Hi,

This is with reference to my experience with Shopper's Shop, Vashi (Inorbit Mall) today post my bill payment.(Bill No: 3459).The security guard at the exit door stopped my wife and me, as we were leaving the store, because of a beep signal. Without any further explanation , our shopping bag was taken and the lady security(TOPS) at the luggage counter as well as the security guard started searching through our articles, At a point they even dumped my expensive Polo Tshirts and other items on the floor while other customer , who had walked in were shouting at the TOPS security to stop this and start collecting their luggage bags. There were around 20-30 other onlookers along with one of my neighbours who were watching this ruckus. People were staring at us as if we had done some shoplifting. Inspite of asking both the TOPS Security guards to give us an explanation as to what was going on, they chose to be very impolite and didn't acknowledge our questions and made us look like some unrespectable people standing there.There was no sense of politeness in them.

Let me bring to your notice that I was very badly humiliated and my dignity was under question. It felt very embarassing to be looked at by other people with suspicious eyes for something we didnt even do.
We even asked for a store manager who could take our complaint, but he wasn't available. We found out later that their cashier(on the ground floor) had out of error forgotten to remove the tag from one of the items.

Tell me if it was our fault!! I am extremely upset with the kind of treatment we received today. I am sure they could have handled it in a much professional and human way. They could have taken the bag and told us politely that there was some problem and we should go to the cashier. Why were we being treated like that!! Today after I came home, my neighbour even asked me what I had done wrong at the store....

I have been a loyal Gold customer since the last 10 years.or should I say ever since Shoppers Stop was introduced in Pune(You may check my history ).Never have I faced such impolite and insulting treatment from anyone .

This is not just one issue , the second issue(of a much lesser intensity) is that I have been over and over again been asking for my renewed membership card. I even updated my address with you all 1 year back and still today I hear that my card is still in Pune. Being a Gold member I have many times asked for a parking sticker,which I NEVER got.


Ofcourse these are the smaller of the issues, but what happened yesterday(4th October at around 9 pm) was beyond my imagination. I cannot believe this is how my wife and I were treated.


I can only say that this would be the last time I will ever shop with your chain and ensure that my friends know the ordeal I went through ,today.


I am hereby asking for a compensation for the humiliation and embarrasment that we were subjected to by their Security persons today, in front of all other customers present at the store.Not once did the supervisors on the floor go and question those security people. The way we were insulted in front of so many people, similarly they should apologise in infront of the whole store.

      I have odered a red tape shoes via shoppersstop online services with order no:2951785 dated[protected] . I have paid the amount for it using my punjab national bank debit card. I paid an amount of Rs.1097.50 .But the order has been cancelled by shoppers stop due to the lack of product in their inventory. The problem is that even after more than one month the amount has not been given to me. I have contacted the shoppers stop customer care more than 5 times and yet there is no measures taken from their side. Every time i call they say the amount will be given to you and you have to contact the bank. and i contacted my bank and the said that they are helpless in this case.And they told me that the amount will be added to my account as soon as the shopers stop pay them and to contact shoppers stop. Now what can i do , and that is why i am posting a complaint. I request your quick attention to this case

        I made three orders (2995081, 2758953) separately in www.shoppersstop.com. After 10 days, i received an email that these orders were cancelled due to lack of stock. I didnt understand why they list products which are not availabl with them
        I placed a third order[protected]. I called them after 2 days to enquire and they said they cannot confirm whether it is available or not and it take 5 days to confirm.
        I was really amazed by their ignorance of how much the online shopping has improved in India. Worst of all the customer care executive didnt even regret or apologize for cancelling my orders.
        I lost my valuable time in selecting and placing the orders and still i didnt know whether or when i will receive my money back.

        So, please never place on order with shoppersstop.com.
        This is my worst online shopping experience so far.

        SHOPPERS STOP — FRAUD

        I HAVE ORDER 9 ITEM IN ONE ORDER ON[protected], GOT DELIVERY OF ONLY 5 ITEMS ON 01-09-11 THAT TO AFTER SEVERAL FOLLOW UP, SHOPPERS STOP IS A BIGGEST FRAUD ONLINE COMPANY IN INDIA, THEY CHEAT PEOPLE OPENLY ON THEIR WEBSITE THEY SHOW PRODUCT UNDER SALE , BUT AFTER PLACING ORDER THEY WILL DELIVERED ONLY THOSE ORDER ITEM THAT TO WITH DIFFERENT PRODUCT CODE WHICH IS NOT UNDER SALE, AND FOR SALE PRODUCT THEY WILL SAY OUT OF STOCK WITH MANUFACTURER. THIS IS MY WORST EXPERIENCE FOR ONLINE SHOPPING , SO I REQUEST WITH MY COUNTRY PEOPLE NOT TO TRUST THIS COMPANY IF THEY ARE OFFERING 80% -95% DISCOUNT .
        I have face same problem, They are big fraud company in india
        I had ordered for the U.S POLO Assn. Jacket at an offer price buy paying through DEBIT card but now it shows that it has been canceled. If I ask for customer care they give negligible answer. This has become the business tactics to get more recognition by giving invalid offers then cancelling it.

          I visited Shopper's Stop, Malad W, Mumbai on the 31st Aug 2011.
          Had left my mobile phone in the Home Centre section (3rd floor) on the seats of the foot massaging machines, near the cash counter at around 2215 hrs, when the store was closing. There were no other customers around that place then.
          When I realised this, went back to the same place at 2245. The phone could not be traced by the security persons. When called was responding as switched off, which indicated that someone was in possession of the mobile phone.
          Being a brand name as Shopper's stop, I am just hoping that I can get my phone back.

            The Shoppers Stop store at Kolkata's Forum Mall is forcing customers to "buy" plastic carry bags in the guise of green initiative as per the government's regulations.
            They are not providing and other packaging material like paper/jute/cotton bags for the goods sold and are asking customers to buy plastic bags from them else carry the goods in their own hands.
            the shop is obliged to provide packaging material as per law and their choice but they cannot shy away from their responsibility and compell buyers to purchase plastic bags from them.
            Also,I fail to understand this green initiative where sold plastic is better that free plastic?

              I am Biswanath.I made two online orders in www.shoppersstop.com and they told this will be shipped in 2-3 days.On 4th day I called them up and they are saying that this product is out of stock so this will take 3 days minimum.Off course a product is subjected to availability but in that case why don't they mention in their catelog that product is out of stock.I cannot wait for indefinite time to get a shirt.
              When I called the customer care and told my concern they gave me a silly solution saying that it can be cancelled anytime.They should know that product is ordered to procure not to play order n cancel game.

              After that I made a cancellation yesterday and still they havenot cancelled the order and saying it will take 2 more days.So same story continues.
              Please take action on this

                    Hi,

                    On 22nd Apr 11, me and my wife went to Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden, and bought some stuff, one of which was a scarf bought for Rs 400.00. At around 8:15 PM we reached Shopperstop Rajori Garden, and as usual, we submitted our bag with the baggage counter to a lady employee from Shoper Stop, which had three products that we bought from Pacific Mall along with the bill.

                    When we got back after approx an hour, and picked up our bag, we got surpride of our life, knowing that the scarf in tha bag was not there. It was aparent that it was picked by one of their staff. When we raised it with their security, we were to told to go home as security wanted to check this on vedio tape and confirm the next day. Next day we got a call from Mr Pradeep from Shoper Stop Rajori Garden, that did not find anything. Even after taking the photocopy of the bill, S Stop sercurity did not agree that it was picked by one of their staff, and completely shrugged our complaint away. This was not just the loss of Rs 400 but also breach of trust with which customers give their belonging away at the baggage counter. I'm not sure where to raise this, hence registering my grief at this site.

                      Usage of RTI can solve your problem.
                      1) White paper with detailed query of status of application for PF number (from to respected sir format)
                      2) 10 rupees postal order
                      3) Post to address
                      Public information officer, EPFO, place where PF account maintained
                      See the response in 30 days and the government officer in charge of your application has to give reason with justification/answer and it will stand as a proof with valid authorized signature from a government officer.
                      Please write query in clear ad legible manner. If there, enclose the copy of PF withdrawal or transfer application with your RTI application.
                      Government officials will not give blunt replies for your RTI. You can see the accountable person for delay has to give an answer within 30 days and has to do his duty without fail. If not, he will be fined for each day delay in providing information.
                      Lot of success stories are there in usage of RTI in all government organizations since 2005…
                      Please send application to Central Public Information Officer of nearest Provident Fund office with postal order of Rs.10.

                        Hi Sir/Ma'am,

                        I bought the glares(sunglasses) of rupees 8000 of D&G brand from Shopper Stop Lucknow and after a month we found the bubbles coming on the glasses of the glares, as it was in warranty period we contacted the shoppers stop on 5th feb 2011 and they gave us a receipt with no 1638, when we handed them the defective glares for repair on the same day. They gave us the time period of 36 days which kept on increasing. We asked them for a replacement or a credit note but they just refused and we still dont have the sunglasses.

                        So we require your extended support to get our problem resolved, Waiting for your support with anticipation.

                          I placed an order with shoppersstop.com for 2333 inr. However, I was not at home when the package was being delivered and the guard at the apartment refused the package. this package tracking number is aramex [protected]. The package was therefire returned to shoppersstop with tracking number [protected] which recahe dthem on march 8th. today is mar 15th been a week and they have still nto refunded my money nor responded to my 6 or 7 emails. I am relaly disappointed. I will never shop with them and will do whatever it takes to get the refund they owe. In fact their online customer service is relaly bad. they do not respond to emails at all and then say we are unable to reach you by phone. why don;t they send emails - because i guess they feel it becomes a record for customer.

                          Better shop with futurebazaar and otehr sites where customer comes first.

                            I was being told the product generally get delivered in 3 working days although in unique cases a maximum of 7 days.

                            Now when I called today to expedite the case I was being told that the product is not available hence I should choose either a different product, which when I go to their website was posted up for sale at a higher rate. Now what I felt is that when they saw the demand of the product they go on to hold that product by thinking to sell it a high rate.

                            Now in this scenario I felt cheated, when all other websites like futurebazaar.com, yebhi.com or homeshop18.com do send the product in 2-3 days.

                              My daughter and her friend went to Shopper Stop, Wakdewadi, Pune Branch yesterday 5 March 2011. They parked their three month old AVEO at around 11AM in the car park. The attendent was so rude that instaed of helping the women to park the car was abusive and rude. They parked the car in the paid car park and then shopped for almost 5 hours at the store.
                              When they came back to the car park after shopping they found one wheel fully flat and other three tire almost made flat. With the help of some local guy they paid huge money to get the fully flat tire changed so that they could drive home. Today when i was this tire the rude attendent had shoved sticks and loosned the valve fully due to which th tire was fully flat. Well mI am sure if the women had been more late they would have been physically asualted. this is after the store charges heavy parking fees.
                              CITIZENS AND SPECIALLY WOMEN PLEASE AVOID THIS SHOPPER STORE BRANCH UNLESS YOU WISH TO BECOME A VICTIM ONE DAY OF THE LUST OF SHOPPER STOP SECUIRYT STAFF..

                              I also had the similar experience few weeks back. I appreciate someone has brought to the notice of general citizens. let us boycott Shopper Stop departmental store till we see appropriate action being taken.
                              I feel a criminal complaint must be filed with the Police Commissioners Office as this is a serious issue. One cannot expect women changing tires of the cars at such places. I am sure they must have been charged any amount near to Rs1000/- as we have all opprotunist people.
                              But thank God they could move out without any physical harm.

                                Hi,

                                I ordered for a gift through shopper stop online shopping (Order Number 2768937, dated 9th Feb 2011). It was not delivered. When I checked with them, they are now saying that the stuff I ordered is not available with them. They didn't even bothered to inform me that they cannot find what I ordered. If it was in their online catalogue, why was it not delivered. They have already deducted the amount from my credit card.

                                This is serious breach of trust. As it was a gift for special occassion and date. I informed the recepient that they will be receiving a surprise gift from me, and this is the suprise I got from shoppers stop.

                                What can I do further so that shopper stop should behave more maturely in future.

                                  In continuation of my previous compliant against Shopper's Stop from where I had purchased my Espirit wrist watch, I would like to share that after keeping my faulty watch for three days in observation this is what Manoranjan Das, Retail OPeration Manager, Ravi Kumar, Department Manager has to say:
                                  "The watch is functioning properly, come and collect it".

                                  This watch which I had purchased from Shoppers Stop stops after every 5 hours and functions only when you change the time of the watch. Now the customer care guys of this shop are saying that it has not stopped even for while when it was in observation in the store. Plz advise what can I do in a situation like this. I feel helpless and will never puchase anything from Shoppers Stop Hyderabad that is in Inorbit mall as it is run by a bunch of frauds and cheats and will advice you to stop purchasing anything expensive from the place. You could be the next one.

                                    i m having 3 gift vouchers no.[protected] of rs. 500/- & no.[protected] and[protected] of rs. 1000/- respectively. the vouchers are of issue date 24th feb. 2007, which was gifted to me from our company Shriram Chits. Sir as we r not having any outlets of the same at nagpur they got lapsed. Hence, looking to the facts tht u already have received the amount for the things tht havent been brought from yur place i request u too plz look into this matter and plz do renew the same in the current date.

                                        I have shopped on Shoppers Stop online shopping for a Ray-Ban sunglasses (worth Rs. 3999), where the catalogue says a Free gift (wrist watch) will be delivered on all orders made on Ray-Ban products. But the consignment doesnt contain any free gift. when reached out to customer care, they instructed me to write an email to [protected]@shoppersstop.com. but i have not got any response from them, and customer care says to contact concerned department.

                                        So, I would like to register a complaint aginst Shoppersstop online shopping.

                                        Hi,

                                        I am surprised to see such poor services from a brand like shopperstop, this is my 1st & obviously the last experience to send birthday gift of sia jwellery set to my fiancee with regards to my order no 2809249orderd on 14th March, have just called the customer care to understand my order status, he intimate me it will reach probaly with in next 5days or else will get canceld, as the vendors doesnt have the product right now available with him, have requested him atleast change the product as its her birthday present & send her asap, he says sorry we cant do it.would like to understand if the vendor doesnt have this product why the same was shown available, secondly why the same has not been intimated for delay or non availabality of the product.
