Sir,

I had recently shifted in my new home with address as : RZL-68, Mahavir Enclave-1, F/F, KH No: 84/11, Bengali Colony, Nr Kali Mandir, New Delhi-45 and had applied in BSES for Meter Installation.

Dated 28th June 2009 new meter got installed at my residence after several followups.Since the day my Meter got installed the unit consumption per day was bit high (approx. 20 - 25 UNIT per day), initially thought that it could be due to the reason of A/C or fridge.But then with in the span of 10 days my unit consumption kept on raising gradually ( Approx: 100 to 125 per day).

Then i walked in with complaint at BSES Janakpuri Branch which is just next to Dabri crossing.Tried lodge the complaint spoken at cust care helpdesk and also with Asst Manager( Not confirmed the name actually but he was Mr Murli) they completly denied to get the METER checked before my bill gets generated.

I tried to convince then that on the daily basis my meter reading is getting upgraded by 100 to 150 units and currently with in the span of 20 days my BSES Metre reading has gone up by 1500 units.A nd i am afraid till the time my bill will get generated the meter reading will be so high that i would not be getting the bill of less tha Rs.20000/- .

But No responce received from their side simply denied for any help not even tried to get the Meter Checked.

Request you to kindly help me getting my problem resolved ASAP .

    BSES’s inhuman move is really heart touching and saddening, as this organization has really placed me in dilemma. I am Urmila Sinha, running a school for under privileged children in the rural area, Jharoda Kalan from the past 24 years, have been mentally harassed and tortured by the BSES. I have paid a big amount of Rs 13948 on the assurance of BSES that it will install a new meter with consistent electricity connection. Although, the meter was stalled, still there was no consistent electric supply at my place. We lodged several complaints, but everything went in vain.

    Being a social institution, we were not provided with consistent power supply. We received power supply rarely. We continuously paid the bill up to Nov 2008. However, this illegal extraction became the practice of the BSES. We have lodged several complaints against BSES for not providing electricity, but all our efforts were futile.

    In the meantime, BSES gave us a huge blow of around Rs 39427 and that too in the absence of electric power! Isn’t it shocking? We immediately approached the Najafgarh branch of BSES and contacted Mr. Shyam Sunder Gupta. He personally checked the meter and the reading was staggering 7598! That was really a big shock for us. In one day, how could the meter showed more than 7000 reading. Now, there are only two possibilities left. Either the meter is having some technical fault or the reader has tampered it. Moreover, this has resulted on a big blow over us. We have no other option left then to shut down such well established school, as in the absence of power children have already left our institution. It is just like a death for me, as many of our teachers are unemployed now. Tell me who is responsible for this. Of course it is your greed and mismanagement.

    BSES has made this a practice of looting innocent common man. We have come to know of several incidents where the victims are living without electricity and have to pay huge electric bills. BSES is certainly misusing their power and position. You are requested kindly to withdraw this unbearable huge amount of Rs 39427 immediately; else we have to take some severe legal actions against it, by taking the matter to the Honorary Chief Minister of Delhi, to the concerned legal authority and technical advisor.

    BSES has made it regular practice of playing with the meter in the name of reading. From now onwards, I won’t allow anyone to touch the meter at any cost. If they want to check the meter then it should be done in the presence of some legal authority. I am expecting immediate reformative steps from your side.

Actually, I want to complaint against the people in KARAM PURA who has got their electricity meters tempered and then to escape they got it shifted iillegally into their houses .They are using electricity illegally.         I S.K.KAUSHIK co-owner of D-191 karampura new delhi 110015. The one room at first floor of the house no.D-191 karampura new delhi 110015 is in my possesion which is locked from the last 15 months.whereas RAVI KAUSHIK is residing in the complete groound floor of house no.D-191 karampura new delhi 110015.from the last six months i have noticed that the theft of electricity has been done by RAVI KAUSHIK house no D-191 karampura new delhi 110015. I will not be held responsible for any recovery/dues/fine/penalty raised against RAVI KAUSHIK.

        Please take necessary action as soon as possible.

          Sir/Madam,

          This is with reference to the complaint against electricity bill no. 660253. The above meter is in the name of Smt Indu Bhandari vide connection no. K.No.: 2640 T510 0103 and CRN No.: [protected] R/o Flat no. H-6, Navbharat apartments, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi-110063.
          We received the electricity bill for the period of 21.04.2009 to 24.06.2009 and I got shocked when I saw the bill i.e. for Rs 10730.00 against units consumed shown was 2602 units. Since the time the meter was installed we never got the such big bill. Previous bills, which I was paid for the month of March 09; Jan 09; Nov. 08; Sept 08; and July 08 were for units 636; 596; 596; 656; 774 and 742 respectively . This bill is just double.
          I am domestic consumer and my electric consumption is more or less uniform as shown in earlier bills. I am surprised How it can be just double without any additional consumption. Therefore you are kindly requested to please correct the meter if required and rectify the bill and adjust the amount in next bill as I have already paid this bill .

          This is with reference to the complaint against electricity bill no. 958236. The above meter is in the name of Sh Harish Kumar vide connection no. K.No.: 2610 H302 0571 R/o Flat no. 69/2F/F F/P Ashok Nagar 110018. We received the clectricity bill for the peroid of 13.05.09 to 13.07.09 and i got shocked when i saw the bill i.e.for Rs 1470/- against units consumed shown was 550 units. Since the time the meter was installed we never got the such big bill. Previous bills, which i was paid not too. but now this bill is just double.             We dont have power the whole nite.
            the everynight power cut is only restricted to a few houses while the rest of the colony enjoys full power supply.
            Nobody is available at night to complaint or rectify the problem. The power goes exactly at 12am to 5am. Even the days have frequent power supplies thoughout.
            This has become a mojor problem to deal with. Little help is provided by the BSES authorities.

            We stay in Dwarka sector 6. The power goes off every night from 11:30pm till 3:00 am which makes life very difficult. BSES can you please do some thing about it... Raj
            Sir, I am a resident of Chand nagar, H.No:396, which comes under tagore garden circle. Since today morning(1/7/2009 till now We have no power supply. many times I complined to the BSES office at Mukherjee park over the phone and once I personally went to the office and told them. But no action is being taken yet. our little children are suffering this extreme hot since morning, and also we have not a single drpo of water in our home due to lack of electric ity. please look in to the matter and instruct the employee whoever responsible for solving this problem.

            i am a resident of vipin garden, kakrola morh, H.NO:325 which come under uttam nagar circle.only in our area everyday we have a power cuts of 6-7 hours.There are other adjcent areas where there is no power cuts at all.we have complained 1000 times over the phone & as well as we personally went to the office but no action is being taken yet.most of the time electricity comes after midnight.our area is not a theft area area but still there is a severe electricity problem.I request you to look into the matter & also reply me.

              Sir/Madam,
              This is with reference to the complaint against electricity bill. My meter has been burnt on 2-jun-09 and it replaced on 12-jun-09. I got shocked when I saw the bill i.e. Rs 5300.00 approx . As you can see the last 6 months bill i.e. from oct 2008, to Apr 2009 is approx 800-900. But for may- jun month it has rised very high. We thought that it will be reduced but it has crossed the limits. We are the domestic consumers not the industrial or commercial users. The electricity is used in the room which we sit. Therefore pl. correct the bill as i think BSES generated it randomly.Please reply us soon as we will not pay till the bill is not corrected. You can also see the previous bills, we used to get an average bill of Rs 800.00 to 900 for 2 Months.
              Please correct it immediately.

              The electric meter installed in the m/o April 2009 but the bill has not recieved so far. Although meeter reader visited the site and taken the reading.The detail is as under:

                This letter complains to BSES about POOR service on installation of sub transformer that stnads sanctioned in Meera Bagh, A block (house num# 255 -289)

                Hello,
                This is to bring to your kind notice that people residing in Block A Meera Bagh, Paschim Vihar 110087 (House num# 255 - 289) had been facing extremely severe & painful continuing problems with no resolution due to excessively low electricity voltage by BSES

                Few hours load shedding is definitely & fairly acceptable however recurring voltage shedding (day & night) is not acceptable that too to only 9% (33 of 361) of the residential society

                To your knowledge, earlier voltage fluctuated only during night hours (10pm - 3am) however, for the past couple of days voltage has started to fluctuate even badly during day time. This has increased our misery.

                The representatives of Meera Bagh, block A had been meeting Mr Birinder Singh (Nangloi, MLA - Congress) on this for the past 3 years & as per him BSES Sub transformer has already been sanctioned for almost 3 years with no signs of its installation.

                Upon further follow up with Mr Saini (BSES Zonal Incharge @ GH-9, Paschim Vihar) we were told that sub transformer has been sanctioned with no confirmation about its installation.

                Such a bad follow up for the installation of the hardware that stands sanctioned

                Is BSES waiting for people of Meera Bagh to pay for the installation? 3 years is a long time for the installation, isn’t?

                This is the clear example of Negligence on the part of BSES

                Residents hesitate using electronic gadgets due to the voltage fluctuation. It’s becoming actually painful for people of all age groups to stay awake till 3am & then start their day @ 6am again

                Please help me reaching the best executor who can help us getting this issue resolve

                We plan to raise the case in consumer court against the concerned authorities i.e. BSES for the same

                meera bagh — very very low voltage since last 4 YEARS

                Around 25 30 houses of MEERA BAGH are suffering from erratic voltage supply since last 4 years.our case for a new transformer has been cleared but is stuck up with CHIEF ENGINEER Mr Chander Mohan. our case no. is NA 08 SS-4043 NANGLOI.We have suffered great loss in terms of instruments and peace of mind. IVE BEEN SLEEPING WITH AC remote in hand and refrigerator switched off for last 4 years. KINDLY LOOK INTO THE MATTER URGENTLY.

                  Hi,

                  Would like to inform you that the power stealing is going on from electricity piller you have in front of Mahindra Associates in DDA L.I.G Flats, Jhilmil.

                  Some poor people who are living in there shades in front of vivek vihar police station, have connect a wire to that piller for electricity. I have heard that its done with the help to police and those poor people were paying them Rs300 for that to the police.

                  Would request you to take necessary action.

                    I am Nishant Prashar, S/o Radhe Shyam, resident of house no. 63(A), B-Block, Viaks Vihar East, Vikas Nagar, Uttam Nagar, Delhi – 59, CRN No. [protected], New K.No. 2650W7116296.
                    There was reconstruction of my house was happened from 25-03-09 to 19-06-09. I was unaware that I have to apply for the commercial meter for this. 2 BSES employees (Inspector’s) came on 06/05/09 at my place and told me that we cannot do the reconstruction work on Domestic Meter & I have to go to BSES office to apply the commercial meter for the same and said that I only have to pay the bill (On Commercial Rate) from previous bill onwards. I did the same & apply for the commercial meter on 08/05/09 and deposit the 1800 Rs. for the same. After the work of reconstruction I have again applied for the same Domestic Meter on 20/06/09.
                    Now, I have received the Speaking Order from BSES Enforcement Cell on 03/07/09 asking for the 17882 Rs. As per this latter (I have to deposit the Provisional assessment bill dates 21.05.09 in seven days after that I have to appear for the personal hearing at 09/06/09.But they have not received any response form my side).But sir, I have neither received the Provisional Order nor the Notice of Personal Hearing. So, how BSES can say that I have nothing to say. Has BSES inform me about that by latter or call?
                    Sir as per my last complaint against BSES (Change the faulty connection of neighbor as I am going to reconstruct my house) we had started the work of re-construction & repairs after the replacement of faulty wire of my neighbor i.e. 25.03.09. Also, I can provide the bills of building materials & latter of “Raj Mistri” to prove the same. So why should we pay the bill of before that at commercial rate? I also visited at BSES JANAK PURI on 03/07/09 and met Mr. Joshi (Manager), Mr. Amit and one of the employee who had visited at my place, they said I should be charged for the construction period (at commercial rate) only. But they cannot do anything as this case is handling by Enforcement Department. Moreover, BSES Janak Puri has refuses to adjusted my 1800 Rs which I had deposited for the Commercial Meter, as earlier they said that this amount will be adjust at my next billing after applying for Domestic Meter again. Sir we are living on the same address from last 10 years, previously we were using the electricity of MODI’s & now the BSES from last 3 years. This is 3rd time that BSES doing mental harassment of our family in last 3 years.1st they had tried to adjust the bill of some other person in our account in 2007 at the time of Demand Note 2nd the above mentioned complaint of faulty wire & the 3rd is now. Is this a revenge of our last complaints (there are construction work is in progress on domestic meters in our area, but the BSES has not take any action about them) or what. They are misusing our unawareness. I am ready to pay for my unawareness (ready to pay the current or construction period bill at the commercial rate).But is the amount of Rs.17, 882 makes any sense?

                      Sir,

                      We are having three separate connection at our place (CA/66, Tagore Garden) - the boy who came to take the meter reading had come a few days back took the meter reading of the two connection but he had not taken the meter reading against our meter i.e. CRN No. [protected] New K. No 2641 T5290020 stating that some data cable is required to take the reading. But till date none of the persons from BSES has come to take the reading. Though we had already made the payment of the bill against cycle no. 11/05 but due non reading of the meter - it will further develope complications and we had to pay charges etc. un necessary.

                      Shall be grateful if you kindly look into the matter and take further action under intimation to us.

                          We are gettting two low voltage to survive (almost no light). I have complaint several times but no lineman came or they never called me up to inform the status. The complaint was registered twice and as per the representative, it was forwarded as high priority complaint both times but I do not see any positive response. Complaint was status was showing as In process always. 8 calls have been made in 10 hours just to hear response that I will be getting phone call from senior officials in 10 minutes or line will come. All efforts have gone worthless. Due to low voltage, all electronic household devices are getting effected. Either there is no power supply at all or if the power supply is coming, it is too low volatge to run any electronic device. Shame on BSES and Delhi Government who has no direct complaint center to keep check on working of BSES or any other Government/Non-Government service provider affective life of consumers. They only know how to send heavy electricity bills but no one is there to care or listen. SHAMELESS CREATURES!

                            I am resident of B 27, East Guru Angad Nagar, Delhi 110092. Date[protected] at 1.00 AM our electricity voltage meter show 320 voltage in normal time this is 240 volt. Due to high voltage our homes cooler, inverter, TV, CFL tube was burnt and not working. We are call to electrician the item which is burnt repair. The repair bill he did not show but told per cooler 700 Rs.

                            So please suggest what should we do to compansate by BSES Yamuna. Delhi. which Head office is Nehru Place New Delh.

                            I approached to EE (E) East Delhi Shri C D Mal. He told there are technical falt and he did not do for compansate.

                              It is to inform you that there was a cable fault near the meters two months ago we the residents of LIG Flats No-121 to 132 (Block of 12 Flats) made a complaint. BRPL employees came and restored the electricity supply by giving joint in the main supply line to the penal box. There are two phases each phase supply electricity to 6 flats. Two month ago both the phase cable line were bursted, the BRPL employees said that one of the phase cable is entirely damaged and the other one is partialy damaged which needs 2-3 Feets of cable for giving the joint to take it to the penal box. That day they have temporaily connected one of the phase cable to the penal box and shifted entire load on the one phase cable. That day itself the BRPL employees ensured that they will come tommorow with cable and do the needful. But till today no one has turned up to do the needful. The residents are facing low voltage problem, frequent fluctuation and sparking in the main cable line and tripping etc.

                                This is with reference to our BSES domestic electricity connection (CRN No. [protected]) in the name of Mrs. Nirmal Kinra.
                                We had received a letter (Notice of Demand) dt. 19/06/09 (Ref No. [protected]) from BSES informing us o[censored]npaid due against our last bill due to some reason (cheque returned by bank) and that we should pay this amount either in cash or PO/DD within 15 days of receipt of that notice (ie last date 03/07/09).
                                Anyhow, as a good customer, we went to the nearest payment center (E-Blk, G.K. II, New Delhi) to pay cash. However we were sent back three times on some pretext.

                                To make matters worse, our connection was disconnected without reason (fuse & wire removed) last evening (25/06/09), 8 days before the 15 day period provided to us for making this payment.

                                We immediately went to the same customer care center but no one was ready to attend to us. We finally managed to pay today (26/06/09) morning and our connection was restored (receipt no. 65783 dt. 26/06/09).

                                We were made to suffer & harassed by BSES for no fault of ours.

                                  DAILY EXCESSIVE POWER FAILURE IN LAJPAT NAGAR-4, DAYANANAD COLONY

                                  I am a resident of BLOCK - B, Dayanand Colony, Lajpat Nagar-4.
                                  From the past 15 days there have been excessive powercuts, as much as 6-8 hrs every 24hrs.
                                  The powercuts occur at any time without any warnings or proper schedule.
                                  We know very well due to shortage in summer we have to face the powercuts but it seems that
                                  Block -B of Dayanand Colony has to face the maximum power failures.
                                  The situation becomes worse as there seems to be no proper schedule.
                                  The BSES Customer Care is also of no help as they never have any proper information.

                                  The condition of powercut is very frustrating and its becoming difficult to manage our
                                  daily lives without electicity.

                                  I request BSES to look into this matter as earliest as possilble because public is
                                  very angry and frustated with this slackness in service.

                                    An annoyed Consumer — Daily Power Cuts

                                    Hi,

                                    Whats happening to the power situation in Delhi recently. Everyday we are facing power cuts for 3-4 times in a day and for 1 and a half HOUR at a stretch.

                                    What is the Government doing for it. And we were told to believe that come 2010 & there will be no power cuts in Delhi. Cant see any improvement till now, though. Why cant we get a continuos supply like in Bombay when we are ready & in fact paying the increased tariffs. JUST WHY.

                                    Do the people in power have any Answers?
                                    Same is the situation in Njafgarh Area. The service provided by BSES is pathetic. No power in this area
                                    for more than 8 hours on daily basis.

                                    Power Cuts are very normal in this sector of around 10 - 15 yrs.

                                    BSES persons have no sense of Responsiblity . May be they are no 1 in this world to provide pathetic services.

                                    I am a resident of Tilak Nagar Area, Block 21. The Power situation is getting bad to worst in this area from last 4-5 days. Apart from ususal power cuts in the day that last upto 3-4 hrs. they cut light in the night as soon as you are in your bed, some times cut starts at 10 p.m. sometimes at 11 p.m. and last upto 4 hrs . Whole night we just wait that light would come and when after about 4 hrs a glimpse of light appears and we close our doors and windows and put on our Air Conditioner the Princes LIGHT says Bye Bye again. It is so frustrating and irritating that we feel like giving a punch to the person who is playing with the switches.
                                    Last night i.e. on the night of 24th they have crossed every limit. The Princes Light gone by 10.30 p.m. never came till 2.30 and then missed came again at 3.30 and missed again and finally came at around 5.00 a.m. with a voltage os less than 100.
                                    Apart from these the Stablizer placed in between Blocks 21 & 22 is unstable and witnissing a series of problems.
                                    IS ANY BSES Personnel there THAN
                                    WHY DON'T YOU CHECK IT, DAMN IT
                                    WHY DON'T YOU REPLACE THIS STABLIZER THAT CAUSES PROBLEMS EVERY NOW AND THEN AND CATCHES FIRE A NUMBER OF TIMES.

                                      I have filed four complaints with no. 8114, 1683, 7180 and 4706. At the time of logging following complaints its said by customer care guys that the problem of low voltage will be trouble shoot within one hour, but still no action is taken on these complaints.

                                      Its looks like employee are not working in BSES office or they are not worth of it.
                                      As a user i pay my bills on time and it my right to ask the service.
