Second time faced this problem as I almost missed my train at banglore as meru has no commitment toward its customer despite booking cab a day before and accepted by them the cab didn't came as I booked the cab for 24/05/15 to dwarka delhi thru genie and recived a sms stating your booking has been upgraded to meru but soon after the driver called and spoke in a intimidating tone that he is not coming as my booking is in genie company always do transfer loss making trips to him and aked me to cancel my booking in threatening tone and I called their customer service and they couldn't contact the driver and showed their inability to do anything as they didn't have any cab so I have rush looking for a auto in peak afternoon of 45° with my old mother I have lost all my trust on meru / genie who has no concern with poor customer but their profitability and have no control on their ill manner unprofessional driver

    I booked a meru cab for last May 17th (Chennai Central to My home). The cab didn't reach Customer care gave a number (Driver name: Ashok) that fellow didn't pick the call. I called the customer care, they said no cab available. THIS IS THE SERVICE LEVEL IN CHENNAI SO, PLEASE DON'T BOOK THIS MERU CAB IF YOU REALLY WANT TO TRAVEL THEY ARE NOT RELAIABLE THIS HAPPNED 2 TIMES WITH ME AND MY FRIENDS

      Today I had booked a Kolkata meru cab service(Booking number[protected] from Behala to Howrah as I had a scheduled train at 12:40 PM. I booked it way ahead for 9:45 AM pickup. Generally they send the details of the driver 15 mins prior to boarding. When I did not receive a response, I called the the service provider in their customer care at 9:40 when they informed me that the cab would be delayed by 15 mins. At 10:10 when I called they said that the cab was cancelled. Thereby I had to book a different Cab from Ola and that caused a major harassment. I was travelling with my father in law and sister in law with 3 kids, of them one of Autistic. My sister in law missed the train and finally I had to stop through an emergency stop. Police logged a complain against me and we somehow managed to not un-boarding the train and visit the police station. I am on the train now, and the police noted down our berth numbers and have told that we have to pay a hefty fine. I would like to sue Meru for the mental agony, harassment.

        I got lured by their promise o[censored]sing the Citrus Wallet as I could withdraw my balance easily! So I did download their App and transferred money. To my horror, when I withdrew the balance, I found that the amount is promptly shown as NIL while even after 2 weeks, there is no credit to my bank account! Worse, after my more than 5 follow ups Meru/ Citrus has still been telling me to wait. What a joke! I consider the money donated to the beggars called Meru and their partner Citrus Cash. I do not intend to go to Consumer Court but I shall definitely spread this cheating business by both Meru and Citrus Cash.

          Booked Cab from Meru cabs on 9 May 2015 for Sunday, 10 May 2015 at 6:30 am, booking reference number[protected]. My brother has to attend comed K entrance exam but 20 minutes prior to arrival time these guys are sending message that there are no cabs available ?? This is how you run this service?? It's not India's number 1 cab it's India's... no Worlds worst cab service

            I booked Meru cab at 4.40pm on April 30th 2015 from Bommanahalli, Bangalore to Majestic railway station.Half an hour before travel, I got the message that driver will come, but after sometime driver told he cannot come because he can reach only after 1 hour. Although I booked 2 days in advance, I found the service unreliable since they should have informed me if there is any delay from the drivers part, especially when going to railway station to catch train. Now comes the Worst part 1. I was planning to travel with whole family and small kid and I was in deep frustration how to reach railway station, if I miss it the train fare will be gone and face rebooking hassles. 2. When I called customer service, surprisingly nobody was picking the call for half hour 3. Finally, after half an hour, customer service is redirecting to Bombay call center, and then call getting disconnected, this was happening multiple times and again 15 mins lost. 4. Finally, when I got the right person, they cannot find alternate driver to pick me up, even though I told the wholes story. 5. The final frustration came when I got email from Meru Cabs about the trip receipt that was never made.The distance was wrongly written as 58.7 km, (actual comes to 13kms, from Bommanahalli to Majestic) shows how much trouble they want to create.When I called customer service again, I was told it could be due to system error which is unbelievable.                 REF: BOOKING REFERENCE NO. 38295222 DATED 18-APR-2015 TIME: 05:30 -MERU FLEXI CAR No. DL1YE1241 – CHAUFFER:JAMSHED – MOB: +91 [protected] SUB: NO CAB PROVIDED DESPITE CONFIRMATION Dear Sir, A cab with the above details was booked in Delhi for 05:30 as I had to go to the New Delhi railway station to catch Dehradun Shatabdi, dep: 6:45. I waited impatiently till 5:35 in the morning although the cab is supposed to arrive at least 5 minutes before the booking time. From this time onwards my frantic calls to the chauffer Jamshed began successively and I have lost count of how many times I called him up in vain. This so called Jamshed did not bother to inform me whether he would be coming or not nor giving me ample time to make alternate arrangement. Till 6:00 there was no sign of him. I was so nervous and dejectedbut had no way out. Finally I had to cancel my important trip to Dehradun as I did not have enough time to book another cab and the fact that the distance to the station is about 20-25 km and the time taken 45 minutes (approx.) I had on an earlier occasion faced the similar dilemma as well but ignored it. It is now well established fact that Meru cabs are untrustworthy service providers. I am going to inform the public at large through various forums that they should never trust the unscrupulous Meru cab services, especially if they have to board the flight or destined for railway stations where time is very crucial. They do not realize that a passenger who has booked cabs especially to go to the railway stations or airports are in dire constraints of time – each and every minute is very crucial. They lack the basic courtesies and manners of social conduct and polite behavior. I have decided never to book Meru cabs in future and that is the end of it. I WISH DOOMSDAY FOR MERU CABS !!!                   Hi, I am located in Hyderabad (AP). I booked a meru genie cab from raheja mindspace to gopananpally in the first week of february 2015 through mobile app using a discount coupon code of 200 or 150 INR. When i checked the status of cab there, i found that trip was already started by driver without picking me up. When i informed meru call center about this, i was sent a meru cab for which i ended up paying around 350 INR and was already late for my destination. I raised this concern with meru and was told that their customer relations team will contact me, for which i have been waiting for over 2 months. every time i talk to their supervisors in their call centers & they promise me to get my complaint resolved. but i have been befooled by them everytime.

                    Following is my mail to Meru: Dear Sir, Very humbly with due respect consider my complaint and request appropriate action. On 10th April 2015, I booked Meru from Kandivali to Koparkhairne from my mobile app for services to be availed on 13th April 2015. Looking at your exciting 30% cash book offer, I refilled my wallet for 3000 on 10th April itself and booked journey for 13th April . This means my wallet balance was 3256 before 3 days of the journey. On 13th April, your Driver arrived on time and it was conformable journey altogether. The moment journey ended, the driver told me to pay cash INR 761. It was technical fault from your end due to which money did not got deducted from wallet balance and I was supposed to pay cash. Reasons for complaint to consumer forum: • When I called customer care they insulted me saying that they were helpless and I cannot step out until I pay (have call recordings – will be produced to court); • When I gave call to driver, your customer care executive told not to leave customer unless he pays; • The driver took me to Police station wasting my 1 hour instead of me requesting him to wait so I can get money from my client where I was supposed to get dropped; • This strategy of 30% cash back is only to show people and break market competition; • You could have deducted money from my wallet later when I gave an option that I will write a mail to meru allowing them to deduct and only then I will leave from car; • After a lot of efforts and wasting lot of time, I was able to convince that I can beg from client and pay the driver. I will soon forward you consumer complaint no. and file a suit for loss of time, reputation and respect, fraud for not allowing 30% cash back with all relevant documents and phone recordings. The copy of this will be sent separately to leading newspapers all across country and my company who regularly promotes Meru. I will make sure that none of my friends, colleagues, relatives, family members and all those innocent customers who reads my article and who were given wrong 30% cash back promise, will never ever book Meru.                       I successfully booked Meru GENIE in Later booking which Reference no. is : 37748224 for pick Time 6:45 AM on 6th Apr 2015 from Source: H. Nizamuddin Railway Station, Delhi to destination : Sector 62 NOIDA. Taxi Did not reach on time, and I still waited for the cab till 7:00 AM in morning. I tracked him on track my cab feature, It was not moving. After that I called Genie taxi driver whose no. is +[protected]. He told me that his taxi got stuck So he already called Meru Customer center for arranging another Genie taxi for me . I waited for another 10 minutes but no body called me from Meru customer center. And after that when i called to Customer center the person told me that he can not provide the Genie taxi at all, but he can send another Meru Cab and I will have to pay addition increased rate for Meru Cab charges. I explained him that I wanted to have Meru Genie ( of course less costlier than Meru) that why i already booked for it in Advanced, So please arrange me the Cab on the same cost. But there was not good response from customer center. :-( Because of all this discussion i wasted my more than half an hour on Station, Apart from that i also faced lot of problem with my family at station because of this unexpected and sudden cancellation of Taxi. I would say thanks to OLA to overcome me from all this problem. I booked OLA cab afterwards and they send the Cab within 5 Minutes. My question is How can I rely on Meru service in future, If Meru can not provide the cab to their customers even with the delays as well, even If customer book the taxi in Advance. :-( Shailendra NOIDA [protected]

                        I have Rs. 300/- in my wallet before starting the ride. The ride costed me around Rs. 473/- and to my surprise, Meru sent me a message stating that the transaction was unsuccessful because of insufficient balance. I called the customer care and they have asked me to use pay now option in the app to pay Rs. 473/- and the same amount has been cut from my credit card. But the chauffeur called a number and it seems they are unaware of this thing and asked me to pay Rs. 473/-in cash and my online payment would be refunded in 12 hours. But it hasn't. I called their customer care for 12 times in 2 days and they keep disconnecting my phone after speaking 10-15 min. I have wasted around 150 rupees on calls itself. They have the worst cab service, worst customer care - simply said, a mind-numbing worst cab service provider MERU.

                        Apr 11th - I have been assured thrice already by their customer support representatives that I will receive a call back within 24 hra everytime I call them. But, Meru is so awesome it doesn't call me. I have called around 20 times by now and have wasted more than 250 rupees on the same. Kudos to Meru cabs for your service. Fantastic!

                          I booked a cab. Cab driver said it will take him longer than estimated time to reach pick up point. After asking exact location of pick up point, he called and confirmed he has reached. But when I came down, I found him no where. On calling, he simply said call customer desk. When I called customer desk they said the previously booked cab is nowhere in my vicinity. They are sending another one in 20 mins which was happened to be 1 hr after first cab's estimated arrival. The second one also was no show. I had to cancel my travel plans. Thank god I was not catching train or flight. First booking had a one time use promo code which also went away with it. Icing on the cake, meru had the audacity to even deduct Rs 189 for the cab ride which did not happened. After spending almost 1 hr with customer desk being pushed from desk to desk paying for these calls from my phone balance, I was at last the unworthy customer who did not get his ride or even a call back, got money deducted and had to cancel weekend day plan.

                            This is one of my worst experience with Meru. I had booked a cab for 5.30PM. They sent me the driver information at around 5.06PM. But the driver was not picking up the call at all. When I called the customer service at around 5.30 PM, they told that an alternate cab will be arranged and the confirmation will be sent on SMS. But I never got the alternate cab also. Pathetic service. Booking id: 37417068

                            What is the point in regretting? Fortunately I was able to get a taxi from another Cab company at the same time.
                            But, what if I not got another taxi?
                            Why are you accepting the request if you cannot provide the service at the scheduled time?
                            I have decided not to use Meru any more.

                                Hello sir, My sis took a meru genie on 14 Feb from Dayanand colony to Gurgaon. Meru charged me with Meru plus rates which is almost double of meru genie charges. They charged me somewhere around 750+ where in the orginal cost would not be more than 400+ On contacting customer care i was told i will receive a call in 48 hours but i have not received any calls instead they mail me and say it was informed that genie was not available and meru flexi will be provided at the said cost. but nothing of such is true. I have a sms from the stating that charges will be applicable as per genie i sent them the same still no response and a similar mail comes after 48 hours mentioning the same. This has been regular from Meru and they dont respond to customer complaints. I have attached meru reciept and the sms sent by them. Request you to please check the same.                                   we had availed for the MERUCAB .Booking Ref. No.: 36675720. booking mobile number[protected]**./{Driver details -Name-Subhas Bag, mobile no.-[protected], cab- WB19F8969.) It is very unpleasent to inform you that two of my lady co- passenger had been extorted of our valuable money by a unfair means by driver under stated, stating that "MERU 150 coupon" not applied & due to that u have to paid 150 rs extra also" and so we had to pay amount of 283 without any proper bill issued against it..please refund my 150 rs to my saving bank account not cab account immediately otherwise i have to knock the door of CONSUMER FORUM.Hope you understand the urgency..i[censored] want i can share my account number and bank name.dont refund meru cab account because i never never use meru cab, its not safety for lady and also cheating .please please its not a matter of money its a case of cheating if you want to improve your business then just sack all of these kind of cheat driver.

                                    I booked cab on 7th march 2015. . But driver said me he cannot reach the spot at the required time. This happened after the confirmation done by Meru. In spite of this I booked meru flexi for which charges are more. I agreed to book Meru flexi and the call center execuitve agreed that no convenience will be charges. But on reaching the destinon, i found the bill included convenience charges also. I requested the driver wait for few min utes to sort the issue with call center. But he as not ready to wait and sarted abusing me. And this type of behaviou with Meru is not first time.

                                    I have already registered 3 complaints, but I did not get any response. How can you say as unacceptable. I am the person who faced the issue. This particular driver challenging my capacity by saying to take auto or ola cabs. Such ridiculous drivers is hired by Meru.

                                    Also it had happened earlier also. Drivers come at their convenient like the auto driver or don't come only. They don't even take the call. Finally we need to call center and wait for next cab.

                                    If you are genunily interested in solving the issue, why no reply for my complaints raised. How are you going to repay the excess fare collected from me. My Booking reference is[protected].
                                    Kindly repay the convenience charges collected.

                                        Booked a cab to pickup at 10pm for a female friend, however at the last minute the answer from them was cancelled or they are trying but there are no cabs.. then y did they booked it..and that was 2 hours before..Is this the good way to treat the customers..When told its a female who is waiting for cab and its already night 10 which is really not safe now a days and if they want they can send a cab to the destined place which they dint ..they hardly care about it..if we are late while boarding cab then they charge us extra but when they are not providing cab not even calling and informing anytng then that becomes very very frustrating.. Therefore i log a complaint against Meru cabs @ Hyderabad for Misleading the customer, making false statements, not tracking customer and cabs location.
