    On 12th Feb'23 I had booked "Specchio 2 Door Wardrobe in Seasons Dark Finish by Varanda Woods" Order no.[protected]. On the morning of 27th Feb'23 I received the delivery of the wardrobe (unassembled) and in the evening a carpenter visited to assemble the product. Same day the carpenter identified that 1 part was missing and the moment he realized which part was missing he did not check the remaining parts. After multiple follow ups, I received the replacement on 14th Mar'23 and on 16th Mar'23 new carperter visited to realize that there is another part which is incorrect. Now another 3 days have gone by and I have had no proper response from the customer service team and everytime they call up, they tell me that they will get back to us in 2 - 3 days.

    Request: I need a full refund in my bank account and compensation for this experience

      I live out of town and pre ordered a mattress to use when I arrive home. When I checked, found that the product was much smaller in size and I reported to them immediately. They refused to replace the item stating their 7 day replacement policy. This was not highlighted nor mentioned at all when purchasing the product. Their customer support was not helpful. Also a bench that I ordered was damaged when delivered and I requested to reconsider the final amount and they offered only negligible discount on a damaged product that they sold to me. I don’t recommend pepperfry to anyone and I will not purchase from them again.

        I brought a High Back Revolving and reclining Office Chair from Pepperfry for my home office desk, spending almost Rs 8000 on it .This was delivered on 24th November 2022. A person was assigned from their side who came to deliver, as well as installed the product, which is basically fixing the rod of the top half into the bottom half of the chair. Pepperfry claim that they assign carpenters but he seemed like the delivery person and I do not know for sure if he was a carpenter or not. After installation he sat on the chair and told me it was fine. I asked him if it was stable and all he said was yes of course it was. Within a week the chair got a little tilted to the right back but I did not complaint because it was still fine to sit on and it didn't bother me.

        On March 12th, the chair broke and toppled backwards while I was sitting on it. There was a chest of drawers behind it so it toppled as far as that and on realising that it was falling back I put my weight forward to save me from the fall. A family member who was present nearby came running to hold the chai and pull me up. Thankfully, I don't have the habit of sitting in a reclined position backwards, and that saved me from the fall and cracking my head wide open. It could have seriously lead to a head injury otherwise.

        After this I went to the website to Raise a complaint. This product has warranty on it, mentioned on the site. I wrote down the complaint, attached pictures and tried to submit my complaint. But guess what the submit button does not work. On clicking it even multiple times nothing happened. I was not directed to any other page.

        Then I raised a request for a call back. I got the call back and I was asked to send a mail with the complaint, mentioning the issue. I did that. They told me they will send a carpenter to check.

        The carpenter came on March 14th and checked the chair in front o[censored]s. He told me specifically "maam the chair is broken and cannot be repaired, so I will have to report an unrepairable damage from my side." I asked him "then it will get replaced no? " he said he didn't know anything else. He talked to his senior on a call infront of me using only the word "unrepairable damage" but nothing other than that.

        Today is 15 th march I get a call from the pepperfry customer service. The guy tells me that the carpenter has given a feedback saying its a "USAGE DAMAGE" so nothing can be done about it and the complaint will be closed here! But the carpenter did not mention this word. Pepperfry refuses to share the feedback they got from the carpenter transparently.

        1) A chair, that too a heavy office chair like this is not something people throw around or play with, it is used for SITTING . You will use a chair and not keep it on display on a shelf top! They cannot just shrug off their responsibility by saying "USAGE DAMAGE " .

        2) The carpenter never used this word "user damage", he said "irrepairable damage" . They have refused to share any proof of feedback from the carpenter saying its against their policy. Where is the proof that the carpenter has shared this feedback and pepperfry is not making this up to shrug of their responsibility.

        3) How do they know this is an usage damage just by looking at it? Why has it broken within four monthhs of buying it!

        4) why can I see 100's of other peppperfry consumers with the same complaints that Pepperfry is selling them faulty products and when it is breaking within a few months they refuse to help or take any responsibility for it!!

        No refund, no replacement, no repair service, nothing is being given.They have closed the complaint. I checked social media and there are hundreds of more customers like me who are being sold bad quality products that is breaking within months and pepperfry is just blaming the customer for it and not doing anything about it! I have spent Rs8000 on this product .Please HELP

          We have ordered the matteress on 28.02.2023 but still we have not received the product, and tracking details are showing it has been delivered on 6th March, 2023. We are following up with the customer care but not getting any reply from them

            Didn't deliver product and not refunding the amount we have ordered the mattress on[protected] and on 6th March we have received the message that mattress has been delivered, we are following up with Pepperfry but customer care people are not giving proper answers

              We have booked a matteress online through Pepperfry on 27/02/2023. But till date we have not received it and now tracking details is showing that product is delivered on 06/03/2023. After sending mails and making phone calls we are not getting any response.

              I m asking their customer care person to refund us the amount but they are not giving any response. They are giving only one answerwill get back to you after 48 hours

                I ordered a 4-door wardrobe from Pepperfry order ID:[protected], and technicians arrived to install the product on 15th February. But the installation was rendered unsuccessful as the wardrobe was defective due to faulty and missing parts(Images attached below). So we placed a return request immediately

                We are getting emails from Pepperfry that the problem will be sorted out in 48 hrs 72 hrs etc. Even after 2 weeks apart these messages nothing has happened from Pepperfry's side regarding the return/replacement.

                We are regularly following up on Pepperfry's customer care regarding this. Apart from assurances that the problem will be sorted out in 48/72 hrs every time we call them nothing is being done from Pepperfry's end even after 14 days.

                This cannot go on further with absolutely no response from Pepperfry to settle the matter. This is not acceptable from a company of your stature. I have spent a hefty sum of Rs 32, 000/- on the wardrobe and you guys have sent a faulty piece without proper inspection before dispatch putting us in enormous hardship.

                Request you to settle the matter immediately either by replacing it with a fresh one or Refund the amount at the earliest.

                  It's been a month I raised a request for a product not delivered, but no action was taken. Someone called and said wait for 48 hrs but it's been a month since then. When I tried to contact pepper fry, I raised 4 chats since morning and every one said wait till EOD and the case manager will call you. But there was no call till 7.
                  There was no SURVEY sent after the chat.

                  The below line which PEPPER FRY Claims in their AD's and on their Website is MISLEADING.

                  "Pepperfry credits can be used for up to 50% of the cart value with 14 days validity and once lapsed/expired cannot be extended" says that 50% of the cart value as credits with 14 days validity can be used,

                  but where is the CAP on the limit mentioned.

                  The above clearly shows that PEPPER FRY is frying and fooling people with this CASHBACK Offer.

                  When a person buys a FURNITURE Worth 20k and goes by the 50% Cashback offer the expectation is that we can redeem the value of 50% of 20k on our next purchase. But the reality is only Rs.2, 500(which is only 12.5% of the buying value) is allowed which is a let down.

                  I feel this CASHBACK Scam is good only for purchases of Furniture worth 5k only wherein they can get Rs.2500 back with the 50% CASHBACK OFFER.

                  We recently bought a STUDY TABLE Worth Rs.14, 599. During placing the Order it was mentioned that 50% CASHBACK OFFER is available and were given Rs.7, 300 in our wallet to be used on our next purchase within 15 days.

                  We intended to utilize Rs.7, 300 in our wallet by placing an order for a SINGLE BED WITH STORAGE (Zyva Single Bed With Box Storage In Provincial Teak Finish) costing Rs.30, 399 and only then did we realise that the CASHBACK offer given by PEPPER FRY was misleading and not true.

                  We realized that the actual amount redeemed can be only Rs.2, 500 and the balance amount of Rs.4, 800 is CLAWED Back by THE PEPPERFY People.

                  Why is PEPPERFRY Frying/fooling to people mentioning about 50% CASHBACK, when the customer is placing order above 5K which is clearly MISLEADING.

                  The Customer support reply to the above query which we had raised with them on 17th February was an AUTOMATED reply and it is pathetic for a company of this stature to treat their customers with this type of LETHARGIC Reply.

                  We are not happy with this bitter experience we were made to go thru.

                  Sorry to mention the bad experience we were pushed to.

                    Hi all,
                    Its painful to even explain my bitter experience with Pepperfry.
                    On 12th Feb i got delivered a twin marble top centre table with golden frame. As soon as it got opened i noticed the smaller marble circle is complete white with no pattern and bigger marble circle has the patterns. The deal was showing on website to sell both patterned marble tops. This is first failure point - MIS SOLD / INCORRECT PRODUCT SOLD. Straightaway i called customer service, chatted with them and uploaded clear pictures and a case manager promised to talk to supplier to replace it. if not refund the entire amount.

                    Then later that day i realized there is some discolored or rusty paint that does not look good so i reported the same to pepperfry customer service the same day. and i was assured that the case manager 'Bhibuthi' will get back to me. Since 12th Feb till 21st Feb no one even called me back offering a resolution, replacement or refund. every day i called them and they promised to call me back withing 24hrs. NO ONE CALLED.
                    on 22nd Feb i received a called back from a member saying they cannot replace or refund the product as there is nothing wrong with it. I was frustrated and angry both and somewhat surprised with their response.
                    at the end of the call they said they will look into it and asked me to send another set of pictures to decide.

                    I am surprised they way Pepperfry operates. I feel like as a customer i am a hostage to them as my money is stuck with them, they are in complete control what they can refund, replace or just refuse to do anything.

                      I ordered a product ( Id:[protected], Cloche Bell English Rose Soy Wax Sented Jar Candle by Indian Crystal Company) which showed delivered on 8th feb 2023 but was not actually delivered. I reached out to pepperfry on 9th feb and filed a complaint regarding this. After that i contacted them multiple times but got the same response " we will resolve your query in 24hrs". Even after a week same response received. When i asked for the refund they denied it saying can't process refund before conformation from delivery merchant. Worst experience.

                      I can understand the pain, which i have gone through myself. I told them directly that they are the most incompetent, incapable and unprofessional company I have ever come across. But it hardly matters to them, They all read from the same script. Moreso, the pepperfry studio is Pune has nothing to do with the online store!!!

                      I feel, once you buy a product from them (which by the way probably come from china as they take 20-25 days to deliver...) the customer becomes hostage to them with their own money to chase.

                      I am hoping that this forum will be able to help.

                      NEVER BUYING FROM THEM AGAIN.

                        Issue: Order delivered by a delivery person from Pepperfry, On checking the order at time of delivery mentioned that the screws in Chair are all rusted, the leather body on chair is all having damping smell. This product is old and i cannot accept it. The delivery person said please accept it and i will raise a complaint from my side, and pepperfry will do inspection and will replace it. I agreed to it and accepted the piece. No one did any follow up. After couple of days, when i reached to pepperfry, they arrange a technician to do inspection. Technican came and saw the issue and said, pepperfry will get back. They will do the exchange or else return the product. Its been more than 5 days now, pepperfry has not updated anything on the status. I initiated the refund in the application and emailed them couple of times but no response. They keep stating on Chat with Agent the Case manager will get back if you give miss call or something, i did a thousand times but no one gets back. Product is still with me in rotten condition and my money is stuck and i have no where else to go.

                        Issue: Order was packed in box and delivered by some delivery person. When unboxed, found that the product is in damaged condition. The Lamp rod is bend. I raised complaint for return for this order as well. No response from pepperfry and Case Manager did not returned back at all. Even after contacting pepperfry customer service and tried couple of contacts, no one is responding. On 9th Feb, i found another contact[protected], reached to a person, on mentioning the issue, they said pepperfry is not responsible for refund. Pepperfry has paid the money to merchant and they are not responsible. The product had 1 year manufacturing warranty as stated on website but pepperfry is giving such lame excuses and not giving any responses.

                        A total sum of 17950Rs is gone in vain. Both products are in damaged condition and pepperfry is not even daring to follow up or work on the case. My money is all stuck and feels like stolen by this company. Its a clear case of fraud and cheating.

                          Hi Everyone,
                          Pls do not make any purchase from this fraud pepperfry, I bought an item from them which was damaged I submitted return request with photos and it got accepted. I got couple of text message of items collection also got mails, to my misery this pick never happened. The greatness about the portal is you cant call customer support you just give miss call and keep on giving they will never call back. Send mails they raise case which is not going to be looked anytime.
                          I had my bad luck pls do not get trapped.

                          Still waiting to be heard from them wrote mail to grievanceofficer also, all bogus,

                            Since I have faced this problem i want to make everyone aware of the fact that pepperfry want their customers to totally rely on the picture of the website and buy the product because once you receive the product and it will not fulfill your expectation there is no chance they will entertain your return or exchange.
                            in todays time when more than half of the population is buying online pepperfry doesn't provide customers a chance to return or exchange the product in case the customer doesn't like the quality of the product when compared to the wedsite picture .
                            i bought 1 cushion cover set, 1 3 seater sofa cover and 2 seater sofa cover set from pepperfry and upon the receipt i doesn't like the quality of the products compared to the pictures on the website.
                            when i purchased the products a 7 day return policy was mentioned on the website, but when i made a return within 24 hours of receipt they decline the same saying we don't entertain quality and look flaws
                            only if the product is damaged we will replace or return it.
                            Basically pepperfry wants their customer to keep whatever they ordered at once bcoz further they will not entertain any returns and exchange.

                              We had ordered and received above...but there were issues with quality and final product. Immediate request for return was accepted but now, since last 10 days...they are not taking it back...multiple complaints to customer care have not yielded any success...wondering specially since its a well known company ???

                                Order No.[protected]FM1962274-S-PM18057 dated 14th Nov 2022.
                                I ordered Three Items - Poster Bed, Mattress, Mattress Protector. There was a delayed delivery and damaged bed was delivered. For taking a decision to pick up the damaged bed it took more than 20 days and was picked up on 22nd Dec. I asked for a replacement for which they told they cannot provide. Since they were not in a position to provide a replacement i informed them to pick up the mattress and mattress protector which i purchased as a set. Customer Care team informed that they can pick up mattress and mattress protector only if there is a damage. Inspite of my best efforts the unqualfied customer care team could not understand that they had given me a damaged bed, Unable to provide replacement and still they want me to use the mattress and mattress protector. I tried explaining to the teams that if the mattress is not taken back you are actually forcing me to limit my options when i am buying a new bed since the new bed has to be purchased as per the dimensions of mattress. There is a Grievance officer who does not understand what a grievance is. You write a mail to the Grievance officer and response will be again from the same Unqualified Customer care team. On a day to day basis we interact with several customer care centers for Services. This is the worst Customer Care team i have ever seen. They do not respond timely. Any decision will require a minimum 72 hours of time. My advise to Buyers is if you want to get your Brain fried you buy from Pepper Fry.

                                  We have raised 3 complaints with the Pepperfry company for a refund of a cot ordered on 19th April 2022
                                  A plank on the cot is breaking continuously and when raised a complaint all the times it is being rejected as a usage issue though its under the warranty period
                                  Pepperfry has cheated us with the quality and service

                                  we have initiated the return in a month as we faced the issue
                                  The plank broke twice after the purchase and the team pepperfry claims it to be the usage issue, a carpenter from the pepperfry also visited the site and claimed it to be manufacturing defect for which we received the mail too and also the carpenter confirmed the same with the case manager Rohan over the call
                                  After all this the team pepperfry close our case stating its a usage issue
                                  this is soo unethical and rude from the pepperfry company.
                                  The cot is under warranty and they are denying to replace/ refund or repair the cot

                                  We have placed a return for the cot on 16th July as we see that the product quality was bad
                                  we have raised 3 complaints on the plank breakage and we told that it was a usage issue
                                  the cot is under warranty and is being denied every time we raise a complaint
                                  on Dec 3rd 2022 there was a carpenter visit and we were notified it as a manufacturing defect for which we received a mail and also we had a conference call with the case manager Rohan and carpenter on 3rd Dec at 7:03PM where the carpenter cleared it was manufacturing defect, still after all these the case manager Rohan and tea pepperfry closed the issue saying its a usage issue on 12th of Dec
                                  This is heights of cheating by the pepperfry team

                                  Got a call from the customer care of Pepperfry and was told that the bed was damaged and not a manufacturing defect, they even denied doing a repair
                                  what kind of cheating company is pepperfry who dumps their products at home and leave
                                  they do not provide post sales service too
                                  A street hawker/vendor is far better than the pepperfry as the street hawker/vendor at least tries to repair when the sold product is damaged

                                    Refusal to pickup return

                                    We have been trying to return this product for a month now after return was approved and we were told it would be picked up. This is the worst service I have experienced in quite some time. Totally inept. 4 times now they have promised me a pickup and REFUSED to come get it. Complete lack of communication and total lies from the reps. Just give me my money back and i will throw it in the trash if you dont want it back......
