On 21st April, 2013, I bought 2 tickets for the 5:30 PM show of Hindi movie Ek Thi Dayan worth INR 549.44 at INOX Forum Mall (Elgin Rd, Kolkata) using BookMyShow iphone application from my personal number [protected]. I made the payment through HDFC netbanking. This transaction was made between 4:20 PM - 4:30 PM. Screenshot of the same is attached.
Booking history of the BookMyShow iphone application showed the seat numbers booked GL - Q-16, Q-17. But the booking ID was missing. I also did not received any SMS in my personal number about confirmation of the booking.
Since I was travelling to watch the movie, I did not get any chance to call up the helpline number to inform about the missing booking ID or that I did not receive SMS confirmation of my booking. I also did not felt that necessary as the booking history mentioned ticket numbers (GL - Q-16, Q-17) provided above.
I produced the booking history through BookMyShow iphone application and payment through HDFC netbanking application to collect the tickets at the INOX Forum Mall ticket counter but they refused to issue me tickets as my booking history didnt showed booking ID.
Hence, I had to buy 2 tickets for the 5:30 PM show of Hindi movie Ek Thi Dayan worth INR 500 at INOX Forum Mall (Elgin Rd, Kolkata) again.
This time I paid with my VISA credit card and I got the tickets (GL, Q-14, Q-15) from the counter. Screenshot of the same is also attached.
I also noticed that the seats which showed in my booking ID (GL - Q-16, Q-17) for which I was refused being issued tickets at the INOX Forum counter, were also occupied in the theatre.
Thus, I end up paying the price of 4 tickets INR 1049.44 (549.44 through HDFC netbanking for transaction through BookMyShow iphone application + 500 through Visa Credit Card at INOX Forum Counter) and watched for 2 tickets.
Yesterday morning, when I checked my email, I could see the booking id in the booking confirmation mail that was sent after yesterday's transaction through BookMyShow iphone application.
Since, this has happened due to problem with BookMyShow iphone application not generating Booking ID and not sending SMS confirmation against my booking in my personal number, I had requested BookMySHow to please refund me the price of 2 tickets INR 549.44 that was charged to me through BookMyShow iphone application.
I then called up BookMyShow helpline number and explained the entire incident. But they replied that they will not be able to help me on this.
Please request you to investigate this and bring this to closure. Hope this will be resolved at the earliest.

The matter of the fact, on receiving the update regarding the cancellation of the event FLY Music Festival, we had initiated the refund of your transaction on[protected]:03:17 and it takes a maximum of 10-15 days from then for the amount to get reflected in your account.
There may be a high possibility of the delay in the reversal amount to reflect in your account as it involves the card issuing bank.
Our customer care team had reverted to your email with the reversal details on 16th April.
