I have been a tata sky subscriber for 9+ years. I normally re-charge my pack annually. This time i re-charged on sep 30th (1 day after expiry of previous pack). I paid the amount shown on the tata sky website through credit card. 2 days later, my wife and i started receiving calls asking us to pay extra since the package rate has gone up on oct 1st. Needless to say, we resisted. The phone calls wouldn't stop. On 3rd oct, i called them to speak to their floor supervisor, who listened patiently and admitted it is their fault and she will register a complaint immediately. However, the calls still wouldn't stop. My wife and i continued to get at least 3 calls each per day asking us to pay the differential amount.
Frustrated, i wrote a long mail to [protected]@tatasky.com with a detailed account on 5th oct (12 noon). There is no response yet for the complaint - but the calls asking for the difference amount haven't stopped.
When i asked one of the callers why they were calling when there is a complaint pending he blithely replies "we are from the"offers"dept; your complaint goes to a different dept. - we will keep calling".
Seriously?? How insensitive can you get? With the technology at their command, can they not flag my subscriber id and prohibit calls till the issue is resolved?
For every call, it's the same story. I have to explain the entire story and the caller will innocently ask me the same set of questions again and again.
Suggested resolution:
1) tata sky admits it is their fault - so why are you still calling? To begin with, please stop calling
2) give us an update at least once in 48 hours on the status of the complaint (It is now 72 hours since i complained, and there is no status-update except the automated reply)
3) if you can't resolve the issue, refund the re-charge amount less usage till date and leave me free to choose a different dth provider.
