I purchased 2 Daikin AC's in Aug'2020. I also purchased a comprehensive AMC from them post completion of 2 free services in the first year. I experienced some cooling issues in one of the AC units for a few days so I raised a complaint with Daikin Customer Care. The technician visited my residence on 02/23/2022 and he informed me the coil had multiple leakages. This came to me as surprise/shock, how can a 18 month old AC have a coil leakage, especially when its a product like Daikin. He then informed me that coil is not a part of AMC and I would have to pay Rs.7, 000 if I had to replace the coil.
I immediately contacted the Mumbai office and spoke to Akash Salve (Regional Manager) about this and he advised me this should not happen. He mentioned he will speak to the Authorized dealer who visited my residence and look at the report. I followed up the next day on 24/2/22 and he advised me the coil is not in warranty but he will repair the coil. When I asked for the guarantee on the repair he said there would be no guarantee, plus he sounded as if he was doing a favor on me by repairing the coil. I requested him to do the replacement as such poor quality of product is not expected from Daikin. He hasn't responded to the replacement request yet which is the reason why I am reporting this grievance.
