You should cross check it with others or call 111 before buying any plan. There is new scheme in which we need to send a msg ie. write ONE send it to 56565 (for local calls at Re.1), and STD to 56565 (For STD call at Rs. 1.30). There is no extra charge for it.
This might be the case with you.

Vodafone — personal data has leaked

I am anmol...leaving in greater noida. I am using vodafone connection for my communication from last six months. Now, there is a local distributor named Vivek called me and told me that he has got my residence address through vodafone centre and not only this he also said that he can play my recorded conversation cd that I have with my one of friend. He belong to my friend as her uncle and he is misusing his position as a vodafone distributor to break our relationship.
Now, I know this very well, whatever he done with my data at vodafone is purely illigal, how could he do that? pls take action about Mr. Vivek(Mob-[protected]) otherwise I have to take legal action against vodafone on leak of my personal data.

I am one of your subscriber ( [protected]) and wish to migrate my post paid connection to prepaid through Vodafone, Essar Cellular Ltd, Zero junction, Alappuzha-1. Eventhough I made request to cancel my postpaid connection on 9-6-2008 they don't accept it . As per their advice I have remitted Rs.1200/- as entire bill amount on 9-6-2008 and directed me to come back on[protected] thesame. As they directed I again appeared on[protected] and remit an amount of Rs.211/- ( Vide receipt No 55838 dtd[protected] for the full settlement . Eventhough I have appear before the billing date (1) they have not accept my request and collect Rs.200/- as extra rental for the next month. On the same day I surrendered my post paid SIM card and got a new plane SIM card with assuring that I would get connection within 7 days. During the period of[protected] to[protected] I approached them manytimes for speedy migration and they want 7 days for the same. Then I contact customer care cell on[protected], and[protected] and (2) they informed me that the agency have forwarded my request only on[protected]. In this circumstances, as a Police Officer, I have faced more inconvenience . The behaviour of your authorised agency is irresponsible and illegal. Vodafone — POOR RESPONSE & CHEATING

I CHANGE MY NUMBER[protected] in the name of Balraj Gupta FROM PREPAID TO POSTPAID. THE SALE MANAGER COMMITTED FOR GIVING ME A "BAG" AS GIFT FROM VODAFONE. BUT I DIDNOT GET THE "BAG" TILL NOW. Vodafone — my elusive sony u600

its at least 3 weeks now and i have no hair left to pull out
let me start at the beggining.
i make a call to vodafone customer services due to my u600 going on the fritz, (it turned itself off and wouldnt come on again) i was informed by a polite young gentleman that my phone was still under warranty and probably could be fixed at my nearest vodafone store. i then asked if i could get a friend to do so as i was busy working and was told that this would be no problem whatsoever.
on going to the store 13 miles away my friend was informed that he had a wasted journey as they could do nothing without the relevant paperwork.i then had to phone vodafone again to explain the situation. i got another polite young man on the phone who informed me that he couldnt see why they didnt just sort it there and then because they had been informed that my friend was coming and not me. he also told me that he would send me an envelope into which i should place my u600 and mail it to them. i waited a week and no envelope. i then phoned again and after being put on hold for at least 15 mins was informed that a new envelope would be sent out. two days later i recieved the envelope and waisted no time in sending my u600 minus the battery and sim as per instruction.another week passes and still no phone. after yet another call (30 mins long) during which i was informed that my phone had been mailed to me and had also been signed for, i hung up and emmediately went round all my neighbours asking if anyone had signed for my u600. i also checked with my local post office with no luck there either. so yes you guessed, yet another call to vodafone ( another 30 mins) during which they denied all knowledge of ever recieving my phone and could i fax a copy of the receipt as proof of postage. this was something else really. why after telling me that they had mailed my phone to me did they now want proof that i had sent them it in the first place. something beggining with i and ending in diots comes to mind, but why dont i just play along and see what transpires.so the copy of the reciept was sent by fax and i patiently waited. two days later and to my asstonishment i receive a package from vodafone. i grab the battery and sim from my u600 ready to put it in my phone only to open the package and take out a sony erickson k800i. this has got to be a joke. you guessed it, yet another 30 min call during which i was informed that they had no u600's left and they would send me the battery and charger for the k800i until they received a new batch o[censored]600's. if i ever receive my u600 without another 30 min phone call or two then i will be very very surprised. the saga continues. sheesh what a bunch of $%^&*()@!
oh and dear vodafone
instead of your reps concentrating all they're efforts on being polite could they please please please concentrate on getting it right just now and then.

Vodafone / New Postpaid No. — mantly harresmnt by company

I took a new connection from vodafone on 15 June 2008 it was activated on 16th June because we were not in the town we came back in evening on 17th June but till that time someone from the company already had a visit at my home and made it negative verification same day i called customer care of vodafone and request them a revisit at my home but the company barred my all calls On 18th i called once again and request for the same (reference no [protected]) but the revisit done at my home on 22nd June same day cust care told me that it will activate today itself after 0000hrs.but it not done so after that i made a lot of request there but it is still not activated. Today with the reference no.[protected] they commit me that it will activated before 17:00hrs today but now when i called them they are saying it will take another 24 hrs; to activate.
I am working with a MNC group, as Sales Manager and I have already update my no. to all my known persons it is very difficult situation for me to living without my phone no as i have gain already a lot of losses about business. I am Mantly very Disturbed and facing a lot of problems about my business also.
It is very pathetic to get a lot of wrong commitments made by the company, which is always advertising for their customer care as Happy To Help.
please help me and a serious action against the company by which this type situation not held in the future by someone else.

Vodafone — Activation of caller tune without my permission or knowledge

I have Vodafone prepaid connection, on April 25, caller tune has been activated on phone without my knowledge or permission and Rs. 48 had been deducted from my account. When I made complaint on customer care they said me that they will inquire and give me sufficient reply within 48 hours still after 4 days they didnt gave any feedback to me and when I again inquired on customer care they replied to me in very inconvienent manner and said that no money would be refund back. And after 2 months without making nay call or sms they deducted Rs. 4 from my balance. I am highly upset and depressed from their service. Please I want that appropriate action should be taken on Vodafone company.
