I had purchased an Oriel Solid Wood Single Bed with Storage from Pepperfry on 20th February 2020.
Item ID is FM1694477-S-WH32491.
The amount paid for this product is Rs.25399 including all taxes which also has a warranty of 3 years. On 19th of June, the support between the two ends of the bed broke in between as there appeared a crack. So, on 22th June, a furniture specialist had visited and checked and observed the furniture and then concluded that the damage is irreparable and that it can only be replaced. On 23rd June, we received a mail stating that the product will not be accepted for repair/return as it has been damaged due to our usage. I wonder, How can a wooden cot break due to our usage? This is completely meaningless and baseless claim put forth by Pepperfry Officials, even after the furniture specialist referring for a replacement after thorough inspection. Now, even after sending them multiple mails regarding the same, we aren't getting any response as a matter of solution to this problem.
Even though this product was expensive, we had only purchased it thinking that as it came from a reputed company like Pepperfry, it would last longer. This kind of response was not expected from such a company. Hoping that necessary action will be taken by the concerned authorities or else we will be forced to seek legal advice.
