I am writing this email to express my displeasure on after sale service provided by daikin .
I live in singapore where i have Daikin ac as well and get excellent service .
That is why i choose to buy Daikin in India as well . We bought a 1.5 ton ac ( without invertor )ac from one of the dealer in durg ( sigma electronic) . When we bought the ac we were told that there will be a installation fees of 800 to 1000 rs .
When the installation guys from Daikin came to our house, they told that there were a lot of missing parts, we called the dealer who send over the parts . After installation the service center guys demanded for 1800 rs .and told that this is the charges . When we asked for bill they said they dont provide bill for installation . And the dealers sales bills should mention it .
We were very tired of fighting with them and ended up paying them .
We bought our ac on 18/03/19 and after a month and half only the cooling is really really very weak . And 3 days back the ac started giving very hot air .
I called Daikin service center and asked for a sevice center to help us get it fixed .
As our ac is still in warranty, just to be sure i reconfirmed the service center of charges . The service center people told that as the ac is still in warranty it will be free of charge .
Next day the service center guy named “ Rohit” who runs the daikin servicing in durg chattisgarh called and told that he will send someone to have a look . He told someone will come in the morning between 10 -11 am to fix it . Up on waiting for whole day the service center guys called at 6 pm in the evening that they will be coming soon . I told them its already starting to get dark if there is a problem with the ac how will they fix it now . They said they have got all the spare parts .
On coming home they just switched on the ac, the ac started giving cold air but the cooling was still very poor . And they said that the ac is completely ok as the temperature outside is very hot the ac is not working and they told the same to lot of customers as well . They also told that we should have installed 2 ton ac and gave suggestion to sell this ac and buy a new one . ( upon which i got very angry and told them that when they were installing the ac i had specifically asked for if this unit can cool the room and they had said yes 1 and half ton ac is more than enuf to cool the room) .
They said its getting very dark and they need to leave and demanded for 400 rs as service charge . I asked them they just switched on the ac and off, no parts were changed than what is the service charge for . They said we are giving you service at your home after 5 pm, and we charge 5 rs per km if the area is more than 10 km aways from there service station . And that they charge the same for everyone . I called the customer service to confirm this and they said no this service is free of charge and customer service people also spoke to the service center guys not to charge us . After disconnecting the call the service center guys called their boss “ rohit” who started fighting with us for money and said that daikin does not pay him for ac servicing after sales .
We ended up paying them 300 rs because they were not willing to go without taking money .
This is completely unacceptable, daikin has given service center responsiblity to such cheat people who dont even give bill, and no proper service ( my ac is still not working well) .and harass people to extract money . I had such a gud experience with daikin in singapore for past 8 years but i regret buying it in India . There are so many other korean brands in india giving so much better service .
I bought Daikin because of brand name outside India but i guess this experience completely ruined daikins brand name in my mind .
My house is at a distance of exact 19.4 km from service center .
