I had purchased fastrack model spectacles on 29/05/2014 from Titan eye plus, Chembur, Mumbai store. The spectacles had a replacement warranty period of 6 months. After 5 months one of the weld joints in the frame opened up and hence I claimed warranty replacement of the specs to the same store from where i purchased it. After a week or so the company representative told me that the frame is no longer in production, hence I would not get the same frame as a replacement. Instead I was told to select another frame which can match with my existing frame lenses. None of the frames in the store were found to be matching with my lenses. Hence I asked the representative to either get a replacement of the same model frame or provide new frame with new lenses. In reply the representative told that they can't provide any of them and I would have to select frame which ever available with them. Already 1 week has passed and I have still not received any confirmation reply from the company
I would like to point out that if Titan gives a 6 month warranty on frame and at the same time the same frame gets discontinued within less than 5 months. How can I claim back the replacement warranty.
I would like to take some strong action against the company which attracts customers with such fake replacement policies which can't be fulfilled when actual replacement needs to be done. Was this information helpful? |
