Dear sir, I would like to inform you the address sanjual, teli para near Hari Mandir his named Ranjit Mondal & his customer ID( C-339083) he is illegal using the illegal electricity from the pole.I have also complaint in your office many times(Kharagpur Inda Shakti Bhawan) the action has not against so far every night (7 P.M to 8 A.M) there are taking electricity from the polo.They are using heater to cook,fridge,colour tv. water pump etc. The meter reading comes every month & take 300/- rs. every month.     My name is Probal Dutta.My consumer Id is[protected], metre no; E423375. My meter was damaged after getting connection of only three months later. I applied twice to the respective authority to change my meter but till now it has not been changed. but they are sending me a tabular bill without having any reading. They never take the reading of my meter. There is a great difference in between the current reading and the unit consumed . I want your help. please help me in this regard.

      Respected Sir,

      I would like to inform you that I had applied for the post of Assistant Engineer(IT & C), as per Notification Number MPP/2013/02 in West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (A Government of West Bengal Enterprise).My application no. is 811141 and my password is my date of birth 25/01/1990. The application for the recruitment was to be submitted online and the fee of amount Rs 400 was to be deposited in any branch o[censored]nited Bank of India through chalaan. The registration started from 26th of April and the last date of online registration and fee payment by the candidate was 9th of May.The exam date is on 16th of June. After registration and fee payment the applicants need to send their printed registration slip (from WBSEDCL website), chalaan slip and all relevant documents of the candidate attested by the gazetted officer through ordinary post at The Advertiser Post Box No: 453, Basavanagudi , Bangalore-560004 .The last date of reaching the application was[protected]. I registered online well before time, and paid the exam fee on 6th Of May. After that I posted my application on 8th of May with Rs 20 stamp as said by the officials of Ballygunge Post Office, Kolkata 19 .On 6th of June when I logged on to WBSEDCL's website to download my admit card I found the status "Application has been rejected due to following reasons, Application not received. I was shocked to see this status as I was preparing very hard for this exam because its an state level exam where probably there is a lesser competition and so there is a chance of getting selected.

      I called their Customer care and even emailed them, and said them to sort out my problem but they are saying, they can't do anything as the application has not been received, inspite that there is no fault of the applicant. They are saying its neither applicants responsibility nor WBSEDCL responsibility, this has happened due to postal delay or postal negligence. I found many people through facebook that even they had the same problem, some of the student even posted their application on 29th April, but their application was also not received. The name of some of the applicant's facing this problem whom I met in facebook are as follows Srijit Das, Madan Sarkar, Soumesh Raha, Arjun Mukherjee, Poulami Biswas, Himadri Das, Silpi Dhua etc.

      On Monday I visited the office of WBSEDCL at Vidyut Bhavan, Salt lake, where I found around 20 students present their and pleading the officials to accept their application and allow them to appear in the exam.

      I spoke with WBSEDCL's managers, and make them understand that there is fault in the system because as per advertisement it was strictly mention to do ordinary post, which is not secure. If it would had been speed post we shall not had faced this problem because we could had tracked our application. So why should the student suffer for this? Few managers admitted that there is fault in the system, but still they can't do anything, as according to them the decisions are taken by the higher authority.
      I then spoke with the Additional General Manager, Head of Recruitment and Manpower planning. The moment I entered his cabin, he said if the application has not been received we can't do anything, because its not our responsibility, he said how will we verify where the applicant is eligible for the job or not as the application has not been received. I said its WBSEDCL responsibility to allow all such applicant's whose registration form and chalaan payment was submitted online, because the information regarding the applicants are still there in the database of your company, and documents of applicants could be verified after exams also like other government companies do, or if you will allow us we can again re post or speed post our documents, chalaan slip(Candidates copy) as well as our registration form before exam date. I even said if its just the matter of documents verification then you can verify our documents here also, and allow us to appear in the exam.

      I questioned him that why applicants were forced to do ordinary post and not speed post? I said what is the meaning of online submission of application if the same application is to be posted offline? I said almost every government companies uses online portal for submission of application, where a candidate just need to apply by giving the details of its candidature and fee payment, where the documents verification is done only after the student clears its written exam. So why is the process of posting the documents? He said don't compare with other companies, we follow our process, and so those whose application has not been received, we can't do anything. I requested him a lot that there is still a one week time, they can manage and make the students appear in the exam only if they want. But he didn't agree with me.

      The Additional GM said he has learnt a lesson from this and he feel bad when he goes back to home, for all such applicants who faced this problem, as such applicants are visiting him from last four days. He said he has sympathy for us. I asked him that why applicant's should suffer as there is fault in the system? He admits that there is fault in the system, and he will take all preventive actions from next recruitment drive, but things can't be sorted now.

      I don't understand that why WBSEDCL is not willing to correct their mistakes. I would like to ask a question that What if a student is preparing for civil service exam from last one year and will not be permitted to appear in the exam due to negligence of the recruitment team? I think this type of negligence will cost the life of the student.

      So I request you to please take the matter seriously and pressurize the WBSEDCL officials to allow every students to appear in the exam, whose application has not been received though their registration and fee payment has been successful. I have even attached my registration and chalaan slip with this email, please go through it, as it will help you to understand the matter more clearly. I don't know why my application didn't reach at the destined address. But I don't see any fault of the mine.

      I hope you will bring pressure to all those who are responsible so that the innocent applicants don't have to suffer anymore.

        Sub: Consumer Harassment for Disruption of Electricity for Long Duration

        Dear Sir, I am Syed Sultanul Arefin, son of Syed MD Zaber (Service Connection No.- D/10354, Consumer ID.[protected] to bring you kind notice the fact that my family has been faced a lot of problems for disruption of electricity for long duration from the date 2/4/2013 at approximately 3:15 p.m. to 3/4/2013 at 7:59 a.m. having continuous near about terrible 17 hours of disruption of electricity supply in spite of filed a complaint to the electric department at 6 p.m., we have not been got any sort of help from your side and experienced a terrible 17 hours of harassment from child to old age including local other families also which is not a new experience.

        Under the circumstances, we request you to look into the matter and take necessary actions on your part is highly solicited, so that we the normal consumer will be relieved from unnecessary harassment.

        We also requesting you to please take legal action on erring employees who at 10.00 p.m. have gone with service van beside our home and in spite of our call at that point of time including several times requesting over phone they did not responded and did not done their service where commitment to public utility services is one of the essential element of any service organization which is their vital part of duty and responsibility and have gone from the place without helping and serving proudly which is a criminal offence under the jurisdiction of under Sections 2(b) ,(c), (i), (f), (g) , (o) etc. of Consumer Protection Act, 1986 and also under The Indian Penal Code, 1860.

        WBSEB — harasment

        The person who delivers the electric bill name "Uttam Ghosh" is using abusing words while giving the electric bill and telling "do what ever you can do " in the salt lake area. Please take action about this matter as it is going much bad .

          Dear sir,
          Its unfortunate to say you that I am an Ex-Serviceman from indian navy and presently living at West Bengal, East Medinipore, Panskura Municiple Corp, Navapally,Suranankar, Ward No#1. My complaint is that I have applied for a new connection from WBSEDCL dated 09.06.2011 vide application no-[protected]/Quot/03/1385 and procured a case receipt for487 INR. since then i am walking down to the above mentioned office on regular basis and have only promise to connect.
          I have given many writen complaint to the above mentioned office but in vain.Therefore I request to you to take necessery action for immediate new connection without any more delay. For your information no any electric pole is required as the nearest electric pole is 10 Feet away from thr proposed new connection point.

            My "Electronic Meter" is not working for a long time (about 4 months). I submitted complain 4 months ago, I had a receive coply of that complain.
            Till date, No one from BANPAS ELECTRIC SUPPLY came to my home for repair or replacing or No any notice received by us.

            I had already paid a absurd bill amount three months ago, as i hoped that bill will be last absurd bill. But they send another absurd bill amount today. This bill amount is too high for our previous 5 years average.

            I went to BANPAS ELECTRIC SUPPLY, then advised me to contact 'Dukhiram Meta' (Meter servicing worker), who takes ""100-200 TIP"" for his work

            What should I do........

              Sir,
              I applied for a new connection at Andal More under Andal Electric Supply on 22/05/2012 with a given connection fee of Rs. 200 vide Application No- [protected]. Till than I am moving one table to another but no one told me what to do. Some times they told that you were not present at the time of inspection. When I submitted a signed document of their representative and told that if I was not present how can I get the letter, than they argued with another tropic. So, kindly tell me what to do now.

                  WBSEDCL "installation number/type" for online payment account

                  But while creating online a/c for payment, they seek the the installation Number/Type.

                  Where again the persons at phone didnt had a clue as to what is...

                    This is to inform you that I am residing at 41, Kamal Park, Birati, Kolkata -51 and consuming electric services under WBSEDCL vide the Consumer NO. A061829 ( SRI GANESH CHANDRA DAS) & A061834 (SMT SABITA DAS).
                    Recently I have found that very close to my parents’ bed room some construction is going on for the installation of Electric Transformer. I am the only son of my aged parents (Father 73 Years and Mother 63 Years) and I have to stay outstation for most of the days for my official work. After the construction work started my parents become sick and their Blood Pressure gone up as because of thinking of staying in their bed room which will be very very close to the Transformer.

                    Under this circumstance I request you to consider this on humanitarian ground and immediate do the needful to stop current construction work for the Transformer Installation and relocate the installation to other safe place.

                      This is to bring to the notice of West Bengal State Electricity Board, that the electricity meter issued against my consumer id no.[protected] is found not to be giving the readings as it should like in other meters in the complex. Sometimes the readings show and sometimes it does not. This has been informed to WBSEBDCL on[protected]. Moreover, the readings are taken once in three months, and there too, they don't adhere to schedule. The last reading was taken after 119 days on[protected], and the Bill generated was like that issued by Kirana Shops.
                      May i request you to kindly have this issue sorted out.

                      Low voltage during last 10 days

                      Our customer id is[protected], in thename Charjajira pry. School. p. o:charjajira. p. S:kalyani are in problem of very low voltage. every normal eLectrIcal services are being hamperred. being a school early action should be solicited.

                        I am Hiranmoy Rakshit having my house at Sabinara Bye Lane, PO - Chandanangar, Dist - Hooghly and my electricity consumer No - J030900. One of my nabour has taken electric connection inside my premises, for which we are not able to carry out any construction work.

                        Kindly resister my complain, and request to shift the connection through road side, so that my premises remains free from any unauthorised power lines.

                            Hi - We stay in Bansdroni and our electricity is provided by WBSEDCL. The bill gets calculated on quarterly basis and is a pre-paid bill. what is the logic behind doing this?
                            If a person doesnt stay for the 2 months in future they are paying the bill in advance which gets calculated HOW?? This is very "unhygienic" and not ethical. The bills should be generated on 'Actual Values' and not on 'pre-paid' - Please change the process and follow how CESC OR any other electricity board in the country/ world does.

                              Respected Sir/Madam,
                              I permitted Mr. Bablu Karmakar (my neighbour) to use my land-building premises for installing of service angle when he took new electricity connection few years ago. But now I want to repair & rennovate my house-building. So I requested Bablu Karmakar to remove the service angle from my land building premises because the portion of my building where the angle is installed will be repaired . But Mr. Bablu Karmakar denied to remove the angle & turn down my request.
                              Explaining the total fact I wrote an application & went to submit it to "The, Office of the Superintendent, W.B.S.E.D.C.L , Secto-II, Badamtala, P.O+ Dist: Burdwan". But the offcials of this office refused me to accept my application & said to me, "Go to your neighbour Bablu Karmakar & compromise the matter, WBSEDCL officially will not interfere in this matter" Kindly inform me sir, what should I do in this circumtances?

                                AFTER PAYING THE BILL, I REQUESTED WBSDCL-HALDIA DIVSION FOR ADJUSTMENT OF EXCESS AMOUNT BILLED OR REFUND THEREOF. BUT SORRY TO STATE WBSEDCL-HALDIA DIVISION IS NEITHER ADJUSTING THE EXCESS PAYMENT MADE BY ME NOR MAKING ANY REFUND THEREOF.

                                  I have been sanctioned with a of 4 kilowatt electricity load. But during the hotter days voltage remains around 160-170 in the peak hours and 180-190 on the rest of the time. As a result of this our electrical equipments are getting damaged. Here I along with my another neighbors jointly submitted petition as well as verbal discussion also for conversion of existing single phase line into 3 phase line. But they are not in a position to hear something.

                                    In our part of the world Electricity these days has become one of the biggest problem.Its understandable maintenance activity is going on but hello you guys must be working slower than a tortoise its been over 5 months and still the problem continues.You need to understand that we need electricity during the night time anyhow during these so called maintenance period unless you people have are determined to take us back to the "STONE AGE".
                                    Thank you for your effort to roll us back to stone age.
                                    Hope we move ahead in the near future.Electricity is a basic requirement for all so please no discrimination.............

                                      My WBSEB consumer id no is[protected], and am to inform the authorities that the meter readings are very very irregular. The last meter reading was on 07--02=2012 and since then none. Four months have gone by, and yet nothing has happened. Late reading forces us into higher tariff slabs thereby ending up paying more. I have written several mails to their officers, but have not received any reply. Please do the needful so that we the consumers are not fleeced unnecessarily by forcing/pushing us into higher tariff slabs .
