I, a Prime member of Amazon India, am filing this complaint due to a failure in the delivery of my order and the extremely poor customer service I have received throughout this process.

1. Order Not Delivered: On 5th October 2024, I placed an order, expecting Prime-level delivery service. On 6th October 2024, the delivery agent arrived but refused to deliver my product because the lift in my building was not working. Despite the agent being fully capable of delivering the product to my 3rd-floor apartment, he left without completing the delivery.

2. Multiple Unfulfilled Assurances: After contacting Amazon customer support multiple times, I was repeatedly assured the product would be delivered, but this did not happen. Despite being promised that action would be taken against the delivery agent, no update or resolution was provided.

3. Dismissive Specialist Team Response: After several calls, chats, and contacting Amazon via Twitter, I was connected to a customer service specialist on 13th October 2024, who rudely claimed that the product had been delivered, despite the fact that I have CCTV footage clearly showing the delivery agent leaving without delivering the product.

4. Unacceptable Customer Service: The customer service I received was unprofessional and dismissive. The specialist team insisted that their resolution was final and refused to take any further action, completely ignoring the evidence I provided. As a Prime member, this treatment is unacceptable.

I am seeking immediate action to deliver my product as originally promised, not a refund. I expect Amazon to honor their obligations and provide the service I have paid for.

    amazon - refund not issued for more than 13 days

    I ordered a Vamas Women's Silk Padded Self Design Sleeveless Readymade Saree Blouse worth Rs 1349/- on 14th Sep 2024 and got it delivered on 20th Sep 2024
    Unfortunately the blouse was tight so I placed an exchange request for a larger size.

    Amazon shipped this order with amazon courier service and their own partner that is Amazon courier services was the carrier partner. This item was marked as delivered on 29th Sep at 06.18 pm. Immediately contacted Amazon helpline at 06.19 pm. They asked me to wait for 48 hours. On 1st Oct, after contacting them, they raised an internal investigation, of which they are not ready to share any details and nor they are ready to share proof of delivery.

      Respected Sir/Madam,

      I am writing to lodge a formal complaint against Amazon regarding a series of issues related to my recent purchase, which have caused me significant distress and inconvenience.

      1. Damaged Product Delivery:
      On [29/09/2024], I placed an order for [name of the product: e. g., whey protein] on Amazon. Upon receiving the delivery, I was shocked to find that the product was damaged/spoiled. This was highly unacceptable, given the expectations I have from a reputable platform like Amazon. I promptly raised a complaint with Amazon customer service and was informed that it would take up to 3 days to complete the internal investigation process. However, instead of a quick resolution, the issue has been further escalated unjustly, as detailed below.

      2. Unfair Policy Violation Notice:
      To my utter surprise, I received an email from Amazon shortly after raising the complaint. The email stated that my account had violated Amazon’s Conditions o[censored]se policy due to multiple refund claims for damaged items. This accusation is baseless and deeply troubling. As a loyal customer, I have made legitimate refund claims only when products were either damaged or defective upon delivery, which is entirely in line with the rights granted to consumers under Indian law.

      3. Amazon’s Lack of Accountability:
      I feel that Amazon is attempting to shift the responsibility onto me rather than acknowledging the poor quality of their product deliveries. Instead of resolving the issue at hand, I have been threatened with account-related consequences, which is not only unfair but also contrary to Amazon’s duty of care towards its customers.

      4. Request for Immediate Action:
      Given the above, I request your urgent intervention to:

      Ensure that I am provided with a full refund or a replacement of the damaged product.
      Investigate Amazon’s handling of my complaint and ensure that their unjust violation notice is retracted.
      Ensure that Amazon adheres to consumer protection laws and addresses customer complaints transparently and fairly.
      I am attaching the necessary documentation, including order details, communication with Amazon, and the email regarding the violation notice, to support my complaint.

      I trust that you will take this complaint seriously and take appropriate action to ensure a fair resolution. Thank you for your time and assistance in this matter.

        Amazon refused refund

        I order Vinod Roma Stainless Steel Saucepot from amazon. It came under 10 days return policy. When i tried to return, nobody came to pickup. I raised pickup 4 times after each cancelation i had to call amazon customer care and they keep telling me it will get picked up next day.           I ordered a smartphone through Amazon. I received it on 3rd Sep. I was not at home so my mother accepted it. Usually online retailers deliver the smartphones and other expensive items with open box delivery and make a video for the same. But this time it was not the case. My mother asked the delivery guy for the same. But he took the OTP and just gave her that. I asked my mom to not open the package as I knew there must be some kind of issue with it because of the delivery guy behaviour. When I reached home around 12 midnight. I opened the box with my video camera on. The outer box seemed a little bit old but I did not make a huge deal out of it. Overall the phone seemed okay until I switched it on. As soon as I switched on the phone and restore my data with my google id. The phone started glitching. On the left bottom corner there was a screen glitch. At the same moment I initiated the technical support and asked for a phone checkup. The technician from Amazon was supposed to come at my place to check the phone. But he called me and asked for the phone pictures to check if it has been damaged or not. I shared the same on call. He asked me to do some trouble shooting still the phone was having issues. Also the phone overheats whenever I put it on charger. I told technician about it lagging, glitching and overheating even after doing basic troubleshooting. He told me that he would be creating a replacement order on return. I agreed to it because the phone was not upto my expectations. But then there was no updated of replacement order on amazon app and the technician was not picking up my calls. I called amazon customer service they told me that they would be escalating my concern to their investigation department as one of the accessory item was also Missing from the package (which was not my concern as I was focused on the defective mobile). They asked me to wait for five days. As the return window was going to expire, I asked the agent if I could still return the item for the replacement, she said yes I'd be receiving the refund or replacement even the return window is expired. In the mid of these five days I received an email from their specialist team that i can not receive any kind of help as my package was not DAMAGED. It was never damaged, it was defective. I contacted amazon, they asked me to wait until the 5 days are over. When the 5 days ended I contacted them and they told that my request has been rejected from their investigation team.
          I know the reason why they rejected it because amazon customer service didn't share the whole concern. My concern was defective item and they kept me going back and forth. It has been ten days and still I have to use this faulty phone.
          I got it checked with realme service center and they are saying that this product has been tampered by the seller (amazon). So they are asking for money and it is not sure if it will be working well. I have wasted 15, 500 rupees on a defective old item. Which works poorly. And amazon customer service has just kept me in loop without sharing any resolution or helping me out. Two agents promised replacement, made fals promises but still amazon fid not take any action for the same. Amazon is just here scamming people.

            We asked to delivery boy to check the product which he is picking up.
            He said yes this is right product.
            Today we came to know he picked up wrobg product from home.
            Now customer executive are saying as product picked up from ur end... u are responsible for it... but why.
            Like this any delivery boy will take any product.
            Who is responsible for this?
            Till now I have not face such issue.. every time pick up men always check product image than pick the product.
            Inspite of this when I said to returned that product... customer executive said its not possible... we are not asking money from the product which has been picked up... we r asking from product.. its not of small amoint its of costing 3500...
            Due to delivery boy mistake I will not able to return that product to other social medial platform site... I have to bear loss of 3500... inspite of fact I dont like prpduct.
            Still customer executive of amazon not agreeeing for reship of that product to me...

              I ordered 4 bedsheets through amazon. The seller partner Rajasthani Print (contact no was not available in amazon app). Amazon delivered only 1 bedsheet rest three were not in the package.

              Upon repeated follow up and complaint amazon is saying every thing was good hence there won't be any refund or sending missing items. They also refusing to help further and take any escalation. Customer care is denying to connect me with their supervisors. After that calls are getting disconnected stating server unavailable.

              Looking forward immediate action.

                I got an online job from Amazon online mall task platform and I was told to recharge to complete a task which I recharge 1000 which I did and completed the task and was ask to recharge 9578 again which I did and completed another task after that I was told to recharge 15100 to complete the last Task I and recharge it before i was now told to recharge 211700 which I don't even have so I loan in a bank to have that money still i did not get any penny .                   Product got delivered in unsealed form on 21st August 2024. Make complaint to them over the call, they launched their supposedly internal investigation, which according to them 3 days. I on the other hand has to throw out the product because i couldn't use. They didn't told they will be picking it up or anything like that. Now since i couldn't return the product they can't return my refund as well. How pathetic of them. Usually with damaged product they do not pick up the said item. Now everytime, you contact them you will be hearing new new policies or rules from their end to puzzle or harass the customers for their money.

                      I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the extremely poor service I have experienced with Amazon India. I purchased a power bank that turned out to be defective. Within the return period, I submitted a request for the product to be picked up and a refund to be issued. However, no one came to pick up the item.

                      I contacted Amazon customer care, and they reinitiated the return request. This process was repeated four times in total, but each time, the pickup did not happen. When I called Amazon customer support again to inquire about the next steps for the refund, I was shocked to be informed that it would not be possible to process the return or refund.

                      When I asked for a reason, I was told that their "investigating team" reported that the return process was canceled by me. This claim is completely false, as no one ever came to pick up the item, so how could I cancel it? I repeatedly informed Amazon customer care that I had not received any notification about the pickup, and I even requested that they provide an OTP for verification purposes if someone came for the pickup. However, I never received any such information or OTP from Amazon.

                      This entire experience has left me deeply frustrated. I have been a loyal customer of Amazon, having purchased many items in the past, and I have never returned a product without a valid reason. My purchase history can easily confirm this.

                      Now, I feel compelled to escalate this matter and seek justice. I request that this complaint be taken seriously and that appropriate action be taken against Amazon India for their unprofessional and deceptive practices. As an honest Indian citizen and a taxpayer, I expect my concerns to be addressed by the relevant consumer authorities.

                      I am not seeking money or a refund at this point; I am simply asking for justice. If companies like Amazon are allowed to operate in this manner without accountability, it sets a dangerous precedent for online commerce in India.

                      Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a prompt and fair resolution.

                        I, being a member of Amazon Prime, would like to draw your kind attention towards the deteriorating customer service of Amazon India due to some dishonest, unprincipled and dodgy Delivery Associates as well as the loopholes in your grievance redressal mechanism.

                        If a company tries to hide itself as against resolving the issues being faced by the customers, it is an established fact that principles of natural justice are being denied, apart from the rules and regulations, which are put in place for the safeguard of the Consumers. Individually, some of the issues faced by me are as under, among others :

                        (i) Cancellation of the orders by the Delivery Associates on their own without the information to/consent of the customers.

                        (ii) Marking the orders as “Delivered
                        ” by the Delivery Associates without delivering it to the customer.

                        (iii) One more “classic” incidence was experienced wherein the return packet was picked up by your Delivery Associate which did not reach at your end and refund was processed only after a probe was conducted by Amazon, which took approximately 15 days. That process in itself was a harassment wherein I had to call Customer Service many times and to wait endlessly for long time as much as 40 minutes as if the Amazon is of the opinion that Customers are made to suffer and they are duty bound to spend hours for the resolution of their grievances.

                        (iv) At Amazon, delivery of orders to customers is left on the “pleasure” of Delivery Associates to deliver it as per their convenience and sometimes on the pleasure of Seller and they can refuse to deliver.

                        Time and again, I have brought these issues to the fore. It is really unfortunate that right from the level of Customer Service Executive to the Escalation mechanism do not work at all. Once I had taken up the issue to Grievance Officer too, but to no avail. In my recent orders, same is the situation when two of my orders have been cancelled out of which one was under “one day delivery” being a member of Amazon Prime. It is an irony, that most of such incidents happen with “one day delivery” orders, otherwise claimed as a benefit to a Member of Amazon Prime, among others. Apparently, purpose of being a member of Amazon Prime got defeated.

                        Such incidents not only harass customers but also bring disrepute to your organization having international footprints. I hope that such elements will be dealt with an iron hand, but have less faith that anything positive is going to be achieved soon. it is once again requested that the issues raised may please be probed thoroughly to reaffirm the dwindling faith in Amazon’s claim of being “earth’s most customer centric company”.

                          I joined Amazon prime hoping that I will get faster deliveries.
                          Strangely all my orders are processed as non prime member even though the seller item qualifies for prime delivery.

                          On day of delivery the item reaches the final delivery hub at around 7 AM in the morning. Normally it should be out for delivery by 11 Am.
                          But it just does not go out for delivery and in the end returns to the previous hub on its own without even getting out for delivery.
                          This is consistently happening.
                          I am getting all my deliveries as non prime member despite being prime.
                          Amazon prime is a waste of money.

                              I got a wrong product delivered from Amazon (Order #[protected] and they accepted their mistake after their investigation and agreed to create return pick up. But now nobody is coming up to pick up this order and every time they are cancelling it and blaming, I am cancelling it. As per their policy, as said by their CC agent, if three pickups fail, they would initiate my refund, even if pick up does not happen. Now they are neither picking up the product, nor giving back me the money. Every time I talk to CC agent, they say different thing and blame me for cancelling the pickup while I am not doing anything and I am frustrated because my money got stuck and I need Laptop as soon as possible, that would not be possible until I get my money back from Amazon. Request you to help me get my money back as soon as possible.
