Dear Team,
I, samarth kothari, had received a credit note for a few thousand rupees (greater than 5000) on 10/10/2021 but the same is somehow misplaced.
On visiting shoppers stop andheri west, Mumbai outlet today ie. on 30/01/2022, I was told that if the credit note is mis-placed, i will be required to submit a bond paper of Rs 100 which came as a complete shocker to me. To avoid such a situation I had clearly mentioned to the staff person who had attended me in October, 21 to kindly send me the mail of the credit note so that i dont have to go through all this if i lose the credit note. Thankfully the staff personneI did share the credit note and I do have the mail (received from shoppers stop official email id) with the credit note dated 10/10/2022. Inspite of having my name in the credit note and willingness to provide my kyc document as well i was still asked to get the bond paper which is a complete bummer.
How and from where do you expect a customer to get a bond paper on a Sunday afternoon? This procedure is cumbersome and really ridiculous.
Do let me know a way around this or else i will not refrain from reaching out to the top management.
Awaiting a revert/call back on this ASAP.
