Ihad two Fds in the name of my daughters. Tired of everyday rumors of bank getting bankrupt I went to withdraw the FDs from the bank only 16 days prior to its maturity. I was supposed to be given ROI @ 9.5 % for 590 days but to my horror they gave me interest @ 5% after all the deduction where as their representative keeps us telling that only 1% penalty is deducted from the amount. It is a huge hidden loss.

In India there is no strict in law, laws are there to break not to follow, if this words as been read by any responsible person, they should take an action, to earn a ruppe 2day its very difficult but 2day peoples does day time robbery in front of everyone, RBI should get very stict norm for this kind of peoples, atleast by then our India will improve better

    ICICI — two wheeler Registration not done yet

    i have purchased Bajaj Discover vehicle through icici two wheeler finance. my finance account no.LTTRU[protected]. my vehicle purchase date[protected]. i have submitted all the documents which is required for registration. but these fellows are not doing my vehicle registration. i went many times to sri ram enterprises, tirupati. where i have purchased the vehicle. i asked about my registration there that fellow named mr.raju is saying that we have not yet received our money from icici bank. you go and get me the details of payment. then only we give your papers for registration other wise give our vehicle to us.

    but i am paying regularly my monthly emi. i walked many times to icici bank , tirupati branch. no body is responding.

    it is getting very very late.

    please look into the matter and do needfull. and take necessary action against sri ram enterprises and icici bank.

      I have an existing ICICI bank account with their JP nagar Branch in Bangalore.The bank has deducted an amount of Rs 112 twice for a single statement availed by me.When the customer support was contacted they gave a false reason saying that the statement was taken twice once on 12/08/08 and on 20/08/08 when in fact i had taken only one statement on 12/08/08.The bank did not revert the amount.Subsequently i decided to close the account.After paying 281 rupees towards the same and handing over my ICICI cheque leaves and the ATM debit card i observed that the account has not been closed even after a month.At the time of closure request (06/09/08)they acknowledged the closure (after payment of 281 rupees towards closure)with a acknowledgement receipt and assured me that the account would be closed in 2-3 weeks.Since the account was not closed by the bank even after a month i registered a complaint regarding the same
      After lodging a complaint with customer support and through my netbanking support the customer support contacted me saying that 500 Rs more would be required towards the same.When questioned why wasnt this intimated when i had earlier visited the branch in person on 06/09/08 for closure request they reverted back saying that i would be required to co-ordinate with the JP Nagar Branch.

      I have been harassed too long by this ICICI branch at 75/A, 100 FEET ROAD, 6TH PHASE, JP NAGAR, BANGALORE, 560 078.KARNATAKA.My patience has been really tested by this fraudulent bank

      ICICI Bank — Refusal to close Bank Account

      I have an ICICI Bank savings account. The account has been nearly dormant for over a year now. Now that I wish to close the account, the bank tells me that I need to clear the debit balance which has been generated in the account. At the time of the account the opening, I had been clearly told that the account is a zero balance account. The account opening officers name is Mr Bagaria, who used to work with ICICI Bank Nepean Sea Road branch. If you expect me to clear the negative balance, please show me any of the correspondence made by the bank stating that my account has in sufficient funds and I have been charged a penalty for the same. There have been no statements sent to me over the past 1 year or more. Also, when I personally visited the branch the manager told me, he shall check and revert to me for the closure, but no action has been taken on that front. Now they expect me to pay the debit balance and then only are the willing to close the account. Please advice

          I had closed my bank account with 100 feet road JP Nagar branch Bangalore which is also my base branch on 06/09/2008 by attending the bank in person.I had been asked to pay 281 rupees towards the closure of the same after the payment of which i was told that the account would be closed in 2-3 weeks time.After about a month i still find that the account is active.When the customer care was contacted for the same and a complaint lodged regarding the same[protected] stop the cheques[protected] Account has not been closed)
          they responded saying that i still dont have sufficient funds in my account and that 500Rs would be required to close the account.This was not intimated to me at the time of account closure when i went in person to the bank.

          The closure request has been acknowledged by the branch with a receipt and it was assured that the accoutn would be closed in a time of 2-3 weeks still the account has not been closed.

          Earlier the bank had debited an amount of Rs112 twice and when a complaint was raised in this regard they responded falsely saying that i had availed the bank statement twice when in fact i had taken a bank statement only once.These fraudulent techniques have left a really unpleasant image of the bank and i really would refrain from doing any transaction with the bank in near future.

          I want to bring to your knowledge that the ICICI bank and its Chairman, the Wholetime Directors, Officers and staff members, having office at Videocon Tower, 2nd Floor, Block E-1, Jhandewalan Extn., New Delhi-110055, have cheated me and are depriving me of my hard earned money and have breached the trust, which an innocent and fragile lady like me had in an institution like ICICI Bank. Since the Bank and its Chairman, The Directors, Officers and staff are very powerful and resourceful and I being a fragile lady, am being harassed also.

          The fact of the matter is that in December, 2007, I decided to buy a car and the representative of the bank lured me by his sweet talks and I being gullible lady came under his influence and applied for a loan of Rs. 6, 57, 000/-. The terms of loan as told by the said representative were as follows:

          1. That Loan shall carry the interest of 8.75% per annum.
          2. That based on 8.75% the EMI for 60 months works out to Rs. 13, 664/- per month. (This information/calculation was believed as correct as it was coming from a bank like ICICI bank).
          3. That I have to give one advance EMI alongwith the application for loan to the seller of the car.
          4. That I have to pay Loan processing charges of around Rs. 3500/- and which payment shall also be made in the name of the seller of the car.

          Accordingly I signed the blank booklet containing various documents and paid the required charges, advance EMI and the difference of the cost of the car and loan amount to the seller of the car. I received the car and after a few days, I received an amortization schedule (repayment schedule), the terms and conditions and also a pamphlet from ICICI bank,
          which amortization schedule showed that the loan amount is 657, 000/-, after adjusting Advance EMI, the principal outstanding is Rs. 6, 43, 336/- and after paying first EMI consisting of principal amount of Rs. 8, 898/-, instead of reducing the outstanding amount of Rs 643, 336/- by Rs. 8, 898/- i.e. to Rs. 634, 438/-, the principal amount was consciously inflated to Rs. 644, 293/- in such a way that the mischief/criminal intention cannot be detected unless the document is thoroughly studied.

          Also inspite of my various requests, I have not been provided with the copy of the agreement, which was a part of the booklet which I had signed blank.

          Since the amortization schedule had come from a big bank like ICICI bank, I did not check the amortization schedule thoroughly and started paying the installments, which I am regularly been paying intime till date. On one day, when I was going through the amortization schedule, I noticed the abovesaid discrepancy that the principal amount outstanding after the payment of first EMI due on 10.02.2008 is inflated by Rs. 9, 855/-. I thought that it must be an error and therefore I innocently and immediately brought this error to the knowledge of the bank and the bank instead of rectifying the error sent me a fudged/falsely created document stating that there was an element of some charges amounting to Rs, 9, 855/-, therefore the principal is inflated. However in the said document, the bank correctly mentioned that the loan carries an interest @ 8.75% on the loan. I then calculated and found that not only the principal has been inflated but the EMI is also inflated. I brought this also to the knowledge of the bank through Ms. Namrata and Mr. Karan Singh (employees of the bank who were attending to my complaints) and requested them to rectify that error also. To my utter shock, in a further attempt to cheat me, the bank sent me yet another repayment schedule mentioning that the loan carries an interest rate of 9.41% per annum to justify the amount of inflated EMI. Surprisingly the EMI remained same even after change in the interest rate on the same amount of principal and for same tenure, which only shows that the bank reversely calculated the interest based on the amount of inflated EMI and came out with the figure of 9.41%. Also the interest rates on loans as 9.41% are unheard of because the interest rates are usually like 8.75%, 9%, 9.25%. 9.50% etc. and not 9.41%. This act of the bank, its chairman, managing director, directors, officers and staff clearly shows the criminal intent to cheat me.

          From the above, you will appreciate that when I inform about error in the balance outstanding principal amount, the bank brings out a new story of charges of Rs. 9, 855/- and when I inform about inflated EMI, the bank comes out with another new story that the loan carries an interest rate of 9.41% as against the original rate of 8.75%. Also on each of both these occasions, I am sent a fudged document. So all the three documents sent by the bank give different versions/stories and it is obvious that the documents sent later are fudged documents and an afterthought. The first document is designed in such a way that the fraud is not apparent on seeing the statement, and not known until or unless critically examined. This clearly shows the ill design of the bank, its Chairman, managing director, the wholetime directors, officers and staff of cheating and depriving me of my hard earned money for their illegal gains. Also they must be cheating other innocent borrowers in the same manner and such a fraud is least expected from such a big bank.

          It is pertinent to note that at the bottom in the very first document sent by bank, it is written that the first EMI (I.e. EMI due on 10.02.2008) includes Rs. 0.00 towards charges. This shows that if there were any charges, it must be the policy of the bank that the amount of charges, if any, would have been shown there. The fact that the charges mentioned as Rs. 0.00 clearly
          show that there were no charges and the bank in a bid to cheat me is giving wrong/fudged statements and sending me one fudged document after another.

          Also the clause 9 of the terms and conditions of loan supplied to me with the very first amortization schedule mentions that the advance EMI can be adjusted by the bank at its sweet will. The very first amortization schedule (repayment schedule) shows the principal amount outstanding after adjustment of advance EMI as Rs. 643, 366/- which is correct as per the proposal as told to me by the representative of the bank. Had there been any element of any further charges, it would have been reflected in
          the very first amortization schedule supplied by the bank. Also if there were any further charges then the balance principal would not have been shown as Rs. 643, 366/- as the bank had all the liberties of adjusting the charges, if any, from the advance EMI.

          Inspite of my repeated reminders, the Bank, its Chairman, being the Principal Officer of the bank, its managing director, the wholetime directors, the heads of car loans at the head office and the Delhi office, the other concerned officers and staff are bent upon cheating me and are not afraid of creating/manufacturing fudged documents and can go to any extent in cheating innocent persons.
          ALL BANK ARE WASTE PLEASE DON'T GO FOR ANY .. LOAN/CARD.

          I got ICICI Coral credit card one month ago. The caller from ICICI credit card call center told me that this card will be free of cost with no joining fees and I will recieve a gift voucher worth Rs 5000. Noe in this months statement I am charged a joining fees of Rs. 560 and I haven't recieved any gift voucher. This is a fraud.

            This is in regard to the charges levied at various petrol stations while using a Debit/ Credit card for purchase of Petrol.

            The charges are levied based on where you fill the petrol. For instance if you use an ICICI debit card at an Indian Oil pump then you have to pay a charge for it ( they have tie up with HPCL)

            Similarly if you use Tata SBI cerdit card at HP station there will be an extra charge.

            These charges will not be levied if you pay in cash.

            Can the consumer forum address the issue and provide a solution?

                i have transffered 500 pounds from my local HSBC account to ICICI Account in Lyods TSB bank in UK For the funds to be transferred to My india account for my fathers but ICICI Bank is claiming that they have not received the money from my HSBC Bank. since last 20 days they have asked me several times to provide different different type of informations and asked to wait for 48 hours every time but till now it is not solved and my funds are blocked.

                ICICI Bank — casual attitude

                On 01may08, my friend Aarvi Arrutchander made a cash Rs 5000 deposited in jamnagar branch but erronouesly it deposited in [protected] (ATM Card) instead of my savings account no[protected]. The staff at the counter who was reckless while depositing the money even didnt check the whether the name and account number matched. After depositing the money my friend proceeded on leave to Tamil Nadu. He comes to know the money didnt receive by me after three days. Then he visit to nearest ICICI branch in Arcut city Tamil nadu. and then contact the customer care even though the money didnt reversed to my account. The branch demanded for the deposit slips counter foil which was the only proof and assured to be forwarded to the jamnagar branch on 26 may 08. but still no action has been taken now when i visited the jamnagar branch the agaiun demanded for the counter foil and they are spoken to us very casually. They accept the money has been received in 01 may 08 but they donot take any step to solve the problem. They again said to follow the same procedure on 20 Jun 08. Iam very much depressed towards this kind of casual attiude. nowadays iam very much in requiirement of money so make the process quikly. My mobile number [protected]
                I have already closed my NRE account and everything was done by NRI Officer of ICICI bank and after a month i got an email for penalty charge because my account was nil. I already closed my account and it was still running. I had very bad experience with ICICI bank. They took three months to transfer my money from HSBC bank to ICICI NRI account. I never ever recommand this bank to anyone. Very very bad customer service, lack of knowledge and very bad attitude towards customer.
                I have a very bad experience opening an NRI account. The customer service is very ignorant. I mean I just don no understand how many times I have to FEDEX a document from the US to India. Spent about $200.0 only for Fedex to send responses to their queries and still no response. I guess they work with a casual attitude and that is what is going to kill their business eventually.
                A shame on ICICI and its operations. I got stuck with ICICI and still not successful in opening and account after 3 months of back and forth.

                  The ICICI Bank took a post dated cheque for payment of EMI towards loan repayment for Rs.10, 157/-After a few days they again approachedd saying that the interest rate had been revised and as such a fresh cheque was required for rs.10, 766.
                  Instaed of returning the previous cheuq they have used both the cheques and withdrawn EMI twice for the same month.The query to them remians unresolved

                          Yesterday there was a transaction made by my card by an unknown identity of Rs. 9957.10 on my card at MATRIX INTERNATIONAL. But it is shocking as i havent used my card yesterday, i have also placed my complaint to customer care. This also occured few months back, somebody used the card and i made the complaint. Please assure that this doesnt happen again and ensure my safety, failing to which i shall be closing my card.

                            My experiance is not less dramatic. I have filled the application form for opening a new account with Vidhyadhar nagar branch, Jaipur way back on 09.06.2008. but after too much follow-up and persuation I was asked to fill a fresh form on 18.07.2008 and I have no information about opening of the new account and more than 01 and 1/2 month have passed. The guys working for them are not pain taking and work as if working for some state govt. and not for a Bank.Further I have been informed that the form has been rejected. I don't know why such Banker has been asked to work with Religare and no other option for zero balance account is being provided despite complaints

                              I made requests to ICICI bank on 28th Feb.2008 and, again on 7th March, 2008 to deactivate my credit card service for I was sick of their poor service. They refused to do it and bet. 15th Apr. and 18th May two fradulent transactions of almost 3, 200 INR through net, of which I had no knowledge till I received monthly credit card statements/invoices. I refused to pay them for the Bank Ombudsman scheme of Reserve Bank of India to regulate Banking sector has provion for accepting complints against the banks if they refuse to close the account of customers.

                              An exchange of mails went on for the next four months. The most non-transparent of dispute resolution mechanism of the ICICI Bank decided against my complaints without any logic offered to me. In such cases ICICI dispute redressal ssytem assumes the role of a judge when the allegation is gainst them only. What could be more ironic than this of corporate terrorism.

                              I could not convince myself for paying the disputed amounts, which were fraudulently transacted. I also could not take take their harassment done through sms, dozens of threat phone calls- means of corporate terrorism. I launched complaints to Reserve Bank of India that regulates all bank in the country.

                              Their big bosses started calling me to negotiate the amount which, if I pay, they will waive of the rest of the disputed amounts. Their revenue collection unit called twice in august, to tell me first time that my disputed amount has been waived of, and I need to pay Rs. 200; and second time that I still need to pay Rs. 190 more. I have their mail confirming receipt of my Rs.200. Then another call comes around 4th Sept. of Ms. Neha apologizing for the entire incidents and negotiating on Rs. 1000/- to give NoC and settle the issue. When I refused to give that also they sent reply of my complaints to RBI with a bundle of lies, which I was able to expose through all the emails as a proof I had saved for five to six months.

                              The RBI has called me to meet on coming Friday (i.e 10th Oct., 2008) with all evidences. Let us see whether truth wins or the public sponsored corporate terrorism. Will keep you posted.

                              But while processing this loan a/c, ICICI Bank compelled me to buy their Credit Card as you have availed loan from ICICI. So I bought it, again I got a courier from ICICI Lombard General Insurance which contains that we have opened a policy of Family Health Plan for you (Policy Number is 4034/FPP/02911191/00/000). This was happened without my consent and I did not signed on any document for this policy also. I tried number of times to cancel this policy, but they did not do the cancellation process and collecting premium amount through my ICICI credit card a/c without my permission, and sending monthly statement which mentioned that you have to pay certain sum of amount within the specified date on or before and torturing me over the phone, otherwise we will file civil case against you for non payment of specified amount even after I got a Policy Cancellation Confirmation from ICICI Lombard and also given requisition for closing of ICICI Credit Card by submitting broken pieces of my credit card. Still ICICI Bank torturing me to pay the amount of Rs. 4800 on or before 21st Oct 2008 for ICICI Lombard General Insurance. I need help and expecting suggestion for this issues lest I psychologically affecting health.

                              (4)That the daily limit of withdrawal of SBOP ATM is Rs.25, 000, but the receipts shown that Rs. 35, 000 is withdrawn from account. it is impossible that amount above Rs.25, 000 is withdrawn from SBOP ATM. I have retained all the receipts for valid proof. So i have noted the complaint in State Bank Of Patiala but they said this problem would solve by ICICI Bank. I reached your branch situated at Bibi wala road, Bathinda, Punjab for this complaint but they refused to solve this complaint. I again reached SBOP Bank for this complaint then they noted my complaint and told me that they would send the letter to Bombay because at Bombay there is the Head office of all ATM's. But till now this problem is not solved.

                                My mom and I have a joint bank account with ICICI Bank, Khairatabad Branch, Hyderabad.

                                We opened a 560 day Fixed Deposit in March 2007 with ICICI Bank. They promised us 9.5% interest rate upon maturity (October 2008). Because of rumors of bank's bankruptcy, we decided to withdraw our fixed deposit twenty days before the maturity date. Before withdrawing the fixed deposit, i spoke to their customer care center regarding the procedure and charges.

                                Their representative informed me that there are penalty charges of 1% on premature withdrawal. But when we actually went and withdrew the fixed deposit, they charged about 3.75%. The amount credited to my account was way below what we were expecting.

                                When I tried to ask them, they were saying that they are paying me the interest rate on the date of deposit. This particular clause was not mentioned to me before opening the Fixed Deposit nor while closing the Fixed Deposit. We were not properly informed. Had they informed this to us earlier, we would not have gone for premature withdrawal of the fixed deposit.

                                I think we were denied the basic right of comsumer - "The Right to be Informed". We have the right to be protected against fraudulent, misleading, and deceitful information or advertisement or labeling.

                                I had deposited my Salary Chegue bearing No. 435355 Dt.2-3-2009 at the Andhra pradesh Secretariat ATM Counter ( Counter No. 1621 of the ICICI Bank)- since there were no Deposit Slips I depopsited along with a plaibn paper giving full details of my Account Number, etc. on 2-3-2009. To my dismay till date it has not been depoisted in my account. I approached the Security persdon cum supwervisor/wacthman Mr. Jitender Singh who was very unhelpful and brusquely told me that he does not have any details of to which ICICI barnch the ATM is affiliated or where the Cheques get collwectwed. he neitehr had teh names onor teh contact numbers except telling me to contact the Custemer Number[protected] I tried but this category of non-deposit of ceheques does not fall in teh ambit of teh said custiomer Contact number. I tried enquiring at the ICICI Karkhana Branch twice -yesterday and today They verified and told me that the Cheque has not been deposietde. I tried lookibng up the Internet for any Contact phone number of ICICI Khairtabad branch (since presumably this is teh nearset to the Secretariat ATM) but none of teh 4 telephone numbers wer working. In desperastion I asked teh ATM Superviosr for complaINT bOOK WHICH HE GAVE ME AFTETRWARDS. i LODGWED A WRITTEN COMPLAINT TODAY AND AM ANXIOUS TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO MY SALARY CHEQUE.HERE'S HOPING THAT ICICI BANK WOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE NECESSARY ACTION THROUGH THIS SITE.

They are polite, but they do not know the procedures. They tell us to ask customer care and customer care tells us to ask the branch employees. I'm disgusted with this bank.

So far there has not been a single instance of the ICICI reducing the interest rate and they're only too willing to hike the interest rate, at the slightest mention of it by RBI.

                                  ICICI Bank is one of the worst bank to deal with whether its bank accounts, home loan, Credit Cards, or some other products. I really have never heard ICICI bank reducing interest rates from last 4/5 years. RBI should strictly look into this matter and save customers of ICICI bank. I started my home loan in 2003 @8.00 and now ICICI bank is looting me with interest rate @14.00. When you contact them they have standard answers like you have opted for floating rate and PLR is taken into consideration which is as per government and RBI rules. God please help ICICI Customers.
                                  I have the same experience i am going to contact BankingOmbudsman .
                                  I too agree about ICICI bank looting people by enormously increasing home loan rates. When RBI increased their REPO they revised it immedietly but when it went otherwise nothing is being considered. I am too prepared to switch to different bank who are transparent and honest. I calculated for 16 Lack Loan amount, I could still save 5 Lack throughout loan repayment tenure if I switch to another bank, which is significant enough to take a firm and no second thought decision. "Ham Hai Na" is there to loot you and make you bankrupt. I hope Mr. Kamath might be understanding the feelings of customer and make his banking system transparent enough to get good feel factor amongh million customer who feel that they are trapped and looking for alternative.

                                  This is the first year I did not receive the same since last five years. I hope you will be promt as you were.
                                  The ICICI is never going to reduce the loan rates for existing customers. They are the biggest cheat in the country. KV Kamath, the ICICI head and CII president is the number one crook...he speaks in the public that banker should reduce the interest rates, but his bank never reduce rates. There cheap strategy is to give loan at low rates to new cutomers and increase thereafter immediately after some months. They are openly cheating the customers of India. This is really pathetic that both RBI and Govt does not take action against there crook activities. The best think is all the customer of ICICI should protest aginst the bank in the front of RBI building, this will force the RBI to hear the ICICI customer problem and media will also get active. All the ICICI Home Loan Customers should transfer there loans to public sector banks. I know the ICICI create problems if someone tries to transfer there loans to other banks.

                                  Everytime ICICI management says, we are watching the liquidity situation and will review the rates later on and then they never reduce the rates. This is just to divert the attention of the customers and the media. Irony, is that the KV Kamath says different thing and Chanda Kochar says opposite of that. This is because KV Kamath is the head of CII, he always says good thing but never delivers that. Funny part is he is saying banks should reduce rates, but his ICICI is not reducing the rates. I dont understand, why the cost of funds are not coming down for these private banks despite huge Repo Rate and CRR cuts by the RBI. They are just fooling everyone and earning huge interest income by not reducing the interest rates.

                                  ICICI Home Loan — NO REDUCTION IN HOME LOAN RATE

                                  I had taken the loan at 9.25 and now paying back with 12.75. With every rise let it be CRR or Reverse REPO or SLR or any other the ICICI had shown a promptness in increasing the rate of interest for Home Loan(they never felt the need to do the impact analysis). Now when RBI had reduced the CRR by 3.5 percent and Repo is around 7.5 % ICICI is just pretending to do the Impact Analysis (I really doubt they are doing anything)
                                  Now ICICI had reduced the rate for new customer only even though when RBI has asked ICICI to reduce the PLR which will benefit both old and new customer.
                                  I have a strong feeling that ICICI has incurred a huge loss in their foreign operation and to recover from the loss they are now charging such exorbitant interest rates to their customer just to make sure that at the end of financial year they will be able to show the maintained cash reserve (if not good) in their Balance Sheet.
                                  They have stopped two wheeler loans and reduced the other loans as most of defaulters are from the same category; this is surely hurting their Credit Rating.
                                  But what i am more surprised about is why RBI and our finance honcho are like PC & Mr. Manmohan is not doing anything in this regards.
                                  If such thing goes on India is not far behind of Middle prime (Situation like subprime triggered by Middle class salaried person by intentionally being the defaulter of Home loan)
                                  Request you to please look into this and do something in this regard or guide us to take this kind of extortion from ICICI up to the appropriate law.

                                  Even if ICICI announced interest cut now i understood them very well.It is always better for late than never.
                                  I am customer of ICICI bank taken home loan as on year 2004 paid regular installments but on 2008 at end only after request i got full details of my paid amount.I had taken loan from my native icici aurangabad from that branch only i will get information like this type of rules are telling others branches, also most of cities no Post paid installment facilites.Address changed faclities should be through internet but still not available.

                                  Housing Loan — Lack of transparency

                                  I am running housing loan from ICICI and the charges the loan officer is charging is nowhere documented and they refuse to give any thing in writing.
                                  Avoid ICICI Bank for housing loans.
                                  It is the same story with me too and when i had availed the loan all went so fast and they disbursed the loan so quickly to impress you.There after there ulteriour motive starts by squizzing you to the core and extract as much as they can.Even after writing a mail the Then Deputy Managinf Director and present MD also there is no response from them. I have sent a long e mail to make them understand how they were cheating me.Still no response and i have decided to switch to some other Banks like HDFC.
                                  This is Deepak from Chennai. Whatever you told is absolutely true. I also took loan in ICICI in 2006 @ 7% pa but now repaying at 12.5%. When the bank increased the rates when other banks did, it is liable to decrase the same as well when other peers do.
                                  Also RBI has no control with any of the banks. The concept of "floating" means fluctuations as per market conditions. Now the banks are reducing the interest rate for new loans but nobody is caring for existing loans. The concept of "floating" doesn't make any sense at all.

Moreover, the system is totally opaque...if you want any information like the current roi u r being charged, its like banging your head against a brick wall!! I have been a customer since 2007, and have been trying to get some information for the past 2 months, in vain! Maybe its because of the uncompetitive rates they are charging. I think, like u said, ICICI reacts to rate increases the very day RBI announces them, and to rate cuts, NEVER!!! Maybe existing customers should get together and demand a rate cut, and a transparent system.

                                    Dear All,


                                    This is Srinivasan A @ Babu running Garment business (Archana Garments) at Hosur and have an Account[protected] with your ICICI Bank for the past Six years and its a current A/C with meerchandising facility - MID number 50202272 / TID 59286684.

                                    Intially, I was getting good customer responses during my transactions and inturn, I still have ICICI brand loyalty built with me.

                                    In past couple of years, really the customer services are very poor and I am thinking of going for an alternate.

                                    Recently, we are receiving many shocks related to debiting our account for considerable amount with out my knowledge.

                                    I believe in good grievance redressal and called for your customer care and received no answer but with some wrong commitments like it will be credited again.

                                    As escalating process, I went to Hosur ICICI main branch directly, and asked for my clarifications with reference as statement printed from ATM.

                                    My both Enquiries are very simple, like 1. what is the transaction called 22/10/2008 D BLR[protected] & 22/10/2008 D MID[protected].23. second query why the transaction approved by ICICI on 06/10/2008 Rs 20000 with appr code 689511 ref num 407 is not credited still. But I am frustrated with their response saying " It will happens some time" . It is not a question of ICICI on fraud way but it is your responsibility to clarify us on demand where other banks like HDFC succeeds.

                                    As a next escalating process, I have called a responsible ICICI Manager, Mr John at his mobile [protected] as per my advocate suggestion.

                                    I have not received any response still from ICICI and finally escalated to your level.

                                    Based on your action plan, I will proceed legally to get my compensations and also will think of close the relation with ICICI.

                                    Also tried to make complaint as per grievence redressal step 2&3 and found all complaint links were disabled.

                                    Is it possible to you bank to debit any amount without customer notice???? How many times it happened to my account (we operated with huge money and never verified??...
                                    We simply believed ICICI.

                                    Is it a professional way that ICICI works. Now I am forced to believe the rumours heard about ICICI in recent past.

                                    I am now afraid to make any MID transaction, until the issue is resolved and assure you that I can make legal actions against ICICI Bank for the breach of trust & poor customer care.

                                    Seriously affected by ICICI poor customer care,

                                      I have a salary A/c with ICICI. on[protected] I saw my account is debited with Rs. 28.00 twice on[protected] with the Particular"ATM/POS DECLINE CHG/[protected]". I emailed to ICICI and they said this is due to insufficient fund at the other bank's ATM. Is it correct? Is is customers problem that the bank atm has no money. What shoudl I do?

                                      ICICI Bank — deduct my money as insufficient amount

                                      i drop SBBJ cheque in icici bank, i have sufficient amount in sbbj account. but icici bank deduct my money as insufficient amount from my icici bank account.
                                      please help me and i am mentally disturb.

                                      My account is also been deducted thrice with the same manner the above person had, i.e "POS DECLINE CHG". If other ATM dont have the money, then its bank problem but not the Cusomers. We are using that facility becoz banks providing that. If other banks wants to charge for this, the Bank in which we have the account should pay them. Why should we fined for the this???.

                                      I hold salary a/c in ICICI bank, my is Debited with 28/- Rs stating POS DECLINE CHG/12-MAY-09/6053 .it was happend 11 june 6 time it means (28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28).sir it is my hard work mony so please return my mony.                                       Same problem.they have deducted 28/-. Is it wrong with ICICI or Customer.whats wrong with ICICI i don't know.
                                      This bank is just ridiculous. Their customer care does not know how to talk to its customers. When I called up their agents, they told that this is mandatory and VISA is actually charging this fees. They deducted Rs.28 on 18-Jun-2009 for a transaction I did on 5-May-2009 or atleast this is what told to me by the agent. I asked him if there is a RBI guideline, he told that all the terms and conditions will be there in the website and its our duty to read it everytime. Atleast I could not find out any information about this charge in their website.

                                      This is ICICI bank, one of the worst bank trying to loot money from the customers in every possible way they can. Better go ahead and change your account to some other bank, else this bank will come up with every creative way to deduct our hard earned money to keep them afloat in this recession. They will never inform us anything, but will continue to levy some fancy charges and debit our account and after some point of time, we will ending up losing all our hard earned money to this modern day dacoits.
                                      I also face the same problem, so every one flood your complaint to RBI.

                                      The same problem with my a/c as well. Deducted the same money saying tht is POS Decline Chg.Rs.28. I really dont have the track how many times they have deducted something or other from the account balance..

                                      Today ICICI Bank charged me 28/- as an 'ATM DECLINE CHG' after I made a cash withdrawal from IndusInd Bank. There was no warning/intimation during the withdrawal. Hope ICICI Bank is brought to book for cheating its unsuspecting customers.

I could able to see in my account is debited with Rs. 28.00 on 10/07/2009 with the description of “ATM DECLINE CHG/09-JUN-09/7854 ". I come to know that is due to insufficient fund at the other bank's ATM. Is it so? If other ATM bank has no money, how will you deduct from my a/c. I did get any intimation for that time of withdrawal also. If no money means, why it was not shown any information and why it was allow me to take the amount.

                                      There is one thing added there which says Debit card transactions which are done without having money in the "Card holder's account" is Rs. 25/- per transaction.

                                      I found this 4 times in my account, and called up ICICI. They checked it. The person who had attended the call was not very happy about the call, but I kept pushing them and pushing them, and finally got it sorted. (For the records, I didn't get my money back because it was my own mistake - I had swiped my credit card checking for funds, and because it's linked to my bank account, the money was taken).

                                      My case would be a one-off case. What I would suggest is, in case you suspect multiple transactions which you have/have not made, insist for full details. Sometimes they give all kinds of "golis" that the system is not working, etc. But in such cases, ASK FOR A COMPLAINT NUMBER (service request) to be registered to get the full details, and keep a track of that the next time you call them. Banks are supposed to have a record of all customer related transacitons at their hands - because it's our money we trust them with.
                                      Oh yes, and one more thing - it's not 28/-, it's 25/- as written in that page. I'm getting a complaint registered with them, and you should do it too.
                                      I have a salery ac with ICICI bank and 10/8/09 i used hdfc atm to withdrow cash.i did not get cash and latter when i chacked with ICICI atm, it shown that re which i had typed in hdfc atm is dedeted from my a/c.
                                      You can file complaint with consumer court or Ombudsman This is not as per RBT regulations.

                                      This happened to me also.Really, this is very bad, How can they deduct like tht. there is no assurance for icici acc holders. tomorrow they can deduct how much ever they want also. They should be giving some open statement or email or letter for this. as we all knew icici is not a good bank they obviously do not do that.

                                      hi, my account also debited 28 Rs for the same. My point is we should know that bank is going to charge for this while useing other banks ATM. we should have the imformation that this will happen if we use this ATM
                                      ATM DECLINE CHG is done when we try to withdraw cash more than what we have in our account. And it is done only when we try it from any other ATM than ICICI. Hope this helps you mates!
                                      Even my account is debited 10 times (28*10=280Rs.)... with the description "ATM DECLINE CHG" i dont understand, what exactly this charges are... any one here have any idea of it... ICICI bank customer care is clueless...

                                      Working in IBM. I am having salary account in ICICI bank.. and this is ridiculous that deductiong amount from the consumers if the bank is not having sufficient money..

                                      If the bank ATM is not having money.. then there should be some display in the ATM screen. In what way a consumer can be punished with this..

                                      I guess, through ATMs leaving it empty, Bank keep earning more..rather than serving the people..
                                      I have been deducted 6 times in all. This is just not right. I stay abroad and my wife is using my ATM card back home. When she calls them, they say, they will not be able to provide here any details, as it's not her account and when i send them email through their online banking website, there is no response.

                                      This is atrocious and unauthorized and totally not acceptable.

                                      yes same happened with my account as well(POS DECLINE CHG), i dont know how much money ICICI has made like this.
                                      Even i have a salary account no.[protected] from last two years. Same POS charges are deducted from my account three times on 21.05.2011 same day. If iv use another atm machine they can only deduct one time charges not for three day. what the hell they are doing with the customer? Their customer care representative dont know how to talk politely and moreover they are dumbos.
