DELL Inspiron 1525 — Fault battery
I bought a Inspiron 1525 in August 2008. As of today the battery is not charging. I called Dell and they told me that I needed a new battery. After spending nearly $135 for a new battery, I am still having the same issue. Unfortunately my laptop is out of warranty. I have read the various forums on here to find a solution, but still nothing. It seems this is a pretty regular issue with the Inspiron 1525 and other Dell laptops. Can Dell come out and FINALLY say what the solution is? Why is it so hard for them to say what the problem is. It's pretty sad I spent $135 for battery after being told that was the solution. Dell Inspiron One Desktop — replacement of fully damaged desktop under warranty
I WANT SEND LEGAL NOTICE TO DELL...i have reported to dell head office (in banglore) that my desktop is not funtioning since two month. i have complaint about 10 or more times to service centre but i got no responce by the company.. the main thing is my system is under warrenty period.but they are not taking necessary action on my problem.

Dell Laptop Studio 15 — DEFECTIVE LAPTOP DELIVERED

I would like to share my experience of buying a Dell laptop with you. You may wish to forward my concerns to your senior Management people who can take a view of whether they would like to review Dell’s policies or whether Dell is comfortable in harassing customers and making their experience with Dell a nightmare. I had previously purchased a Studio 14 laptop from Dell vide invoice No. 00242342 dated 27.6.2009 against order No. 0329176 and had faced no issues, but this time my experience has been horrifying.
I had purchased a Studio Laptop 1558 on 20.8.2010 after making full payment (Order No.[protected] and the same was delivered to me on 27.8.2010.
Immediately after opening the laptop, I found that the touch pad was not working and called up Technical support. Over phone they (Mr. Mohan) told me to reload all the drivers, which I did. But still the touchpad was not working. He told me that the same needs replacement (Case Ref: 5301435 and Service Tag No. 364P6BS). I conveyed to him that as this is a new laptop, I do not want any part to be replaced and instead desire that the whole laptop should be replaced. I also told him that he should send some Dell Technician who can technically verify the defect.
The technician came on 1.9.2010 and after finding that the touch pad was defective, he replaced the same even when he was specifically told by me not to replace the defective part. But he said that as he is from Wipro (Dell’s vendor) and they have been advised by Dell to replace the part and he is only doing his job.
Immediately I again called up Dell Technical Support and conveyed the same to Mr. Mohan. He assured that they would take approval of replacement of the laptop. He said that another team would call me within 2 days and arrange for picking up this defective laptop and then they would be sending me the new one within 25 days after the same has been picked up. When I said that I cannot wait for 25 days, then he told me to talk to customer service. He said in the meantime he would take the approval.
I then called Customer Service and talked to Ms. Sumana who said that she has noted my concern regarding the 25 days deliver period and she would arrange for some senior officer to talk to me within 2 days to resolve this issue. While I was talking to her, she informed me that Technical Support has already obtained approval for replacement and they have informed the replacement team.
I am to inform you that till today nobody from Dell (neither from the Replacement group nor from Customer Service) called me and hence I had no option other than to call Dell again. After being put on hold for nearly 13 minutes, I could talk to first Mr. Mithun from Technical Support and then he escalated the matter to his Manager, Mr. Malwan. After discussions for nearly 25 minutes with both Mr. Mithun and Mr. Malwan, I have understood a lot about Dell’s policy of treating its customers and my concerns are:
1. Dell has no qualms about how the customers feel when they receive a defective product delivered by Dell? They are least bothered about the customer and talk of their Bible (Dell’s policy this and Dell’s policy that)
2. Dell pays no heed whether the customer is being inconvenienced by not being able to utilize the product that he has purchased?
3. Dell does not care about the money (not a small amount – Rs. 56,000/-) already paid by the customer in advance?
4. Dell’s policy of replacement of a newly delivered defective laptop in 25 days is merely harassing a customer for no fault of his, as Dell has delivered a new laptop to me in the first instance in only 7 days. I have also subscribed to Dell’s 3 years complete accidental damage cover and hardware warranty by paying a princely sum. If this is the type of warranty and cover that would be provided, then I don’t see much brighter days for customers.
5. Dell is absolutely not bothered about customers time and instead of responding to my concerns on their own, I again have to call up Dell and wait for eternity to get connected to someone. This shows Dell’s unconcerned attitude towards its customers.
6. If Dell treats its existing customers this way, then I am not sure, how long your business model in these lines would last.
As none from Dell is responding to my concerns and I am not willing to wait for 25 days more after Dell picks up the defective laptop (I simply cannot understand why it takes so many days…), I have already advised Mr. Malwan to refund my payment made to Dell.
If Dell still practices what your founder believes, i.e. ‘Delivering positive Customer Experience’ and what Mr. Sameer Garde says in the article in VARIndia “At Dell, after-sales support is a means of ensuring total customer satisfaction.” [http://www.varindia.com/July2010_ChannelBuzz6.htm], then I would expect that the least Dell can do is to refund my payment IMMEDIATELY and allow me severe all my ties with Dell with a very very bitter taste.
I hope that Dell would at least not disappoint me this time.

BACKGROUND:
I, Nandini R Prabhu, mother of Master Aashwij R Prabhu had booked a Dell brand of Laptop for my son from E-Zone, Shop no.S-23, 2nd Floor, International Business Park, Oberoi Garden City, Oberoi Mall,Goregaon-East,Mumbai-400063,India on 1st Aug' 2010. This laptop was purchased for my son to enable him to prepare for his exams that was scheduled from 25th August’10 onwards. Mr.Sunil Singh was the sale executive representing Dell in the above shop. After finalising the configuration, I paid the full amount of Rs.61,620.00 towards full and final payment including delivery charges of Rs.750.00 for the Laptop. A receipt was issued to this effect (Receipt no.Dell/C329 dtd.01.08.10, Quotation no.IRN[protected] and was informed that the laptop would be delivered in maximum10 working days. After several telephonic follow-up, the laptop was finally delivered by Blue Dart courier only on 27th Aug'10 (after 27 days of my booking) but in damaged condition. Upon opening the box, it was found that the laptop display screen had a big crack in the middle. Attached are the photographs of the laptop and Emails sent to Dell for easy reference. It has been over 12 days now, there has been no response from Dell on the above matter.
My sympathies are with you.

DELL INSPIRON MINI — Problem in my Laptop
I purchased a dell inspiron mini laptop, In starting days it was working very well but now from last 10-15 days i m facing so much problem. when I starts this in every morning it starts easily but once it shuted down then it takes too much time to restart and the desktop dosent appears. Hello Sir,I went to Dell Authorized Service Center J-29 , sector 18 , Noida around two months ago to get checked my laptop as there was some problem in keyboard. I meet there with amit(dont know his full name) and he diagnose the issue and suggest me to extend full cover warranty for 1 year by paying 7590/- INR. and this keybard issue will be include in this also.
So I paid amount 7590/- INR cash to Amit and Get laptop at evening when issue was resolved and Amit commited me that I will get INSO No. within 5-7 working days but when I ask him after 7 days then he said that there is some problem in Dell server as its being migrating so it will take some more days to generate INSO No. and in parallel I was in contact with Sagar Manchanda he is senior of amit.
But at last around 1 month back I got Quotation no. 25013166 from Sagar Manchanda and Sagar was said me that Now Dell has changed INSO No. term to Quotation No. so by telling this Quotation No. you can avail service from Dell within all over India.
But When I talked with Khushbu Gupta(dell customer care) on[protected] I was informed that still my laptop is not under warrenty and there is no INSO or Quotation No. is assigned to my laptop. For this communication with Khushbu case no. is 4516611
So I want to know where has gone my money and why my laptop is not under warrenty.
Please look into this and tell me what should I do now as I have already pay the amount to Amit/Sagar.

i installed the bluetooth software on my dell vostro 1088 but whenever i try to turn on the bluetooth it displays a message to press "fn+f11" but on pressing "fn+f11" it doesnt responds, it remains disabled.

I bought Dell inspiron 15R model through credit card directly from the companyI Was delivere dthe laptop on jun 2nd 2010, i hardly used 17 days and after it started trouble no display
I called the technical support
He havesent DSP along with new RAMs
but it was still not working
Again i called and informed the same
this time he replaced Mother board and RAMs twice
but problem was un solved
So i asked them, to replace whole laptop
He said it will take 30-40days MAximum(it was july 15th 2010)
Till date i didnt get a single call or mai regradin the status of my laptop

I hv Dell Inspiron 1545. It also hv the same problem of battery issue. the battery icon shows plugged in, not charging.and also daily 1% charge is losing.and come to steady at 1% charge. I had purchased a Dell Laptop D 3820 which was part of a bulk purchase made by railways for officers. For one year everything was fine.after that my battery has gone.Its very difficult now to procure same as dell deals only on phone or online
