I have installed a tatasky dish tv. My Id No is [protected]. I phoned tatasky to register a complaint ( no 1-[protected]). I was shocked to learn from the person from tata sky that I have a personel dish, whereas, I live in a society where there is a common tata dish and my cable is connected to the common dish.
I would therefore request that the individual dish be installed immediately.

Peoples are very much required this channel on TV, however the service provider do not take interest to add Lord Buddha channel in their packages.
I request on behalf of everyone their please add this channel into your environment.

Yes Lord Buddha Tv channel is requested to the cable operators, but no one listens to the said query.

Today I also requested the TATA SKY service provider to add the LORD BUDDHA as well as AWAAJ INDIA Channel into their list. Let see when they will avails it. Otherwise I will escalate the matter to the higher authorities.

      To TATA SKY,

      I received ICICI bank advertisement at home on offering of TATA SKY product. Based on the advertisement I initiated my query and request to TATA SKY help line at Pune. 1st time on 1st April 2008, I talk to Mr. Ajay for Hardware (my Order number is 1-[protected]). He told that maximum delivery time is 3 days, but he will see if it can be delivered in 2 days; mean while during transaction a telephone help line booking call gets disconnected. When I called again, I talk to Mr. Kunal and booked my order on ICICI bank Credit card and I was assured that hardware would be delivered in maximum 72 hours (by 3rd April 2008).

      After 2nd day late evening I started communicating to help line till 5th April Night. During this period I talk with your operators and Team Leaders named Mr Panse, Mr Hrishikesh and Mr Nair. No one could able to tell me about my hardware’s status and what would be exact delivery time-frame. I sent email to TATA SKY help line ([protected]@tatasky.com) and launch a complaint, even till today no one responded to my email nor even taken a pain to call me (my complaint number is 1-[protected]).

      During this period I have spoil my time and money on phone calls and talking to TATA SKY people who are just Puppet.

      All the way you have taken advance payment and its very surprising after taking advance payment, you are not able to deliver the hardware or convey me the status of hardware even till today (mean while As per my initial discussion with help line people and the assurity given for delivery, I requested my cable operator to cut cable line).

      However I got Local dealer details from your website, I call total 03 dealers near in my area and every one told me that they can deliverer the hardware in 2 hours to my home and Payment can be made after hardware reach to me. If your dealer can do this then I do not see why there is delay for direct order.

      Further I came to know from help line that after receiving hardware, again I have to put a call for Installation, which will again take maximum 72 hours (as per your marketing help line comments) for it.

      If you would be fair enough with the customer at the beginning and tell us that it would take 10-15 days the expectation can be build up.

      Now today dated 09 April 2008 at 12:30, a delivery person appears with hardware for delivery.

      Looking after their response, a service and decelerate in delivery from the beginning, I have lost my trust on TATA SKY. And I decided not to continue with them.

      Under ID [protected], i am holding "super saver pack" for which i have paid subcription upto 05.10.08 under invoice no.2196 dt.24.03.08 at Pune. However, channel like ESP, Star Sports, Tesport, Star Cricket and many other covered under the scheme are blocked. local no. given in invoice do not respond or they do not exist. Also, helpline is only interested to pass on commercial advertisement information but there is no way that one can put up complaint. Getting agitated with a kind of services provided.
      I am a Tata Sky subscriber.I bought the connection on 12-07-07.Now I got a problem that no signal output from setup box, therefore I am unable to view any prog on my Tv.I made a complaint on 05-06-08 through Tata sky websight and complaint ref- no.SRO[protected] and also tried four times to put complaint through tata sky help line no.[protected].The phone does not connect
      to anybody.only i here music even waiting for ten minutes.The ly charges are debited to my account but unable to see tv prog.

      we wanted to recharge the card on online with credit card.but there is a problem in it .we don't know the password .our ID number is [protected] and digi no is[protected].so we want to know the password used for this account.give reply to this or call to the no [protected]
      Web Site of TATA SKY is very poor and web page doesn't open at all to recharge online. It's like dead page. Better to contact over phone than opening the web page.
      I got my tata sky installed in 3 days and evr since have had absolutely no problem dealing with them.. i have spoken to their customer care and had no problems with them either.. and since they have updated their site it has been so much easier and efficient to handle my account.. two things tht are impressive about them are their service and the quality..

        Purchase Tata Sky from Online Help line on 29.03.2008 (ID - 1-[protected]) Online subscription amt is RS 2199/-As promised by the TATASKY executive the Hardware would be delievred with in three working days afetr repeated follow up (ID 1-[protected] and 1-[protected]) the hard ware was received on 11.04.2008.
        The cover indiactes the free voucher of 1000/- inside but actually they were worth of Rs 700/- only. I was told that by mistake the Rs 300/- are not credited to my account as the payment was made through Credit card.
        Still the Rs 300/- are not credited and I have to pay the extra Rs 300/- to avoid the disconnetion o fmy Services

        I want to discontinue optional active music pack on my tatasky which costs me Rs.35 Ihave also complained on phone no [protected] twice on dated 24/07/2013 at 9:46 AM & 9:55 AM but nothing happened fruitful. It seems they have turned deaf ears towards me.Customer service center's service is not even satisfactory.

          I have tata sky dish, digicomp, settop box. it was purchased in january 2008. the offer from company was, six month free telecast direct to home. but within four months, in april 2008 dish stopped receiving signals. Why? the engineer came from company, simpaly said due to monkey jumped on dish, stopped receiving signals. (there is no visible marks of monkey jump on dish). second thing after tries of 4 to 5 hours to check it, he said new dish should be installed for Rs INR 600/-. which i say is illigal. now, this money he hasn't taken from me cash. it was just cut against the remaining balance of 600/- (exactly) lying in account of tata sky dish (company) means now we enjoyed tata sky facility for only 4 months (in place of 6 months given by company) I say its a loot of 600/-.

            I have purchaged Tata Sky connection on 22nd DEC 2007 and got 6 months free subscription with it. Now in 3 months my connection is cut and it is displaying message that it is black listed. I have called to customer care also and they told that I tryed to take multiple connection with single set top box, but I dont know how it is possible we have only one TV in out home and also agent with whome I have purchsed the connection said that you can run only one TV with one set top box. I dont know where is the problem and what is to be done now. Please help us in resolving the issue.

            TATASKY is possibly among the worst service providers in the country. Firstly, they cheat on channels providing only a few worthwhile channels for Rs 300. The rest are all free and regional channels. Everything has become paid.

            Secondly, if your connection gets deactivated, it takes ages from them to activate it. I renewed my subscribtion yesterday (Sunday) at 6.00 PM. My Account in TATASKY.com shows the validation and also the validity period calculated from Sunday. The fact is that my TV is not receiving any signal because it says "please recharge your account".

            The Call Centre is useless. There is possibly one or two desks only in a Call Centre attending to TATASKY and you end up wasting huge time and effort trying to call them.

            TATASKY is a big blot on the TATA name and TATA should either improve their service or remove their name from this business effort.
            I 100 percent agree. very painful to deal with them . No services infact .
            My experiences with Tata Sky are PATHETIC. I read in one publication about Mr. Vikram Kaushik talking about setting a Gold Standard of customer experience. I am describing my experience here. Do please give a thought if this is worthy of being called Gold Standard.

            I got Tata Sky installed last month. The strength of signal and quality of signal leaves a lot to be desired. The in-built system test shows signal strength around 60% and Signal Quality around 50%.

            Within a few days, the signal failed on one of the out puts (The Set Top box has 2 outputs - RF and RCA).

            My repeated efforts to call Tata Sky Help Desk have resulted in naught. The Toll free number advertised on the Manual and Web Pages never get through. I took the chance of calling the Hyderabad No. on STD and each time was put on hold for over 30 to 40 minutes. The help-desk refused to take a customer complaint and insisted that they will pass the call to technical team. However in the same breath they said each time that the lines are busy and I got to wait. The wait each time was so long that I had no option but disconnect.

            The Tata Sky web-site is completely un-stable and crashes each time I want to register a complaint irrespective of the type of connection I am using. Perhaps it is by design.

            I called the dealer who sold me the connection and he mentioned that he faces similar issues while trying to reach Tata Sky. The dealer mentioned that they do not know any one in Tata Sky and deal only with the distributor.

            Finally one of the franchisees/dealers’ technicians visited my house last week and brought a box as replacement. The box they brought was not functional too and they called their office only to figure out that they may not have replacement boxes till this weekend. Over the weekend another set of people came and went back as they did not have Power Supply to connect the replacement box. (My original box came with in-build power supply whereas the replacement boxes do not have one). They tried using an old Laptop Power Adpater to connect the box which I refused to accept.

            I called the cable guy and re-activated my cable connection……..

            I kept visiting all Tata Group sites and to my dismay could not find any mail ID which reaches a person of authority in Tata Sky. Actually Tata Sky is not listed under the “contacts” section of the page. Even the mail ID "[protected]@tata.com" listed as the Tata Sons contact bounced back as non-existent ID.

            I am sure this is not in line with the culture of Tata Group. However, being completely in-accessible to customers is even worse for an organization.

            I wonder what to do and who to write to. Can anyone provide me Vikram Kaushik's mail ID? Or should I go to consumer Forum? Please advise...
            THESE GUYS ARE HIGHWAY ROBBERS, THEY HAVE THE MONEY IN ADVANCE AND CAN RESORT TO ANYTHING, I AM WAITING FOR BSNL TO START VOIP SO THAT I CAN LEAVE THESE CHEATERS AND GET BACK TO SOME DECENT PEOPLE, HOPE BSNL REPEATS IN VOIP WHT THEY HAVE ACHIVED IN BROADBAND
            I guess I am one of the rare 'customers' who has started having problems with Tata Sky without even using their service!

            I purchased a Tata Sky set top box last week (28th Aug 2008) for INR[protected] plus 1000 towards installation) and the call center executive said it would take them 4 working days to courier the set top box.

            I received the box on Tuesday and on calling Tata Sky to schedule the installation for Thursday since Wednesday was Ganesh Chathurthi. Thursday came and went.. no engineer turned up for installation despite the call center 'guaranteeing' the installation the same day. BTW, it was the Engineer who guaranteed that he would be at my residence at 5.30 PM

            Friday (today) came and went.. and the call center did not even have the courtesy to apologise for not turning up on Thursday. I had to call Tata Sky and despite my several calls during the day and being put on hold for atleast 10 mins each time, the engineer did not turn up.

            And today when I asked them to cancel the subscription, these call center coolies had the audacity to put the blame on to me stating that i had agreed to schedule the installation for Saturday (tomorrow)!

            As my teacher told me, companies drive customers away by making them "Kashtumers"; Kashtam in Tamil means pain!

            If Vikram Kaushik of Tata Sky or any top management employee of Tata Sky feel you deserve these fat pay packets and salaries... know one thing, it is the customer who pays your salaries and be grateful to them. Most customers dont expect 5 star service.. but a basic respect for purchasing your product and addressing their concerns.

            One thing can be rest assured... I WILL NEVER HEREON RECOMMEND TATA SKY TO ANYONE ELSE.. I WILL RIDICULE THE COMPANY AS AND WHEN I GET OPPORTUNITIES!. You guys are a shame... I just cant understand how you people are able to sleep at night by giving middle class salaried people a harrowing time

            I am having 3 connection of Tata Sky under subscription id [protected].
            Recently i had taken up a new connection
            I noticed that while the installation of the same, your executives had charged me Rs. 200 for extra wire, even after charging Rs. 500 as installation charges whereas the distance of the new connection is less than the existing ones.
            Then why should i be charged extra? I was not even informed of the extra money to be charges. They just debited my account.

            This is a matter of great concern to me as a customer

            I request you to kindly reverse the charges of the same and oblige as soon as possible.

            i have subscribed a Tatasky connection three months back. now it shows an error message "The tatasky digicard is not aurthorised". Can anyone help and advise me.
            Generally i get my issues solved easily by their customer care.. however u may also try leavin a complaint onlin via my tatasky account.. hey will revert to u within 24 hrs..
            Tata Sky is simply making false claims and doesn't keep any of it's promises. I purchased the entire package online on the 15th of July 2009 (STB + installation + 1 month free subscription - Super Saver package) and the installation guys came in 2 days later to install the DTH system. I additionally paid the engineer Rs. 200 (Rs. 100 for the cabling + Rs. 45 for Lifestyle Gold package + balance towards my account). Since 19th July there is no signal and I have a message that my card is UNAUTHORISED and that I need to recharge it.

            I have called the customer care (which is useless - they have a bunch of hopeless there). Also registered online complains in the My Tata Sky section and even called the local person from where the engineer was based, but there is no action and no one knows what is going on. This is ridiculous!!! I am really regretting purchasing Tata Sky and will take this up with the company as they are my clients. But my advice to anyone considering DTH - stick to your local cable operator (at least they are service oriented!)

            I dont know why the tatasky service has been worst. Because i have an tataskybox with oneyear warranty, ie warranty for one year including box plus cables. but now they are charging the cables even in warranty period. now the reputataion of tatasky is very frustrated to customer.the brand refers quality.

            Another major problem is migrating mpeg4 box. now box shows error2 for sometimes after that box works after that same error 2 problem.please rectify that.

              Sir,
              We joined Tata Sky with high hopes but it is really sad and surprising that we are not shown some of the free channnels like "Peace TV" and "QTV". Inspite of requests we are deprived to see these channels as all the other free channels like "Sadhna", "Sanskar" are all shown from the very beginning.IF such disparity is shown unintentionally even then people will be bound to think of seome vesetd interests. It is my humble request to show us the above mentioned channels as people everywhere are dying to see "Peace TV" and "QTV".

              We are very disappointed with Tata Sky for not telecasting channels such as Q tv, & Peace TV. I have been waiting to have Tata Sky eversince it has been started, but just delaying my decision owing to absence of these channel.

              This is my humble request tp start these channels ASAP & am sure Tata sky's subscribers will be increased spontaneously.

              Why u r not providing Islamic channels (PEACE TV and QTV) for muslim peoples. Although u r providing so many religious channels except Islamic. So many times i planned to buy tata sky but cancelled due to not providing Peace TV and QTV. So many people can get service of tata sky if they get their favourite channels.

              It is totally a lose for Muslim people who have already baught Tata Sky. Because None of the Muslim channels are shown in Tata Sky. After receiving so many requests from Muslims, Tata Sky doesn't want to add those FREE channels. I would be cancelling the service from next month.               6.Its being broadcast from India(Mumbai) itself!

              Do they know that Muslims form the second majority nationally as well as internationally.
              TataSky is a national player and they should know that

                TATA Sky DOES have VERY lousy customer care. i JUST don't understand how they recruit personel who do not understand english. I got a time-slot for getting an installation done for 10:30. When i called at 11:30 and spoke to one Jitesh Kulkarni, who spoke very slowly, and ended it by cliaming that the security guards had prevented the installation chaps from entering. I went down, and asked the security people, and they denied anyone had come, at all. Anyways, the gentleman assured me that he would call me, which he DID NOT, and so i called again, at 2. I spoke to some woman called Yogita, who refused to divulge her FULL NAME, and stated that the installaton people could turn up, ANY TIME, during the day. She seemed quite lost, and when i asked her for her full name, or the name of the Customer Care Manager, she started acting funny. She refused to give either of the names.
                I CANNOT believe, that the TATAs are out to run organisations, of world standards, when their customer care management, is NOT in place.
                Also, if there IS an option for language, and one choses English, is it TOO much to ask, that the customer care executive speak SOME english.

                this is sashidharan tatasky dish holder in chennai. my previous address is 10/9a abiraami nagar main street, chennai 92. i have shifted my house bef 20 days in the same area called sanjay gandhi nagar, 2nd street, virugambakkam. they have installed for a new connection on the same day of occupaid. they have asked me for more 800 rs as instalation charge including wire charge. accidently the same day we met very bad fire accident at our house.luckyly we our family safely escaped. but all our good are burnt in fire. we had nothing with us.we have registered a complaint on the house owner other day. they have given f.i.r. copy. after a huge unlucky experiance. we have shifted our house in the same area addressed new number 50, akshaya apartment, first floor, kaliyamman koil street, west natesan nagar, virugambakkam, chennai 92. we had your connection for more than one and half year. so we need the tata sky connection again. we have lost the set top box in the fire. we are having the remote .my customer id is [protected]. so as a valuble costomer, how can we joined again as a customer. we are not in the position of giving you new deposite. so pls mail me and call me and tel the next step and consider our request. we request you to give a new connection without any deposite. call me and tell the detail, customer name -r.sashidharan. cell number-[protected], customer id [protected].

                  since last week I have been requesting them to relocate dish from previous address to new address and they have made me mad firstly they said to fax about merging when i did my job again they said you have done the wrong thing again do the needful fax again when I have done it they again said now talk to the customer department when I had a talk with them they said we don't know anything please help me out beacuse they are charging for another connections everyday without giving us any service and moreover they are making customers fool and now they said that's connections you have to discard and you have to take another connections.
                  As a big service provider we are facing poor services.
                  I am trying to change my existing package to "Family pack" + "LifestyleGold pack"
                  but on the net it only shows south jumbo pack. Secondly your dealer donot help they just sell the voucher.
                  I tried on toll free no. from bsnl phone. It does not respond.
                  Then I made std calls of more than Rs.30/- but interactive message and when taking help to talk customer representative, voice goes off.
                  Your website was not responding when i log in it takes long time and page cannot be displayed.

                  Hardly I accessed the site and after recharging with Rs.310 on 2 june 08 at 9.45 PM with netbanking, it is not showing the balance. Please check the same.

                    Dear Sirs,
                    I have installed Tata Sky in the last week of October 2006' and there was some problem in September 2007' when their engineer came and there was some direction problem with the dish which was rectified by them and i was being told that you will not be charged since you are covered under warranty.
                    But when i received their December 2007' statement i was surprised to see that they have charges Rs.300/ as visit fees.I had immediately contacted Tata Sky people but they refused to help me out in this matter.

                    TATASKY and the DTH technology in India is ridden with bigger cheats than the cable wallahs.When they first came to India-advertising that you should rid youself of the cable 'goons', I never realised that we would have to fall prey to the handsof national mafia named the 'TATASKY'. After all TRAI and the authority have not fixed any celing on the charges/channels etc, so the DTH operators have taken customers for a ride with not just their poor service(no signal during rains etc) but also with their overcharged 'packages'.

                      This is Regarding the bad service made by TataSky Television channel network. I bought the TataSky satelite system on the first week of March, at that time their Customer Service Representatives assured that the channel cost will not be increased and it will remain same for the package given by them at that time, but later the Network War between TataSky satelite services and Dish Tv Satelite services they were forced to cut some channels, but they havent reduced the tariff at that point of time. But in the recent days they are asking more money to view some channels but they are not giving any reason for price hike and they are stopping the broadcasting of the channel, for these issues I have requested the reason to Tatasky Customer care servie and even I have sent mail to them regarding these issues but they haven't given any proper reply and solution to these things. One more strange thing happened today is they Suddenly discontinued the Active Sports package today without any information. But it was gien them by free of Cost even you could have seen the advertisement when they entered in the Market. Since we fall in The CONDITIONAL ACCESS SYSTEM AREA, I have gone for TataSky Satelite Service but now they are behaving indecently by not replyin for any of our queries and hiking the price as much as they can and one more thing in the CONDITIONAL ACCESS SYSTEM is that the subscriber must pay the price only for the chanels he/she wants to see but TataSky Satelite services asking money for whatever chanel they provide for eg. I dont need the Chanels in Marathi, Gujarathi, Oriya, because I am in Tamilnadu but they are relaying all the channels and asking money for it.

                      So I request you people to intervene in this issue and helpus to overcome these issues faced by the people like us.

                      I am hereby sending the Trai Directives to the Conditional Access system and the last mail which I sent to Tata sky ustome Services.

                      TRAI mandates itemised billing for cable TV

                      NEW DELHI: In a move that will usher in transparency in the cable television segment in metros, telecom regulator TRAI has asked all multi-system operators (MSOs) and cable operators to provide itemised bills to all subscribers in metros. This means that the cable bill will now have details such as the price of each pay channel, bouquet, and set-top box rental in CAS areas. In short, your cable bill will now look somewhat like your cellphone bill.

                      So, if you are a CAS subscriber and use the set-top box to watch pay channels, you would be given a single bill which would be generated by the MSO and not the cable operator. The bill would be generated monthly and would indicate details such as entertainment tax and tax registration number of the MSO.

                      The bill would indicate the amount the CAS subscriber would pay for subscribing to a single pay channel or the bouquet of pay channels. If it’s a bouquet, the name of all the channels viewed would be indicated in the bill. Also, details about monthly charges for set-top boxes and amount of each type of tax levied would have to be disclosed in the bill. The MSO and the cable operator cannot promote different schemes of payments, TRAI has said in its directive.

                      In case of a subscriber in non-CAS area, the bill would be generated by the cable operator and not the MSO. The bill would also be itemised and carry the same details as a bill for the CAS subscriber. In both the cases, whichever party generates the bill is also responsible for delivery of the bill and collection of payments.

                      With subscribers facing problems due to faulty billing system and inconsistent service quality, TRAI has directed that the MSO would be liable to maintain quality of standards, including arrangements for handling complaints and redressal of grievances of the subscribers. The regulator has also asked MSOs and cable operators to furnish details about compliance of billing rules before the end of this month.)

                      Tata Sky — advt. on the cost of consumer.

                      I had a grievances against TATA SKY 's unbelieable policy.
                      their service helpline No.[protected] North India ( infact i dialed this only, it may be on other number also)
                      . it is not a toll free number.
                      . if we dialed they put you on hold for very long time.
                      . instead of connecting to the executive they starts automatic voice recorded version of their upcomming or existing packages and product.
                      . consumer are forced to listen their promos/advertisment on the self cost. because it is not toll free number one has to pay STD charges ifdialled. ie. I have dialed the same on 19th of may08 for with complaint No.[protected]. it took me more then 30 minutes to follow their direction to setright the complaint, two calls, even then not rectified and ultmately they booked complaint with above no. and send the executive on the addl. cost for the visit ie.Rs.300/- ( so I paid 300+ all the charges on phone ) this cheap methods are amount to unfair trade practices. It is suggested that seniors may look into it.

                      I'm going to sue them for other reasons too as I have 5 faulty boxes replaced one after one within 4 months of services...

                      I request you guys not to purchase there package of rs 40/month and protest agains them...go for the legal action and tell them we can not be looted anymore...no monopolies.

                        I have subscribed for TATASKY last week and paid the money through credit card. they said it will be delivered within 4 days. but i have not received it even on sixth day. when i called the customer care they said its been delivered.

                        i was shocked and shouted at them. then i threatend them i will go to consumer forum, even then they wer not able to give me proper answer and they are not able to find out wat is the mistake....

                        Hi TataSky,

                        Let first let me share with you some hard facts.

                        DishTV subscriber base is 2.1 million versus Tata Sky subscriber base of 0.7 million. DishTV offers 170 channels (and increasing) versus Tata Sky 100 channels (and decreasing). Both charge same price Rs. 300.

                        I am subscriber of Tata Sky for over 5 months....

                        TATA SKY Customer Service is WORST in the whole world. We ordered Tata Sky Dish from online after watching the ads they show on TV that they have Number One Customer Service in India. But the very next day a service engineer told us that our dish can not be installed because there is No Line-Of-Sight and he assured us that you just call Tata Sky customer service and your money will be refunded in next 2-3 days. Then our saga of harassment and frustration began, every time we called their customer service number, they told us 'sorry for the inconvenience', which they never meant by heart and assured us that next day someone will come to pick up the cable box and then your money will be refunded back to you in next 3-4 business days, Which Never Happened till now and we have spent already so much money in calling their STD numbers from our land line phone and lost so much peace of mind and energy. I wish we could File a Joint Law Suit against Tata Sky and claim such a hefty amount from them in penalties that they should go Bankrupt. It is this kind of Customer Service and Frauds because of which India is going to suffer a lot of loss as there will be no one trusting Indian Business companies and ultimately its a loss to the whole country.

                        TataSky — Connection / refund of money not given yet

                        I have booked a TATASKY connection through their call centre on 15th december (customer transaction ID 1-[protected]) and paid Rs.1999/ through my credit card. They have promised to give connection in 4hours through sms (I still have that sms in my phone). Then they said 24 hours. Then 72 hours .Inspite of many calls neither they have delivered the instrument nor my money back How can I get my money back
