who are trying to figure out how to register to WBSEDCL, view bills and pay outstanding bill amount online.
NOTE: All information are based on my personal experience.

1. First of all, to pay electricity bill through WBSEDCL you don't have to be a registered user.
Just goto http://www.wbsedcl.in/ -> Select "Online Payment" -> Select "Quick Pay". It will ask you the Consumer ID. Once you enter the information you should be able to view your pending amount and select whichever you want to pay.

2. If you want to register online, then check you electricity bill, you will have consumer number and Installation Number. You can use those information to register to http://www.wbsedcl.in.

3. If you want to register and somehow you lost your bill, then there is still a way to register. Yes, this is true. You can download the WBSEDCL Android app and register using your consumer number. Using the app you can pay your bill. But to download your actual bill it will ask you the meter number. If you provide the Meter Number then you can download the bill which has Installation Number. With the installation Number you can then register you account online.

I hope this will help anyone looking for help how to pay the bill without registering. Also how to register if you don't have installation number.

Good part of paying online is, you will get the rebate. For example, if your monthly bill is Rs.511, then online you might be paying Rs.505.
