I booked a bus on Oct. 4, 2013 for travelling from Bangalore to Kollam for travelling on 8th October.
I went there to board the bus on that day at the landmark provided (Opp.Ayyappa Temple, Bata showroom, Downstairs, Madiwala. MADIWALA (KPN Travels)) They said that the bus was cancelled. They didnt even provide me an option of another bus. I couldn't travel that day.
Later on Oct 11th I send them a mail for refund. I didnt get a response from them for 7 days. Mean while i asked for the status of the request, no one cared to respond. I was fed up and thought of calling them. I spoke to a guy from Goibibo customer service, he told me he will send a mail to operator again for confirming that the bus was cancelled. He gave me the ticket number 46790621. He assured me i will get a refund within a week. As i didnt get a response from them even after 8 days I called back Goibibo. This time i spoke to a very rude customer service agent named Neha. She told me that the operator (KPN travels) informed them that the bus was not cancelled and because of that they are not going to refund my money. I was actually shocked. With all the problems they have given me till now, they are not going to provide the refund now. She tried to conference the call with the operator but she told she couldn't connect to them as they are busy. She told me this was also documented under the same ticket number[protected]. She asked me to call them later. She kept on repeating throughout the call that as operator has informed that the bus has cancelled, i will not get the refund.
At this point I don't understand whether its a issue with goibibo or the bus operator (KPN travels). Anyways as a customer I am completely dissatisfied with your service.

If you are facing a similar problem what i would recommend is exposing the issue in social media. I posted the link to consumer complaints directly on their facebook page. This made them escalate the issue with high priority. Things started working out amazingly fast after that, I started getting replied and messages from them. Loved the power of social media.
Also i have submitted a complaint in a 3party website name Akosha, which might have had some impact in the procedure as well.
Anyways im happy that the issue was resolved.
