I just have a simple questtion here. Would they do the same to a US Subsriber?
Tell us whats the difference of an US Subscriber against us? They also pay and use the service! So why arent we protected against it? When the service is given here, we need to be protected by the laws of this land. If there was a problem with satellite boradcasting services with the govt. the same should have been published in the news papers and let the public know about it, than go gaga over it and paint a false picture. After we all know what this govt. does when it come to decision making. So long as the babu's pocket is ensured to be filled, nothing would move in this land. But as a world class service, your utmost concern should have been maintained, and this is the end customer. Any doubts on that?! So respect it as you would respect the same to an US customer! Simple!! All the good work that was done, are knocked now, since the doubt in the customer mind is marked coz of this falsification of the services.
This is cheating every one should file a case in consumer court and the broadcasting minister should take action for this well planned collection done by the company.
I am too at loss after renewal in Nov09 for two years. We are using it for last three years. Is there any scope for some body taking over Indian operation ? Is any body is taking any action in India on behalf of the customers ? Please answer.
We should collect the contact information of the worldspace subscribers. and take a strong step aginst wolrd space radio.
Also there must be some company/NRI's or company like Reliance who can take over worldspace in India, or start our own satelite radio.
there must me some employee of worldspace India who can help us in arranging the contact information of the subscribers and then we can so something against cheating with Indians. my email [protected]@bsnl.in +91-[protected] pl. contact any time.
I think and also hope that some Indian company will pick up the
stakes of worldspace and render justice and continue with the good music .Surely, there has to be other companies who can now approach india for similar services ? Subscription has to be
tackled thro a litigation jointly against worldspace india.
I have renewed just one month back, this is fraud, do something, to get the money.
I renewed the subscription for two years till June, 2011 and not getting the service from 29th December, 2009.
This is a big fraud and criminals must be booked and punished immediately.
We immediately need the intervention of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting as well as Legal course to be initiated against World Space. We have all been cheated This company should be banned from broadcasting in India.
I feel that WOrld space will be back after a while
Government should take the accountability because of various reasons..
Reason One: Worldspace came to indian market after getting prior permission from Government of India. They are following the guideines, standards inline to Indian Government broadcasting rules. Who should be help liable???Bankrupt company can repay to its customers. Its the governemt that has to be accounted. Otherwise the government may give permission for another company for doing business in india and one fine day they will file chapter11.
why dont we all go to the press and try to get some sort of justice??????
ya please support me friends i want to do something for all o[censored]s because i am
also one of the customer and i have also renewed my subscription on 8th
december please support me we will find some way for it.if they will not return thenwe can file a case against the company if you all 7 lacs customers of world space support me.i will wait for all your replies
there should be a class action suit against them, they shut shop within 2 weeks of soliciting how of 2 yrs subscription from me.However i enjoyed the music while they were on air.
Worldspace have taken their Indian customers for granted. I have been a customer for over 3 years and also taken another set for my parents. I did not receive any mail regarding discontinuation of service and nothing about refunds. We should place a class action suit on these fraudsters.
...is it only the money that matters? just think of the good and bad times the WS receiver has stood by you, catering to your musical self, music from all over the world. to me, owning a worldpace receiver was a pride. i happen to work at a place where no FM channels reach, as a result of which WS was the sole means of radio entertainment. i have learnt about so many great lives from WS radio, about so many valuable information on music. how can just one company decide for you and plan to snatch from you this source of joy. money is important...even i have lost several months of suscription, but what i feel is that, we should be compensated for this trauma we have been suddenly thrusted into...
This is very unethical, least to say unprofessional for Worldspace to abruptly stop the service without any prior anouncement or intimation not accounting for current subsriptions.
Did any one tried this link and mailed the details as requested by them. Does it mean we might get compnsated the amount we paid as advance subscription

Definitely a fraud has been commited. I have been deprived of service after the renewal in 2009 for two years.Government should wake up to this frauds and protect common man's interest.Surprised as to why Govt has not starte taking action.
