Titan Company — exorbitant cost for replacing a battery

I have the same experience. I replaced the battery today.They took Rs. 295 as service charge and Rs. 60 for battery.

Today I have replaced battery of my Titan wrist watch with chronological facility. They have charged me of Rs 211.86 each battery and taxes extra of 38.14 Rs each battery. Also 250 Rs. For service charge of battery replacement with taxes of 22.5 Rs each watch. They even forced me to not ask for bill and give only 100 Rs service charge. But being a Tata employee I insisted for bill.
This is Pushpanjali watches in Budharaja Sambalpur Odisha. This is very unfair and unethical act by an authorized vendor. This spoils the brand image and divert people like us to go for other brands those who are customer friendly. This needs to be verified by company people and strict action to be taken against them. And if this is fair on company part then this is looting.

Same experience with me I replaced a battery in world of titan bokaro sector 4, Jharkhand. The store guy charged me Rs.405. The bill shows service charge including battery replacement. Somehow I saw in his system 295 labour charge and 105 for battery. 3 times extra the price of battery what a loot they doing on the name of Titan. Time taken for replacement was less than a minute. I gave a note of Rs.500 and he returned me 100 instead of 95 and was saying if you don't have change then it's okay we will manage in the ledger at closing time this shows he is cheating to the company. Please take strict action on these stores. The price was not worth which was charged to me.

I am a middle class man and bought titan watch in 2016 costing around Rs 1500/-. The watch is fine but considering the cost of replacing the battery I am currently thinking whether to use it or not. Also I wanted to give my daughter a titan watch as a reward for passing her elementary drawing exam with A grade, but I changed my mind considering the cost of replacing the battery. Many common people must be thinking like me. This will keep titan as a brand but will reduce its major sale . My request to the management people is that the company can get the required profit by increasing the sale with per unit less profit and high sale as well as regular maintenance cost i.e. battery replacement or similar facilities are provided at reasonable cost. people look at titan as a good Indian brand. It is only a modest expectation that it should be available to all. Thank you.

After paying the exorbitant price the battery last for 8 to 12 months only if it would have last for 2 to 3 years then too it was digestible like the original battery which comes with the watch lasts for 4 to 6 years. The battery they are using hardly cost 30 to 40 rupees and it runs only for 6 to 12 months. So definitely this is looting. Same is with casio they are charging 450 to 500 and the battery life is only 01 year. And in new purchase of watch it last for 5 to 6 years.

Now titan is not in fair trade. Its service charges, may be, are the sole source of their income.

today i have replaced a battery on titan showroom they charged me 496 rs and later i got bill on mail of rs 268.00

As small and simple thing like getting new battery, the price of which was Rs 10, We were charged a service fee of Rs 405!!!
Please Help me and refund the amount in my original payment method (my credit card).

I was charged ₹517 for battery replacement for my wrist watch...it's unfair
