I had bought 2 policies from policy bazaar for tata aia with policy no. C[protected] & c[protected]. I had sent cancellation request for both the policies on 22 feb, 2 mar, 4 mar and on many occasions on call with the policy bazaar team. I even got confirmation from the policy bazaar team that i will receive the full refund for the policies. However it came to my notice that they cancelled on 1 policy i. E. C[protected] and didnot process the cancellation request for c[protected]. The policy got issued on 4 march 2019. I paid premium of rs. 5, 486 online. Even after repeated reminders the policy was not cancelled and it got issued without proper medicals done.
Now when they filed cancellation request with the company ie. Tata aia i received refund of only receiving rs. 1, 614.86 instead of rs. 5, 486. They deducted stamp duty & mortality charges for the policy in place.
However in first place when the policy cancellation request was given within 2 days of payment they should have cancelled both the policies and issued refund for both the policies. Was this information helpful? |
